“Already?” Huo Mian was not ready to say goodbye.

Huo Mian smiled but tears slid down her cheeks. She stepped up and gave Lu Yan a big hug.

Although Huo Mian wanted to hug her father too, she saw how serious he looked standing there. She didn’t have the courage to hug him.

“Sis, stay safe. Listen to Chu. You might not know how much trouble me and Chu handled for you today on this ship. You should know you’re in grave danger.”

“I understand.” Huo Mian nodded obediently.

“Let’s go.”

The Professor seemed to have wanted to caution Huo Mian about something but when he remembered how cautious Huo Mian was, he didn’t say any further. He turned around and left through their secret passage.

“Dad, stay healthy…” Huo Mian couldn’t help but call out as she watched her dad’s aging shadow disappearing.

The Professor acknowledged her but did not turn back.

He jumped into the sea through the secret passage with Lu Yan. Lu Yan’s men were waiting in the submarine.

Huo Mian knew that such a separation was hard for all of them.

However, as long as their enemies were alive, they would not be able to reunite.

Before Huo Mian had time for sadness after the Professor’s departure, she had to feed the medicine the Professor made to Nie Lingxuan. As expected, she woke up within 20 minutes after ingesting the pink medicine.
