Han Yueyao broke the silence.

Hearing the barbs in her words, Zeng Rou tried to brush it off.

“Of course, I was also kidding. I hope you don’t take it to heart, Miss Zeng.” Han Yueyao smiled.

Then she held Su Yu’s arm and said, “Su Yu, let’s go and find something to eat. I’m a bit hungry.”

“No problem.” Zeng Rou smiled and didn’t try to mock him again.

After they were gone, Zeng Rou walked closer to Huo Mian with a smile.

“Mian, you look good in this dress. It suits you.”

“Thank you; I like your dress, too.”

“I’m happy that I can attend your birthday party. Don’t worry, I won’t make things difficult for you. I’ll keep my promise.”

“Okay. I believe you.”

Huo Mian was worried that Zeng Rou would get riled up and make trouble for Su Yu. With a few reporters from the media in the party, the incident might go public.

After chatting with Huo Mian for a little while, Zeng Rou went to the big hall to sip champagne and watch the night view on the ocean.

Mrs. Su had come by herself since Grandpa Su and Mr. Su were on business trips all year round.

“Grandma Su, who’s the auntie beside Handsome Su? Is she his girlfriend?” Little Bean gossiped in a low voice.

Mrs. Su looked up and found her son; seeing the girl by his side, she was exhilarated.

“Yeah. She’s your Uncle Su’s new girlfriend. Isn’t she pretty?”

“Yeah. Very pretty. She’s a piece of eye candy.” Little Bean chuckled.

Mrs. Su hugged Pudding. “Little Pudding, did you miss me?”

“I did.”

“When your great-grandfather and grandfather come back in a few days, will you two come and stay with us for a couple of days?”

“Okay.” Pudding nodded obediently.

Huo Mian walked up to her. “Auntie, you didn’t have to come. You know it’s a party for young people, not a formal banquet. It’s too noisy for you.”

“Your birthday is once a year; I must come.”

With a smile, Mrs. Su glanced in the direction of her son and asked, “It seems Yu and Yao are getting along quite well, right?”
