"Pi."
"Pi? Heh? I didn't squeeze that hard." Rumi said looking at Wonwoo's chest.
"No. Pi." Wonwoo said showing his fingers which were covered in blood. For sure there was blood on his fingers. Rumi worriedly grabbed his hands and started checking out for wounds.
"Where does it hurt? Show it to me!" She asked turning him around in circles to look for any wounds.
"I-I think it's not mine." Wonwoo said making her look up at him. "Not yours?" Wonwoo nodded his head and moved his eyes to Rumi's waist. Rumi followed his eyes.
"Ani, I just had my period a week ago." She replied turning around, showing her butt to Wonwoo, poor guy snapped his head away so fast one would get whiplash. "Is there anything on my pants?" Rumi asked trying to check her pants but failed to do so. "Can you see anything?"
"Uh..." Wonwoo trailed off hesitantly glancing at her butt. "No. There's nothing on your pan-wait a second." He walked towards her noticing a wet patch on shirt. "It's on the shirt." Wonwoo said touching the wet patch.
"Shirt...Ah!" She suddenly exclaimed holding up the shirt revealing a blood soaked bandaged on left side of her waist. Wonwoo worried snapped his eyes at her. Why was she wounded like that? "Ah sibal! Your shirt!" She muttered as she hurried walked off somewhere while unbuttoning the shirt.
"Mwo? Eo? What? But-" Wonwoo looked around questioning himself, what he should do? "Should I call an ambulance?" He asked himself looking at his phone in his hand. "Ani, she is still up and moving. Urghhh!" Wonwoo groaned pulling his hair. "Hospital! Yes, let's take her to hospital!" He nodded to himself. "Rumi-sii! Rumi-sii!" He called out her name while walking the way Rumi had walked off moments ago. Following the path, he reached the bathroom where Rumi stood in front of the mirror again shirtless, trying to aid her wound.
"Uh-Rumi-sii." Wonwoo called trying to not look at her shirtless figure.
"Ah Wonwoo-sii, you are here. Help me take of this bandage please." Rumi asked looking at him through the mirror. "I can't reach my back." She said trying to turn and remove it herself.
"Don't!" Wonwoo scolded running to her side. "Don't exert any more pressure on the wound." He warned grabbing her hands and placing them on counter.
"Aarso." Rumi whispered as Wonwoo was too close for her to speak in normal voice. Their eyes met. What is this? Rumi thought and averted her eyes. Wonwoo cleared his throat.
"Umm...your wound looks serious, let's just go to hospital." Wonwoo looking the blood-soaked bandage.
"Aniyo. It's fine." Rumi quickly denied. "There are no stitches, just a scratch." Rumi informed. "I think Jangmi-sii scratched it little more." She continued again trying to look back at it but Wonwoo stopped her from doing so.
"Okay, let me remove the bandage." Wonwoo said with defeat. He hesitantly moved his hands to bandage, gauging Rumi's reaction he pulled off the bandage. Placing the soiled bandage, he looked for something in the opened first aid box.
"Here." Rumi said handing him a gauze pad. Wonwoo nodded taking it from her hands and started cleaning the wound. As she had said, the wound wasn't deep and it had stopped bleeding. Still thinking about it, she was working with this is really...
"Does it not hurt?" Wonwoo asked as he finished cleaning and applying antiseptic on it.
"I don't know, my body's gone numb from the soju I had earlier." Rumi chuckled shaking her head. Wonwoo gave her an eye. "Mianhae."
"Don't you know, one shouldn't drink when injured? How can you be so careless?" Wonwoo scolded as picked up a new bandage. "What if your wound gets infected?" Rumi chuckled at that.
"Ha, alcohol is the best medicine. And this small scratch can't be called wound." She laughed. "I have had many wounds before; do you know how a wound from bullet looks like? I have one on my thigh-" Rumi stopped removing her pants when she noticed the look on Wonwoo's face. "Hahaha. I am to drunk right now. I'll show you some other day." She laughed averting her eyes.
Wonwoo stared at her before blinking his eyes few times, wondering if she was drunk bullshitting or she was telling the truth, either way it was unbelievable. Shaking off his thought Wonwoo quietly bandaged her wound and took a step back checking out his work. "I think it's fine for now. But you should really visit a doctor." Wonwoo said. Rumi nodded and turned around to thank him.
"Jinja, gomapseumnida." Rumi tried to bow but he stopped grabbing her arms. "I have troubled you a lot today. From the restaurant to driving me home to tending to my injuries. Really, thank you so much and sorry." Rumi said simultaneously thanking and apologizing to him.
