Qin Chu and Rick waited at the door. About 15 minutes later, Xixi was pushed out of the OR.

Rick walked over immediately and bent to kiss her forehead.

“Xixi, thank you. Our daughter is very pretty. We’re a family of three now.”

“Why are you crying? Are you in pain?” Rick was alarmed.

The surgeon explained, “Don’t worry. Many new mothers are emotional and cry when the babies are born… Congratulations. The baby is healthy, and the operation is successful. Take good care of your wife.”

“Thank you, doctor.”

Then Rick pushed Xixi back to the ward with Qin Chu.

Qin Chu got a phone call and left them.

Rick sat by the bed and carefully cleaned Xixi’s face and hands with a warm towel.
