He felt ashamed that his daughter wanted to go back to her ex; the elderly gentleman was very traditional in his thoughts.

Jiang Xiaowei wanted to speak for her sister-in-law, but seeing her father-in-law’s fury, she didn’t dare to add fuel to the fire; besides, her husband agreed with his father’s measures.

“Xiaowei, you guys go home; you don’t have to stay here.” The senior gentleman waved his hand and drove out Wei Liao and Jiang Xiaowei.

“Grandpa, I don’t have school tomorrow. I want to stay.”

Before she left, Jiang Xiaowei pulled her son to one side and asked, “Kiddo, what are you up to?”

“Nothing.”

“Mom, I want to help my auntie. She’s very good to me.”

“She was sent home by Grandpa.”

“Auntie, don’t worry. I’ll help you escape.”

“Pudding and I came up with an idea. After my grandpa goes to bed, I’ll help you out. I saw Grandpa lock your cellphone in the cabinet in his study, so I can’t get it. But Pudding got a new cellphone for you. When you get out of the house, someone will give it to you at the door.”

“Anyway, you can trust me. If you stay, Grandpa might lock you here for days. He’s truly furious today.”

“But if I escape, your grandpa will be angrier.”

“Get prepared. Pack some clothes, etc.”