"Aniyo. It's okay. And I somewhat played a part to it. If I hadn't grabbed her like that then she wouldn't have scratched you or tore your shirt like that." Wonwoo said glancing at her half covered chest. "You should apply something to those too." He said pointing towards red marks on her neck and chest. Rumi looked down and noticed the red blotches that Jangmi had left behind.
"Ah, I should. I don't why she kept biting my neck. People really have weird fetish." Rumi muttered to herself while picking up some tube from the first aid box. "That's not the right one." Wonwoo said noticing she had picked up the same one he had used on her wound. "Don't use that. Use-" He leaned towards her trying to look over at the products meanwhile trapping her between him and counter. "A cooling gel, maybe Vaseline." He muttered to himself as he scanned the product.
"Wah! What a nerve you have to bring a man back home?" A voice said making both of them snap their head towards it.
"Really? Don't you have any shame, to be like this in my bathroom-" The man suddenly stopped when his eyes met Wonwoo. "What? How-"
"Oppa, shouldn't at least knock?" Rumi cut him as she pushed Wonwoo away creating a distance between them. Realizing the position, he quickly stepped away. Rumi half naked, pressed against the counter, her neck painted with red blotches. Anyone could misunderstand this situation easily.
"Knock?" The man laughed crossing his arms. "You want me to knock when you were openly doing what not in my bathroom?!"Â Wonwoo stared at them wide-eyed. What is happening? Who is he? Her boyfriend? She called him oppa? Her husband maybe? Oh no! He has misunderstood the situation. Wonwoo opened his mouth to clear the situation but the man beat him to it.
"You're shameless Rukmani Raikar!" Wonwoo's eyes went wide at his loud voice. He worriedly glanced at Rumi, who had pinched her bridge of nose, looking annoyed? Shouldn't she explain? Wonwoo thought as he moved in between both Rumi and the man.
"Umm, excuse me. But there is some misunderstanding here. It's not what it looks like." Wonwoo explained when Rumi grabbed his hand.
"Wonwoo-sii, can you please leave us alone for a minute please." She calmly said looking up at him. "But-" "Don't worry. It's okay." She patted his arm before turning to glare at the man in front of them. "Kim Youngjae." Wonwoo felt a shiver going down his spine at her tone. Clamming his mouth shut, he quickly rushed out of the bathroom leaving the couple alone to themselves.
"What is happening?" Wonwoo asked himself as he picked up the phone that he had left behind. "Should I leave? Ani, ani. Then he'll definitely misunderstand. Urgghh!" Wonwoo groaned glancing at the direction of the bathroom. "Will she'll be okay? The man looked pissed? Was he her husband?" Wonwoo had started talking to himself. "Uhh...what should I do? Damn it! I'll just talk to him, it's not right to let her explain-" Wonwoo was about to walk back there when the man walked out.
"Uh, jogiyo-"
"I apologize for misunderstanding the situation." The man suddenly apologized bowing in ninety degrees. "De?" Wonwoo stared at him confused, shocked. Wasn't this man fuming in anger earlier? Why is he suddenly being so polite? "Please have a seat." The man guided him to sofa. "It's quite cold right? What would you prefer? Hot tea or coffee?" The man asked politely smiling at him.
"Tea?" Wonwoo answered not knowing what to make out of this situation. The man nodded and made his way to kitchen, Wonwoo stared him in question. How did this happen? He glanced at the direction of bathroom. Was Rumi-sii of that kind? She definitely knows how to control her husband. Wonwoo nodded relaxing in his seat. But is he really her husband? I don't see any wedding photos around. He thought scanning the drawing room, he didn't get the chance earlier. There were few photos, which looked of the man's family, only one of them had Rumi-sii in it. She had a small smile on her face as the man had his arms wrapped around her shoulder. A boyfriend maybe. Wonwoo thought coming to a decision. When something caught his eye.
"Lineage!" He exclaimed walking towards the row of CDs displayed under the large TV. "Wah! What a collection." He said in admiration as he scanned the CDs one by one. "Huh? What is this?"
"Wonwoo-sii your tea." Wonwoo placed the CD back and went back to his seat. "It's quite hot so be careful." The man said placing the cup on the table. Wonwoo smiled at him politely. "I really sorry about what happened earlier."
Wonwoo shook his head. "Aniyo, anybody could've misunderstood the situation. Don't worry about it."
"De. Ah right. I forgot to introduce myself. I am Kim Youngjae." Youngjae said offering his hand. Wonwoo smiled and shook his hand.
"Jeon Wonwoo."
