Chapter 736
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 736
Odell frowned sternly. âWhat did you say?â Sylvia quickly changed her tone. âNothing. | was just wondering if you were thirsty.â
He scoffed. âNo.â
She answered briskly, âOkay.â
He glared at her. She was perplexed by this behavior and blurted out,â Odell, donât glare at me like that. Itâs not like I'm begging
you to let me see the children.â
â| wouldn't care even if you begged.â âI know.â
He glared at her again.
She stopped talking and let him stare at her as much as he wanted.
After a while, he crossed his hands in front of his chest and studied her expression. He observed how she looked like she had
suffered some great injustice and smirked coyly. âSo why did you come back? Thomas doesnât want you anymore?â
She frowned and kept quiet.

She wore a very hostile look and was visibly not interested in engaging in this discussion.
He chuckled. âWeren't you very insistent on going with him back then? Why? Did he get bored of you in just half a
year?»
She remained silent.
He laughed again. âI thought he was deeply in love with you or something like that. Turns out itâs just a half-year fling.â
She frowned with great irritation. âCould you stop talking about him?â
Heh. He mused. âSo, he did dump you.â
Sylvia: â...â
âSo, what do you plan to do with that?â he said as he gestured toward her stomach with a pointed look.
Upon mention of the child, the look in her eyes softened slightly. She stated, âI plan to keep the baby.â
Odellâs expression suddenly stiffened when he saw the way her face glowed with tenderness upon mention of the child.
The temperature in the living room seemed to plummet to a freezing point instantly.
Sylvia made a look and shrugged. âDonât worry. You

won't have to deal with this. Itâs not going to affect your future life with Miss Springsteen either.â âOf course | wonât have to deal
with that. It's not even mine anyway.â He hissed with contempt.
She bit her lips and asked after a few seconds of hesitation, âHowâs Isabel and Liam been doing these last
six months?â
He peered at her. âWhat do you think?â She stated cautiously, âThey're your children, surely you've been taking good care of
them?â
âYou're telling me.â
She got annoyed and blurted out, âCould you stop acting like this?â
Odellâs face darkened.
She promptly clarified herself, âI didnât mean to scold you. | just wanted to have a proper talk with you.â
A proper talk?
Odell raised one of his legs and rested it on top of his other leg. Then he leaned into the couch with a squint filled with scrutiny.
âYou stabbed me in the back for that man half a year ago. You'd rather go with him than be with your children and just like that,
poof, you disappear for half a year. You didnât even bother to call your children to check on them this entire time. | feel like Iâm

being extremely generous even being willing to talk to you now.â
Sylvia pursed her lips and muttered meekly, âIâm sorry.â She lowered her head and hid her face from him, afraid of confronting his
gaze. Like a frail, helpless little maiden who had her heart broken by a monstrous man, but too afraid and much too guilty to turn
back to where she came from.
Where was the same vicious, cruel-hearted girl who wounded him and insisted on going with Thomas half a year ago? She
deserved it!
A torrent of anger nearly erupted near the top of Odellâs head. He resisted the urge to pinch her cheeks and stated with an icy
glare, âYou should say that to Isabel and Liam.â
Sylvia suddenly turned up to look at him, her eyes reddened and wet with tears. âI will. Would you please let me meet them?â
Odell felt something caught in his throat.
After a brief moment, he gave his answer, âNo. Donât even think about it.â
Sylvia was speechless.
She lowered her head again and kept quiet. She clasped

her hands in front of her and kept rubbing them back and forth as if she was trying to hide her agitation. Odell suddenly became
very irritated upon seeing this. âStop rubbing your hands,â he said with a long sigh. She immediately did as she was told and
stopped. The look in his eyes softened. He swiftly looked around them and observed the piled-up dust everywhere , then he
asked, âWhy did you come back alone? Where's Aunt Tonya?â
She frowned and answered, âAunt Tonya isnât doing well and is focusing on recovering. She needs some time before coming
back.â
âAre you not planning to go back after this?â he asked with a sidelong glance.
