“Um… Fine. If he’s really kicking me out, then I’ll have to leave…” Tang Chuan pretended to sigh.

“Don’t you have your own opinions? So anyone can just tell you to leave and you’ll leave?” Qin Ning was obviously not happy with the answer he gave.

“I can’t just stay there if he wants to kick me out. I’m an adult and I have my dignity. If he’s kicking me out and I’m still staying, that would be embarrassing.”

“Honey, it’s Valentine’s Day today, right?”

“But why isn’t anyone selling roses on the streets. They don’t even sell it at the flower store. Isn’t it strange?” Huo Mian saw couples on the street holding hands. The girls were holding tulips or baby’s breath bouquets instead of roses. It was very strange because Valentine’s Day is the one day of the year where you would see roses everywhere. You would see roses of all sorts of colors, such as red, blue, and pink, flooding the streets…

Roses represented love but why weren’t there any this year?

“Oh, really? I didn’t notice,” Qin Chu said without much thought.

Huo Mian did not believe it so she opened her Moments on WeChat and to her surprise, all the couples were posting pictures of tulips. They also complained that they couldn’t buy any roses this year.

Zhixin was pursuing Bella so he originally planned to get her 99 roses and confess to her.

But unexpectedly, he couldn’t get any.

Jing Zhixin posted, “I don’t know what happened this year! I can’t buy roses anywhere, no matter how much I’m willing to pay. Can someone tell me what’s going on?”

Jiang Xiaowei posted a photo of the limited edition Cartier couple’s bracelet that Wei Liao got her this year. Beside the bracelet was a bouquet of roses made of gold. She said, “Since he couldn’t get roses this year, he generously bought me a bouquet of roses made from gold. Although it looks a bit outdated, I’m still very touched.”

On the other hand, Zhu Lingling posted a picture of her dinner. There was red wine and popcorn. She wrote, “We’ve been together for a long time already. It doesn’t matter if I don’t get roses since we have the rest of our lives together. Even though this man just gave me popcorn, I’m happy.”

Scrolling down further, Huo Mian saw Chen Jie posting tulips and a necklace.

Xixi was the only one that posted roses but she was in New Orleans.

She held a big bouquet of roses and wrote, “He’s a brave and ambitious person but he’s willing to live a simple life with me. Thank you, my beloved hero.”

Huo Mian liked all their posts and put away her phone. She said decisively to Qin Chu, “Honey, everyone but Xixi didn’t get roses. Xixi’s in the States though, so she doesn’t count. What’s happening? Did someone buy all the roses and is planning to sell it like gold? Do you have any sources on this?”
