“Fish balls, oh, and I also want crab sticks and shrimp…” Little Bean did not restrain herself as she listed out the things she wanted to eat.

“Uncle Tang, do you still want to become one of us in the Qin Family?” Little Bean said arrogantly.

“Oh… Did you hear that Mian? Your little daughter already knows how to threaten people!” Tang Chuan tattle-taled to Huo Mian.

“She always knew how to do that. It’s not the first time…” Huo Mian said calmly.

“Little Bean. Come over here. Let me hug you…” Qin Ning was especially happy when she saw Little Bean.

Little Bean immediately climbed off of Huo Mian and climbed onto Qin Ning’s lap.

Pudding, on the other hand, sat quietly on Qin Chu’s lap.

“Pudding, do you want to come over to Uncle?” Tang Chuan called, trying to copy Qin Ning.

Pudding looked over at Tang Chuan and said calmly, “Daddy and I are discussing stocks… I don’t have time to play with you.”

“Oh…” Tang Chuan was immediately speechless.

Wei Liao laughed and said, “I heard you bought quite a lot of the Huo Company stocks. How is it doing? Did you make money?”

“I haven’t sold it yet. I’m waiting for the right timing,” Pudding responded.

“Good. You know how to look for the right timing. Great. Just like your dad…” Wei Liao praised.

Everyone sat around the table and ate hot pot. There were good conversations going on and everyone was quite happy.

Sometime during the dinner, Su Yu mentioned the recent murders. He looked at Zhu Lingling and asked, “Sister Ling, did Director Gao tell you that the murderer is for sure a foreigner?”

Yeah, it’s a foreigner. However, Ran said that the sketches of the murderer are inaccurate. People always describe foreigners differently. I don’t understand why. Are they a huge group of people or is he changing faces every time…” Zhu Lingling said lethargically as she put a vegetable in her mouth.

“Why? Yu, do you have clues?” Jiang Xiaowei asked.

“I saw something on our way here…” Before Su Yu could finish, Huo Mian’s phone rang.

Huo Mian had set a ringtone specifically for South Side so she knew someone was urgently looking for her.

Huo Mian immediately took out her phone and picked up the call.

“Hello. What? How long has it been…? Is it serious? Okay, wait for me. I’ll be there ASAP…” When Huo Mian hung up, she looked much more serious.

“Honey, what’s the matter?” Qin Chu put down his chopsticks and looked over at Huo Mian.

“Something urgent happened at the hospital. We just got a patient who’s bleeding internally. He needs surgery immediately…”

“There’s tons of stuff like this every day at the hospital. There are other doctors on shift. Do they really need you to go?” Zhu Lingling asked out of curiosity.

The patient’s relatives want me to do the surgery. If I don’t go, they won’t sign…” Huo Mian said seriously.

“What? That’s new… So Doctor Huo is famous…” Jiang Xiaowei joked.

“Honey, can you give me the car keys. You guys can continue eating. Can you take the kids home after? I’m going to leave first.”

“No. I’m going with you.” Qin Chu immediately stood up.

“It’s okay. It’s not that late anyways. I’m driving so it’s fine…” Huo Mian thought that it was unnecessary for Qin Chu to go with her.

“Let’s not waste time. Let’s go.” Before Huo Mian could respond, Qin Chu put Pudding on the floor and pulled Huo Mian by her hand and left.

He didn’t even have time to say goodbye to everyone…

After they left, Tang Chuan looked at Little Bean and Pudding and said, “You poor little angels. Your parents seem to have forgotten about you two. Do you think you’re really their children or just some children they picked up on the streets?”
