“Really?” Lu Yan had a guilty conscience and didn’t dare to look at Huo Mian so she looked down.

Qiao Fei and Qin Chu looked at each other again, confirming their guess from before with each other.

“I’m a doctor. I’m very sensitive to these things…” Huo Mian was certain she was right.

“Fine. If that’s the case, I’ll tell you the truth, Sis.”

Huo Mian turned around to look at Lu Yan. Huo Mian looked worried as she was very concerned about Lu Yan’s safety.

“I’m actually using a special perfume that smells like blood. Isn’t it very unique?” Lu Yan joked.

“Perfume?” Huo Mian asked skeptically.

“Yeah, perfume. It’s still in the testing phase but when I finish perfecting it, I’ll give you a bottle.”

“No thank you. I don’t like that strange smell.” Huo Mian shook her head.

Qiao Fei touched his nose. He almost couldn’t help laughing out loud after hearing Lu Yan’s words. She had just killed people but said the blood smell was a perfume with complete confidence. However, Huo Mian was innocent enough to believe Lu Yan’s lie.

“Let’s eat. Sis, you should eat more.”

Lu Yan didn’t want to continue this conversation so she changed the subject. Luckily for her, Huo Mian didn’t keep asking. The two sisters had lived a vastly different life and Lu Yan knew this very well.

After dinner, Huo Mian was tired. After all, she was three-month pregnant so she easily got tired.

Even though Lu Yan wanted to spend more time with her sister, she couldn’t bear to see her so tired.

“Sis, I got you a suite. You guys should get some rest. We’re just around the corner. I booked the whole floor so don’t worry and get some rest.”

“Thanks.” Huo Mian nodded.

They returned to their individual rooms after dinner.

When Qiao Fei and Lu Yan were walking towards their room, he asked, “Why didn’t you just get your subordinates to get rid of those weaklings but went yourself?”

“Do you think I wanted to? I was afraid that those idiots would fight too loud and scare my sister. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have had to walk down a few floors and kill them.”

“So? How many minutes did you take to finish them?” Qiao Fei raised a brow.

“Probably less than three minutes.”

“One in three minutes? You’re regressing, my dear,” Qiao Fei said with a slight surprise.

Lu Yan didn’t say anything. Instead, she signaled six with her hand. Then she opened the door and went into the bathroom to take a shower.

Qiao Fei shrugged his shoulders. Lu Yan wasn’t fun to play with…

One against six in less than three minutes was incredible. Also, the six were professional killers with guns. Lu Yan was afraid that the gun sounds would scare Huo Mian so she didn’t even give the killers the opportunity to fire.

One of her subordinates knocked on their door soon after Lu Yan finished her shower.

Qiao Fei was playing on his phone. He didn’t interfere with Lu Yan’s business and Lu Yan didn’t take any precautions against him. She would let him listen in on all her conversations.

“Boss.”

“Did that person wake up yet?”

“Yeah, but he won’t say anything.”

“Won’t say anything?”

“Yeah, we’re taking turns beating him up. He fainted a few times and his organs are internally bleeding but he still won’t confess who sent them…”

“Such dignity…” Lu Yan smiled.

“From what I can tell, they’re Ian’s people for sure. We should just kill him.”

“No. I have a feeling they’re not Ian’s people.”

Lu Yan had fought against Ian for many years and understood how he operated. Sending 6 assassins and going straight for the top floor, it didn’t seem like Ian’s style. Most importantly, Lu Yan couldn’t tell if these killers were after her or Huo Mian.
