“Really quick… Give me one more minute…” Huo Mian used a spoon to take out steaming hot dumplings.

One minute later, white dumplings were ready.

Since there was only limited time, the dumplings only had meat fillings.

The Professor sat in the center. Next to him sat Qin Chu, Huo Mian, Lu Yan, and the twins. There were four adults and two children and they sat around a table. Inside a ship cockpit, they had their first family dinner.

“Should we take a selfie?” Lu Yan asked greedily.

“Don’t push it…” the Professor said while slightly rolling his eyes.

Since his father had rejected the idea, Lu Yan didn’t dare to keep talking about this anymore.

Huo Mian made several plates of dumplings.

Then, she looked at her father with slight regret and said, “Sorry Dad. Since you came without notice, I didn’t have time to prepare other dishes. There’s only dumplings.”

“It’s okay. This is enough.”

“Should I go get some other dishes from the restaurant?” Qin Chu was about to get up but Lu Yan reminded him, “Don’t. The surveillance cameras are back to normal. If you go out now, someone will know.”

Qin Chu immediately understood what she meant. He nodded and sat back down.

“Auntie, what do you mean? Who’s monitoring us?”

Little Bean loved gossip and she didn’t completely understand the conversation between her father and her auntie.

“Bad guys. Bad guys are following Daddy and they want to capture us.”

“Oh, that’s fine. Auntie is a great fighter and will protect us…”

“You kiss ass. I’ll give you 12 points for that,” Huo Mian said joyfully.

“Auntie, hurry up and eat. Don’t bother with Little Bean. She’s annoying,” Pudding said as she caringly put a dumpling in Lu Yan’s bowl.

“Thank you, Pudding.” Lu Yan patted Pudding’s head with tender love.

“Dad, eat…” Huo Mian felt warmth everytime she called her dad.

The Professor was also overwhelmed with emotions…

To an ordinary family, this was only a simple dumpling dinner. Getting together was normally nothing big, but to this family, this was something incredibly rare.

Huo Mian and the Professor knew that after this meal, they wouldn’t know when they would see each other again.