"De, I know. I mean who wouldn't." Youngjae laughed. Wonwoo nodded letting out a forced chuckle. Both of the men sat in silence after that. "Umm, do you play?" Wonwoo asked nodding his head towards the CDs.
"Ah! I do! I do!" Youngjae excitedly replied. "I've heard you also play. Wanna play together sometime?" Youngjae asked his excitement getting best out of it.
"Oppa, stop troubling Wonwoo-sii." Rumi finally come out carrying a t-shirt and shirt in her hand. "Um, change of clothes for you, since I soiled yours." She said holding them to Wonwoo.
"There is-"
"Ah, don't worry, there are brand new. I haven't worn them once." She explained pushing them in Wonwoo's face while looking away. Rumi was finally feeling sober as her embarrassment was getting to her.
"Brand new? Is that the shirt you bought but was too big for you? You are giving it him? You wouldn't even let me touch it!" Youngjae cried from behind.
"Shut it." Rumi turned to glare. "What you have to cry about? Don't you always steal my clothes? Thank god you don't steal my underw-"
"HaHaHa! Sweetie, now don't be like that. We have guest here." Youngjae laughed glancing at Wonwoo. "Wonwoo-sii, why don't you change, you've gotten blood over your t-shirt."
"Ah de. Excuse me." Wonwoo nodded and awkwardly left for bathroom.
"Seriously? You should get your act together." Rumi said as settled down beside Youngjae.
"Mwo? What do you expect me to think when you were standing half-naked trapped between the man's arms like that? And not to mention, what are these?" Youngjae asked pulling her t-shirt's collar aside to reveal the love marks. Rumi huffed and slapped his hand away.
"What do they look like to you? Do people confess their love this way these days?" Rumi asked slowly leaning back in sofa, alcohol's numbness was losing its effect. "God damn it, it hurts." She sighed in pain.
"What?!" Youngjae exclaimed and then covered his mouth. "Did he confess it like that?" He whispered.
"What?! No!" Rumi denied. "He saved me, you dumbass. Helped me and treated my wound, which I got because of you." Rumi accused poking her finger in his chest.
"Rumi-ya...I already apologized." Youngjae said grabbing her hand in his both. "And how was I supposed to know those losers were to bring knife to fist fight." He pouted. Rumi scoffed snatching her hand back. All while this Wonwoo had returned, hearing the conversation of this odd couple. "Mianhae. Does it hurt badly? Let me see. I told you stay home."
"Stay home? Who's gonna earn money then?" Rumi asked. "Me, obviously." Youngjae smiled making Rumi snort.
"You spend all your money on games and al-ah Wonwoo-sii? Are clothes to your liking?" Rumi asked trying to stand up.
"Oh, please don't. You should rest." Wonwoo said stopping her from standing. "And yes, they are fine. Fit perfectly." He smiled glancing at Youngjae who was smiling back. "Then I'll take your leave."
"Stay for a while, Wonwoo-sii." Youngjae cut off Rumi. "You still haven't had your tea." Wonwoo glanced at Rumi.
"Yes, please." Rumi said straightening up. "Look, your tea gone cold. Let me heat it up." Rumi said getting up heading to kitchen leaving Wonwoo no chance to deny. Wonwoo sighed and reluctantly made himself sit back on the sofa.
"Don't worry. She makes good tea. You should have chai of hers sometime." Youngjae said. Wonwoo nodded politely smiling back. "So...I heard you helped Rumi." Wonwoo nodded. "What exactly happened, I mean with her-" He said pointing towards his neck.
"Uh-well...It's something like this..." Wonwoo started explaining the whole scenario. From Rumi forgetting her phone to her being attacked by Jangmi.
"Wah!" Youngjae had lost his breathe from all the laughter. He had rolled down the sofa. "I-I can't believe this." He laughed wiping his tears. "Yah! You were harassed!" Youngjae laughed looking over at Rumi who had returned with Wonwoo's tea and another two cups.
"What?" Rumi asked as Wonwoo helped her with tray. "Thank you." She smiled. "I wasn't. I was trying to negotiate out of the situation but she was drunk and-"
"Negotiate? Pfft!" Youngjae laughed. "Jagiya these words don't suit your mouth. I mean Wonwoo-sii can you believe anyone like her negotiating? This woman, if you gave her a pen and paper instead of fighting with words, this woman would stuff the paper in her opponent's mouth and stab them with pen." He laughed earning a kick from Rumi. "What? I am speaking the truth."
"Shut it already and have the damn tea." She gritted through her teeth as she pulled him back on sofa. "Wonwoo-sii please pay no heed to his words." Youngjae snickered.
"De." Wonwoo nodded having hard time to hide his own smile.
