Chapter 138
Boomerang Love Online Novel
Chapter 138
Naomi snorted, âDo you think take me for a fool? You reminisce about Sophia right in front of me. And you were also repulsed by the idea of me helping you out of the car.
âYet when Chloe called, you immediately rushed to her overnight. If youâre that disgusted by me, Iâll leave! So why are you here looking for me?
âWhat the fuck do you want? Youâd better make it clear today. What proof do you want from me? Iâll even
act it out for you.â
Tired from a long day outside and with her stomach not completely well, Naomi was genuinely annoyed by these trivial matters. She had distanced herself, so why did Brendan come looking for her?
Just because he wasnât tired doesnât mean she wasnât exhausted.
Naomi wasnât planning to argue with Brendan, but he had gone too far.
Hearing Naomi mention Sophia and Chloe, Brendan stuffed his hands back into his pockets and fell
silent. He glanced at Naomi after a while. âNaomi, youâre being unreasonable.â
Naomi couldnât believe her ears. âFine, youâre right. Iâm unreasonable and canât see the bigger picture. So
go look for other women. I am done!â
Brendanâs expression was a sight to behold.
Seeing he was still blocking her, Naomi pushed him aside. âDonât ever come here again. Explain this to
your family yourself.â
For over two years, whenever Brendan caused trouble, Naomi always sorted things out at home and explained them herself.
Seeing how serious Naomi was by insisting on not returning with him, Brendan couldnât be bothered arguing with her. He grabbed the back of her neck and swiftly shoved her into the lift.
Naomi wasnât going down without a fight and pushed Brendan away, trying to press the lift button. But
Brendan stopped her.
âThatâs enough. Are you really planning on staying here forever?â
While the lift descended, Naomi hit Brendan with her bag a few times. âHoly shit, Brendan! Why are your winding me up this late at night?â
She was exhausted, and her stomach hurt.
Brendan didnât retaliate. He just held the back of her neck and pulled her to stand beside him.
After a while, when the doors opened, he pushed Naomi out of the lift. Naomi stumbled but quickly regained her balance. She turned to look at him.
âBrendan, Iâm finally willing to let you go. Donât waste your opportunity. Or youâd better not complain when I change my mind and push you to have a child with me.â
Chapter 138
Brendan felt speechless. Naomi never held back when it came to yelling at him.
Brendan held the back of her neck and led her to the parking lot. âFine, weâll have as many babies as your
want.â
Naomi retorted, âYouâd better not eat your words.â
When the two returned to Yellowind Bay, Naomi took advantage of Brendan going to the study by locking the door to the master bedroom.
When Brendan realized the door was locked, his mood soured as he twisted the doorknob aggressively.â Unlock the damn door, Naomi!â
Inside the room, Naomi was sprawled out under the blanket, completely ignoring Brendan.
She was sure Brendan wouldnât want to have children with her. And even if he did, she wasnât in the mood.
They could continue their little fight! He couldnât possibly outlast her. Sooner or later, he would have to bring up a divorce. Even if he didnât, she would.
However, she was busy with Charlesâ case lately and had no energy to argue with him.
Wrapping herself tightly in the blanket, Naomi ignored Brendanâs knocking outside. She pretended not to hear him and soon fell asleep.
But:
she hadnât eaten throughout the day and woke up with a grumbling stomach. She lay still on the bed, not wanting to get out of bed.
But her grumbling stomach was a problem, keeping her from falling back asleep.
After tossing and turning in bed, Naomi suddenly sat up. She decided to go eat something after all.
As she opened the door, she saw someone leaning against the door across from her with crossed arms. Naomi immediately jolted awake at the sight and stumbled back unconsciously.
