“No. I want to give them a surprise.” Huo Mian chuckled.

“You’re a big girl now, but you still like to play like a child.” Qin Chu gently pinched her cheek lovingly.

“We must create surprises whenever we can,” Huo Mian said cheekily.

Since they brought Huo Siqian with them, Qin Chu used his private plane so he could do things with convenience.

Most of the time, Qin Chu and Huo Mian stayed in the inner cabin where there was a big soft double bed.

When Qin Chu handled business, he stayed close with Huo Mian so that she would feel safe.

Since she had reunited with Qin Chu, Huo Mian had slept soundly.

Soon after she got aboard, she fell asleep and woke up at midnight.

Groggily, she saw Qin Chu was still working on his laptop.

“You’re awake?” Qin Chu looked back.

“I’m thirsty.”

“Wait for a second; I’ll get you a glass of warm water.”

“Can you give me a glass of iced Coke? I don’t want warm water,” Huo Mian suggested wistfully.

“Please, Mrs. Qin, you’re pregnant. If you don’t care about yourself, think about the baby, okay?”

“The baby wants the iced Coke.” Huo Mian used the baby as her excuse.

Qin Chu laughed in exasperation.

“Honey, please… Iced Coke; only one glass,” Huo Mian begged.

Ultimately, Qin Chu gave in to her little antics.

Despite his concern for her stomach, he still poured her a glass of Coke and put a few ice cubes in it.

“When will we be home?”

“About ten in the morning.”

“Yeah. I can’t wait to be home.” Huo Mian sipped at the Coke and smiled.

At this moment, a knock came at the door.

“Come in.”

“What is it?” Qin Chu looked up.

Huo Mian put down the Coke and listened attentively.

“Huo Siqian’s wounds recovered a bit, but he hasn’t taken any food or water in the past few days.”

“He wants to play a hunger strike with me?” Qin Chu frowned as he hadn’t thought of this possibility before.

No one could understand what was on Huo Siqian’s mind. He was a weird guy.

“He has a message for you…” The man stopped.

“What is it?”

“He said he wants to see Mrs. Qin, or he’ll refuse to eat or drink until death.”

“The bastard… He dares to threaten me?” Qin Chu slammed his hand on the table, looking furious.

“He wants to see me?” Huo Man was surprised.

“Yeah. He said he wants to see you alone.”

“Tell him it’s impossible. If he doesn’t eat or drink, just inject glucose into him; he can live like a vegetative person.”

He had reached the end of his patience with the evil guy who had taken his wife away for days.
