As Huo Mian made to leave, Su Yu stood up immediately and stopped her.

“Please don’t. How can anyone dare to offend our Dr. Huo…?”

“Sister Mian, are you feeling better now?” Han Yueyao went to his rescue and changed the subject.

“Yeah, I feel excellent. Didn’t you see that I’m enjoying myself lately?” Huo Mian laughed.

“Good…” Han Yueyao nodded.

Seeing Han Yueyao had no intention of leaving them, Huo Mian said to Su Yu, “Yu, didn’t you say you’d have lunch with me? Shall we go now? I didn’t have much breakfast at home.”

Surprised, he glanced at his watch. “But it’s only ten in the morning. Isn’t it too early for lunch?”

“You can go shopping with me before lunch…”

Su Yu glanced at Han Yueyao, asking, “Do you mind joining us for lunch?”

In fact, Su Yu’s plan was simple; he wanted Han Yueyao to have lunch with them to prevent gossip.

It wasn’t right for him to be seen with Huo Mian alone so often. He knew he did nothing wrong, but gossipers wouldn’t think so.

“I…” Han Yueyao was still hesitating when Huo Mian said to Su Yu, “Don’t make things difficult for Yao. She’s a hardworking girl. With so much work waiting for her, how can she have lunch with us? Do you think everyone is an eating machine like you?”

“Hehe. Yeah. You guys go ahead and have lunch. I’ve got to return to my work. President Su, I’ll talk to you about the show later.”

Hearing the obvious dismissal in Huo Mian’s words, Han Yueyao immediately took her leave.

“Okay.”

Nodding, Su Yu had no choice but to let Han Yueyao go.

Then he took Huo Mian to lunch.

If it was in the past, he’d take Huo Mian to go shopping and buy some gifts for her.

But with the relationship between Qin Chu and Huo Mian so tense, he didn’t want to add fuel to fire.

With this thought in mind, Su Yu took Huo Mian to a well-known sushi restaurant.

They ate exquisitely made Japanese dishes in a small compartment.

But to Su Yu’s surprise, Huo Mian didn’t act with a low profile. She took pictures and posted them on her Moments purposefully.

She posted three photos. The first one was a selfie taken from a complimenting angle.

The picture taken with the photo editing app was very pretty, but the woman in it almost didn’t look like Huo Mian.

The second photo showed the food spread all over the table, including a sashimi platter, raw beef, California rolls, tuna sushi, shrimp tempura, etc…

The third photo was the most important one.

She took a picture of Su Yu while he was eating; his head was lowered but everyone could see he was Su Yu.

After all, his profile was very handsome; wearing a white long-sleeved shirt, his hair looked coffee-colored under the light.

The angle was perfect.

The funny part was that his figure was overlapped with a pendant lamp behind him.

In the photo, it looked like the line hanging the lamp was part of Su Yu’s head.

Above the pictures, Huo Mian added the words, “It’s a fine day. Teletubby invites me to have sushi. Big applause for his perfect performance.”

Soon, comments flooded in under the post.

Zhu Lingling: “F*ck. Shameless little bitch, you didn’t invite me.”

Jiang Xiaowei: “Dr. Huo, how does it feel to eat a meal without us?”

Tang Chuan: “Fuck, something is going on between you two.”

Wei Liao: “Awesome.”

Han Yueyao gave a like without commenting.

Little Bean: “Mommy, why didn’t you bring my sister and me to have lunch with Captain Su?”

Feeling weird, Pudding didn’t give a like or comment.

Most importantly, Qin Chu glanced at the post coldly and put down his cellphone.

He wasn’t angry or jealous because the woman wasn’t Mian.

Qin Ning: “Sister-in-law, you’re having a meal alone with Mr. Su so blatantly. Does my brother know about it?”
