Chapter 27-- Our Bond Is Weakening, Goodbye Mate? (cleaned)

Aiden POV

‘’Ivy?’’

‘’Hm?’’ Ivana answered half asleep.

‘’Can you let me see Jayce?’’

‘’What do you mean?’’ She sat up rubbing her eyes and looking over at me softly stroking Seb’s fur.

‘’Well when you… After you let Jayce see what I saw and feel what I felt, we both met in this place…’’ I tried looking for the right words to describe where we were.

‘’I don’t understand. What place?’’

‘’ When I was in my coma from you I was there too. It’s like complete darkness and there was only my wolf. But when I was blacked out in the cave I was there again but Jayce and his wolf were too. He said he’s been there a lot but his was a forest and it never had the blackness and when I was there last there was never a forest.’’ My eyes drifted to the small girl on the other side of Ivana before turning my gaze back to her calculating eyes.

‘’It could be a dreamscape I guess. I don’t know how I did it though.’’

‘’Can you just try putting me back in the coma I--‘’

‘’No.’’ She cut me off straight away.

‘’Please Ivana I need to see him.’’

I tried not to sound pathetic in my attempts but I was desperate. I needed the comforting warmth of my mate whether it’s in a ‘dreamscape’ or real life. I could feel our bond disintegrating every day. It was getting weaker and I didn’t want to lose it. Not when we wanted each other so bad. Not when I finally got something good.

‘’Fine. Lay down.’’ She sighed and rubbed her face, slowly making her way over to me and moving Seb away only for him to climb straight back into my lap.

I smiled up at her before I laid back into the forest floor and closed my eyes.

Jayce’s POV ( oh my cheese sticks it’s been so long! )

I looked around The Land Of Memories and thought about how lonely it truly felt.

‘’You’re making me depressed’’ My wolf growled, resting his head on his front legs and his paws slightly touching the water of the river that flowed throughout the forest.

‘’ Depressed doesn’t even begin to explain what we’re feeling.’’ I shot back glaring at his carefree nature.

Knowing his nature is my nature only made me angrier. The bond was weakening. I could feel him slipping away and it didn’t sit well with me. Hell. If the feeling was on Pluto it still wouldn’t sit well with me.

‘’ I can feel him. He wants to see us.’’

‘’I can feel it too so you don’t need to commentate.’’ I scoffed and walked over to a large tree.

‘’Aiden…’’ I whispered and rested against the tree.

‘’ Sh.’’  My wolf demanded and I turned to him about to rip him in half when he stood abruptly and walked towards the tree I was at.

‘’ What do you mean sh--‘’

‘’Shut up!’’

I stepped closer to him growling before a rumbling broke through the sky and darkness slowly consumed the forest. The trees slowly disappeared amongst the black that left no room for the light to penetrate. Everything was gone.

‘’What the f--‘’

‘’Jayce.’’ I heard a soft boyish voice behind me.

I immediately swung around to see the most beautiful creature I had ever laid eyes on. My skin, my bones, my whole body electrified from the proximity of my mate.

‘’Aiden.’’ I breathed a soft sigh of content and wrapped my arms around him.

He felt so wonderful in my arms, so warm, so complete. I had never been so relieved or happy to see anyone in my life before.

‘’ It actually worked.’’ He whispered into my chest, his arms desperately clinging around my body, his fingers knotting into my shirt.

I moved my hands to his face when his grip loosened, rubbing my fingers through his hair and over his jaw and ears. His skin was so soft and his hair just the same.

‘’How did you get here?’’  So much happiness filled me I barely noticed his and my wolf rubbing against each other and whining contently at having each other’s scent covering them.

‘’ Ivy. She put me into a coma again. I asked her to do it because it worked last time. I can’t believe it actually worked.’’ He was smiling into my eyes but I could still see how his eyes were getting watery.

‘’Where are you?’’ I whispered as my thumbs unconsciously went to wipe under his eyes as the first tear spilled followed by my lips resting on one eyelid then to the next.

‘’ We were just with the Northern Tribe but they found us. The rogues found us and now I don’t think anyone’s left. We’ve been going back towards the fire looking for you.’’

‘’ We’re not there anymore. We’ve been going west.’’

I silently cursed myself for being so stupid. We must have picked up his old scent from when he was leaving the Western Kingdom.

‘’ We’ve? Who are you with? Are you with my sister?’’ He hurriedly said looking hopefully into my eyes.

‘’ No.’’ I shook my head softly.

‘’She’s with the pack. They’re scouting for you and researching…things.’’

‘’Things?’’

‘’Yeah.On Ezra and the rogues.’’

My wolf growled at the partial lie. I didn’t want to be the one to tell him about Luna. I couldn’t bring my mate so much pain.

‘’ So she’s safe?’’

‘’Yeah. I’ve got Evan, Rhyan and a lady named Helena with me.’’

‘’Who’s Helena?’’

He didn’t sound angry or jealous or anything along those lines just generally curios so we spent the next few hours talking about anything and everything.

He told me about how he had met two really nice people but lost them in the fight and now their daughter Paige was with them. He told me all about getting a puppy name Cerberus which he hates when people called him that, so Seb. I knew he was holding something back but I didn’t push him to tell me. He would tell me when he feels it is right.

Time seemed to fly by and soon enough we were both sleeping. My arms were draped around his waist and his head was buried in my chest. It felt peaceful. I wouldn’t be able to explain just how natural and great it felt. I wish I didn’t have to wake up because I knew when I did; I wouldn’t have him in my arms anymore.

A/N

Okay so first I’m saying sorry. It seems like a common thing but my life is really unpredictable with times I can actually sit down and write. I’ve been getting major writers block too. I know exactly how this book is ending but I don’t know how I’m getting there with everything I want to happen. Anyways all seriousness aside…

DID YOU MISS CHACE’S POV!?

I really missed writing haha I hope we can get some more of his views in the future it’s always good to get a double view on something.

Also I had to re-read this whole book to know what I was up to and I realised… There are quite a few chapters I’m going to have to edit once I have completed this book. I won’t do it now frankly because I’m lazy and it will take too much time to go through it again. Also I’d like to better my skills in writing before I destroy it with more rubbish. Don’t worry though! I’m not changing the story just fixing any wording mistakes and any imagery that wasn’t as good as it could have been.

I think I’ll do Luna’s POV next. I realised I wrote Chace a few times instead of Jayce in this chapter but corrected them so if you ever see it written just let me know please. Have a book with a Chace and another with Jayce wasn’t my smartest move. Derp.
