Brendan continued to remain silent.

Seeing his silence, Heather’s temper flared up. “What’s wrong with Naomi? In terms of looks, figure, education, and family background, who else is better than her? Why can’t you appreciate her?

After saying that, she handed Christine a tissue.

Christine took the tissue and wiped her tears, becoming even more saddened.

Naomi remained silent.

Naomi said, “Alright, I’ll have a child.”

Naomi tilted her head and rubbed her temple with one hand. “Yes, I promise.”

Worried that Naomi was just placating her, Christine added, “Your father has been quite troubled lately with company matters. Don’t cause him even more trouble.”

Naomi immediately straightened up. “What’s wrong with the company?”

She could choose not to have a child and tolerate frustration, but nothing could hinder her family’s journey to success or prevent them from making money. Every penny that Dennis earned now would be her retirement fund.

Christine replied, “I don’t know the specifics, but it seems related to the Sabella family. So, don’t cause your father any trouble.”

Naomi nodded and said, “I got it.”

With the assurance that Naomi wouldn’t insist on a divorce, Christine wiped her tears. “Just be sensible, and don’t pick fights with Brendan. Also, try to indulge him more.”

Naomi agreed. “Okay.”

Seeing Naomi and Christine, Heather greeted them with a smile. “Christine, are we done here?”

Christine replied, “Yes, I gave her a good scolding.”

Seeing the situation, Heather reached out and comforted Naomi. “Naomi, I just gave Brendan a good scolding, and Chloe has gone home too. I’ve had the entire house cleaned from top to bottom for you. If you still mind, we can consider moving to a different house.”

Naomi yawned and replied, “There’s no need to change the house.”
