Wei Ying was furious. She wasn’t stupid and knew Huo Mian never made up stories; she’d never accuse the Ye Family in public without solid evidence.

Wei Ying had considered the issue carefully. After all, few people would help Huo Yanyan without a purpose. In the city, there were only a few big families with the surname of Ye. The senior members had mostly retired and none of them were rumored to have anything to do with Huo Yanyan.

But she had heard someone mention that Ye Zhaoyang was seen with a young woman; although she didn’t know if that woman was Huo Yanyan or not, Ye Zhaoyang had the motive to get Huo Yanyan out. After all, everyone knew Huo Yanyan would mess with Shen Mingxi when she got out.

As a rival for Wei Ying’s affection, Ye Zhaoyang had wanted to deal with Shen Mingxi long ago; in fact, he had done so in business deals.

“Ying, even if I’m not your boyfriend, we’re friends. How can you make me make such an oath?”

After Ye Zhaoyang was gone, Wei Ying glanced at Shen Mingxi with a cool face.

“Your company is struggling. Why didn’t you tell me?”

“It’s business for men.”
