Naomi stared at Brendan in confusion was he doing? She had thought that he was about to draft

the divorce papers.

Pushed back a few steps by Brendan’s forceful kiss, Naomi fell onto the soft bed.

Brendan held her wrists, pinning her down, and whispered in her ear, “Naomi, no matter how you put it, you simply want me to visit more often, don’t you? You’re trying to strengthen our relationship, aren’t you?”

Naomi looked at Brendan and asked, “Is that illegal?”

Brendan breathed warmly into her ear and said, “I’ll fulfill your request.”

With that, he kissed Naomi’s lips again passionately.

As Brendan kissed her fervently, Naomi suddenly recalled the scene when Chloe had made lunch for him,

their visit to the cemetery together, and his feelings for Sophia.

“Naomi, you won’t know if those fortune–teller’s words are true or false unless you try. Why do you have to

limit yourself?”

“You can forget about having children.”

Without responding to Brendan’s unusual initiative that night, Naomi contemplated whether she was truly committed to having a child with him. Even if they were to divorce in the future and he had children with someone, would she be content with being a single mother and allowing him to find happiness elsewhere?

Naomi suddenly realized that her mindset had changed without her realizing it. Over the past few months, she had even contemplated parting ways with Brendan on several occasions.

Thinking about all this, Naomi pushed Brendan away. “I’m not in the mood today.”

Despite her thoughts about having a child and completing what could be the most significant task in her life, Naomi found that she couldn’t force herself to do it.

Besides, given Brendan’s temperament, he might decide to give her some medication the next morning. Then, she would really regret it if she had gone along with it.

Brendan held her chin and asked, “I thought you wanted my help with the project?”

Naomi chuckled and replied, “Brendan, do you think I’m useless without your help? Besides, I’m afraid you

might discover something.”

Brendan didn’t like that comment. His expression immediately changed.

Seeing his reaction, Naomi quickly opened the bedroom door and said, “I’ll sleep in the next room. Sweet dreams. May you have no traces of wet dreams.”

After saying that, Naomi made a quick exit.

Inside the room; Brendan’s expression was sour. When he tried to chase after her to the next room.

Naomi had already locked the door.

The following morning, Brendan woke up with a solemn expression. Naomi had already gone to her law

firm.

His mood darkened, and he headed to work without even having breakfast.

At the same time, at the Sabella Mansion, Clement learried that the Goodwin Corporation hadn’t reduced the budget for the project but had instead raised the quality of materials to a higher grade at the same

price.

Clement’s expression darkened.

He could either give up or accept the project at a loss by raising the material grade. He never thought Dennis would be this ruthless.

Henry looked at the Goodwin Corporation’s project budget and chuckled softly. “It seems that Dennis isn’t even sparing his own people now. He’s openly challenging us.”
