Huo Mian looked at her father and Lu Yan. She realized how much trouble they had to go through to celebrate her birthday with her.

“Then when you got on the boat, you disguised yourselves as captain and deck staff?” Huo Mian seemed to understand what was going on.

“Yes.” Lu Yan quickly nodded.

Huo Mian turned over to Qin Chu and asked, “Did Yan tell you that Zeng Rou was tapping into our conversations?” She tried to figure out the big picture.

“Yes.” Qin Chu didn’t expect Zeng Rou to bug Huo Mian at first.

What was more was that Zeng Rou’s equipment was very high technology, the type the army used. That was why even Qin Chu was not prepared for it.

Lu Yan first surveyed the ship for bugs when she got on. When she found out, she immediately notified Qin Chu to get rid of the bug on Huo Mian.

Just then, Huo Mian recalled something. She asked Lu Yan, “Yan, why did you come alone? Where’s Qiao Fei?”

“To where?” Huo Mian asked with surprise.

“Las Vegas…” Lu Yan said, feeling slightly guilty.
