Chapter 138 The other males who had their fur brushed by Nyx for the first time were all in their beast forms. No matter what expressions they made, their emotions weren’t as clearly visible. But Seafarion had nowhere to hide.

It was the first time Nyx had seen a male display such an unguarded, bashful expression so vividly.

Paired with Seafarion’s ethereal face, it was like a high and mighty figure being pulled down from his pedestal.

Nyx couldn’t help but stare at him a little longer, watching as his face grew even redder under her gaze.

Seafarion looked like he was about to start steaming, yet his fishtail remained cold to the touch.

If this were a scorching summer, holding onto such a fishtail would surely be refreshing.

“Alright, don’t be nervous,” Nyx coaxed gently. She dipped the small brush into the maintenance solution and carefully applied it to the scales from bottom to top with patience.

His already stunning scales gradually became moist, shimmering even more brilliantly. It made Nyx wonder just how breathtaking they would look when fully submerged in water.

As Nyx continued her slow and gentle movements, Seafarion gradually adapted, his breathing stabilizing slightly.

Noticing his tense fishtail beginning to relax, Nyx grew bolder.

She lifted his tail fin and, to her surprise, found that the seemingly ethereal, gauzy–looking fin was actually quite firm.

As an SS–level male, Seafarion’s body technically had no apparent weaknesses. His body was built for combat, and even his seemingly fragile tail fin was, in reality, as tough as high–strength alloy.

Yet in Nyx’s hands, the tail fin drooped obediently, devoid of any aggression.

“You spend all your time either at the Supervision Office or cooped up at home. You should relax once in a while, don’t you think?” Alicia persistently coaxed her.

Nyx, unable to resist, finally agreed.

The gathering was organized by Alicia. Most of her friends shared her lively personality, and after a few rounds of games, Nyx quickly got familiar with them.

One of the females, Meli, pulled Nyx to the rooftop to stargaze, handing her a drink in the process.

Since it was an all–female gathering among friends, Nyx let her guard down and took a couple of sips. “What’s in this? asked casually.

But the moment she spoke, Meli’s expression changed abruptly.

Nyx instantly sensed something was wrong.

Her body tensed, and without hesitation, she pressed the emergency contact button on her Intelligent Brain.
