“My idea was awful? You’re just looking a gift horse in the mouth.” Lu Yan crossed her arms and rolled her eyes at Tang Chuan.

“I don’t want to talk about it, I might cry from embarrassment… Mian, seriously, can you help me out? I want to surprise Ning so much that she’ll remember it for the rest of her life… you have to help me,” Tang Chuan begged Huo Mian ruthlessly.

“I don’t have much experience in this area… I’ve never been proposed to,” Huo Mian laughed.

“How did Chu propose to you?”

“We never had a wedding.” Huo Mian shrugged helplessly.

“But you guys registered, right?”

“It’s complicated… but he never proposed, so how am I supposed to help you? I really don’t have any ideas in the bag right now.”

“What should I do then, I’ve already promised a miracle proposal.”

“How can you harass my sister this early in the morning? She’s a pregnant lady, what do you think you’re doing?” Lu Yan blocked Tang Chuan from approaching Huo Mian.

“Gosh, fine, let me give you another idea.” Wanting to stop Tang Chuan from harassing Huo Mian, Lu Yan decided to give him one more idea.

“Please, can you not tell me to pretend I’m dead again?” Tang Chuan’s head hurt upon remembering Lu Yan’s idea from last night.

“Don’t worry, I promise I won’t.” Lu Yan gestured for Tang Chuan to come over to her.

“Really?”

“Really. But I have one condition: you can’t harass my sister anymore, she has to go to work.”

“I swear!” Tang Chuan exclaimed, ecstatic that someone was willing to help.

“Sis, go eat breakfast, I’ll talk to this guy.”

“Okay, have fun!”

Tang Chuan and Lu Yan stayed upstairs while Huo Mian joined the kids for breakfast.

“Mommy, where’s Daddy? Is he still asleep?” Little Bean wondered since Qin Chu hadn’t come downstairs yet.

“He left before dawn, he had to go and take care of something at the company.”

“Wow, Daddy’s working so hard recently… Vice Director Huo, you should take better care of your husband. Buy him a lot of food to eat, okay?” Little Bean reminded Huo Mian in all seriousness.

“Go back to eating your breakfast, alright?” Huo Mian laughed.

“Please help!” Tang Chuan was sure that Lu Yan had great ideas up her sleeve, and was willing to do anything to create a perfect proposal for Qin Ning.
