“I plan on being by your side for a long time, living off on your money. That’s why you have to live a long time, or else I might starve to death.” Qiao Fei didn’t say anything too committal because he didn’t want to give Lu Yan any pressure.

“Let’s get married in Rome once we kill Ian,” she suddenly suggested.

“So, are you proposing to me right now?”

“I am, why? Don’t you want to marry me?”

“Are you kidding me? I have to feed you AND buy you a diamond? Where’s your sense of shame?”

“I don’t care, I won’t marry you if you don’t buy me a diamond.” Qiao Fei shook his head with resolution.

“Pshh, a diamond, let me tell you, I can even bury you with the number of diamonds I have in my Swiss bank’s vault…”

“That’s a good idea. I can consider accepting your proposal if you give me all the diamonds you have.”

“Bye.” Lu Yan stood up with a huff and turned around to leave… Qiao Fei smiled lovingly as he watched her march off.

Soon, it had been two days since Qiao Fei and Lu Yan arrived in Indonesia. Aside from touring the country, Lu Yan couldn’t help herself from looking around the black markets. Qiao Fei, on the other hand, stayed close beside her the entire time. The two of them were always together, but nothing happened this entire time – this made them more cautious than ever since Ian might try to kill them at any given second.

That evening, Lu Yan and Qiao Fei had just come back from the black market, and Lu Yan told him she wanted Russian- style beef for dinner. When he came back from grocery shopping, however, four big, tall men blocked his way, forcing him to back away into an alley.

“Young Master.”

“Why are you here?”

“Young Master, please come home with us. The old master’s temper has been awful since you left, and your brother keeps interfering… The situation is not looking good for you.”

“I’ve left home, I’m not a part of that family another. Therefore, I don’t care about what Qiao Nan does, and I will not go back to stop him.”
