A lot of people are waiting for you. So, you should go. Although I want to snuggle with you every day too, I’m not that unreasonable.”

“It’s okay, don’t worry about it.” Rick took Xixi’s hands and comforted her.

“I’m serious. I don’t want to be your burden. I also won’t try to convince you to quit. I know that you were born into that environment and that a lot of things are not up to you, that quitting isn’t an easy feat. So, you do what you have to do… As long as… you have me in your heart… As long as you’ll come back to see me when you miss me, that’s good enough for me.” Xixi was clearly choked up during the latter half of her sentence. Rick stayed with Xixi through the New Year, plus the dozen days before and after it.
