Su Yu looked uncomfortable at the words.

He coughed lightly and ignored An’s words. He continued, “Good. You can eat whatever you want at Ocean Empire.”

“Boss, you’re so generous. But… I feel bad; I didn’t get first place.”

Han Yueyao was sincere. Su Yu had spent lots of energy to face the objections and shoulder the gossip about their relationship to get her into the dance show, but she didn’t get the result she had hoped for.

“I’ll talk about it with you during dinner. Don’t blame yourself.”

As they talked, the car stopped slowly at the gate of Ocean Empire.

Han Yueyao thought Su Yu would eat with her alone, or with An as their companion.

But to her surprise, she saw the compartment had about 20 people in it, including her agent and assistant.

“Hello, everyone.” Han Yueyao was a little embarrassed.

Obviously, she over thought it. Su Yu invited all the staff working for the dance show to the dinner.

Su Yu entered the room and took off his coat. An took it and hung it on the hanger behind them.

Su Yu sat down, took the menu from a waitress, and glanced at it.

Then he tossed it to one side. “Tonight, each of you can choose one of your favorite dishes.”

“Wow. You’re so generous, boss.” An employee clapped her hands in excitement.

“I’ve always been generous. Go ahead with your orders. I need to go to the washroom.”

After Su Yu left the room, Han Yueyao walked to sit next to her agent.

But her agent scolded her, “Yao, are you dumb? Why sit next to me? You should sit next to President Su.”

Before Han Yueyao could reply, An pulled a chair over next to Su Yu’s and looked at Han Yueyao, saying, “Miss Han, sit here.”

“Yeah. Yao, you should sit next to the boss. You’re the hero today. I know you got second place, but we did our best.”

At their urging, Han Yueyao bit on her lip and took the seat next to Su Yu’s bashfully.

Everyone knew their boss was single and they liked Han Yueyao’s personality, so they all wanted to see them together. After all, even An, the boss’s long-time bodyguard, was trying to bring them together.

Su Yu went to the washroom because he wanted to make a phone call.

He took out his cellphone and after five seconds of hesitation, dialed Qin Chu’s number.

“Su Yu.”

“Qin Chu, how’s Mian doing?”

“She’s fine.”

“You must spend more time with her. I asked someone to buy some Changbai Mountain wild-grown ginseng. I’ll bring it to you in a couple of days when it arrives.”

“Okay.” Qin Chu accepted the gift without a fuss. His relationship with Su Yu hadn’t made a turn for the worse due to the loss of the baby; instead, they felt closer.

“Qin Chu, about the baby…”

“We’ll have more babies, but you’re irreplaceable as our benefactor and friend,” Qin Chu interrupted Su Yu.

To be honest, Qin Chu was cool in nature and reserved his soft side only to Huo Mian.

So, Su Yu was touched to hear these words from Qin Chu on the phone.

“Then I won’t say it. After the thing settles down, I’ll have a drink with you.”

“Okay.”

Hanging up, Su Yu felt heavy in heart. He didn’t dare to see Huo Mian; he was truly afraid to see her.

Returning to the compartment, he sat down next to Han Yueyao and saw they had placed their orders.

“Boss, we heard you went to do a mysterious mission a couple of days ago. Where did you go? We missed you.”

An oblivious employee tried to find a topic to say to Su Yu, so she asked about his absence.
