“Yes, you will need those medicines. I’ll also prescribe you some vitamins.”

At 10:00 pm, Naomi was preparing for bed after a shower. Brendan, who had just

returned, had a faint smell of alcohol on him.

Brendan pulled her into his embrace and rested his chin on her shoulder. “A little.”
