“You don’t know him?” Wei Liao couldn’t help but laugh.

“Are you surprised? Why should I know who he is? It’s not like he’s some big celebrity,” Zhang Manlin said nonchalantly.

“He’s not a big celebrity but he’s much more famous than a big celebrity,” Wei Liao said mysteriously. “My name is Su Yu.”

Su Yu immediately took over the conversation, afraid of Wei Liao’s mischievous ways.

“Su Yu? Oh… I know. You’re the boss of Imperial Star, right?” Zhang Manlin tapped her fingers.

“Yeah.”

“So you’re the prince of the Su Family then?”

Su Yu:

“Wow, so you are the super-rich type… then why are we still talking? We’re not even on the same level! Haha, why should I make myself feel bad, right?” With that, Zhang Manlin got up to walk away.

“Hey, girl, don’t leave! Let’s be friends!”

Wei Liao really wanted the girl to stay. He knew that Huo Mian would never return Su Yu’s feelings… Why not move his focus to the girl in front of them?

“Forget it, I know what I am. We’re not the same type of people. I’m just an ordinary citizen and you guys are the royalty of this city. Us being friends? Are you kidding me? To be blunt, if you treat me to a meal, it might cost tens of thousands of dollars. How am I supposed to treat you back? So, forget about it. You guys have fun. Pretend I’m not here, haha.”

Zhang Manlin laughed playfully and then turned around dashingly…

“The girl’s very interesting.” Wei Liao glanced over at Su Yu, watching his reaction.

Su Yu didn’t say anything… But seeing a woman so similar to Huo Mian in the middle of the night definitely rattled him and gave him mixed feelings.

Su Yu wasn’t in the mood to drink anymore, so he got up and grabbed his jacket.

“Go home, man. Go home and sleep.”

“You’re not drinking anymore? It’s still early!”

“You should get home. We’re too old to pull all-nighters.”

With that, Su Yu and Wei Liao left the building in tandem. Somewhere in the corner, Zhang Manlin watched as Su Yu left the building, her eyes sparkling.

After a full week of busywork, the weekend was finally here.

In the morning, Huo Mian’s mother called and said that she wanted to see the twins, asking Huo Mian to bring them for a visit.

During breakfast, Huo Mian brought it up to Qin Chu. Although they were still ignoring each other, some things were more important.

“Honey, I’m going over to my mom’s. Want to come with me?”

“It’s okay. I’m going to work today.”

“It’s the weekend, you’re still working?” Huo Mian bit down on her lower lip.

Yea, there’s a lot to do. Bring the twins with you. Drive carefully.”

With that, Qin Chu put down his chopsticks and went out the door.

“Mommy… are you and Daddy still… fighting?” Little Bean asked.

“No, we’re not fighting.”

“I’m not stupid, Mommy. Look at the two of you… don’t tell me you’re not fighting. Did you see Daddy’s face? It’s as if someone owes him a lot of money,” Little Bean mumbled.

“Um… your Daddy’s really busy these days… he’s just really tired,” Huo Mian explained.

“Oh my god, stop kidding yourself… Daddy’s jealous of the male doctor from that day, right? Why can’t you explain it to him? Men are easy to coax. Either act cute or put on some sexy lingerie and seduce him. How easy is that? We wouldn’t need to worry about the two of you then.”

Little Bean didn’t have the time to watch her words; she was too anxious to resolve the tension between her Mommy and Daddy.
