Archie looked up blankly, meeting the eyes of the three cubs.

During the ride, he had been so immersed in fear that he hadn’t been paying attention to the cubs reactions.

But now that he looked at them, they all looked calm, with rosy cheeks and steady breathing. Not only had they not cried, they didn’t seem to have any emotional distress at all.

The contrast was stark, and many people around them started whispering. They thought. This guy is even weaker than the kids.

Archie wiped the tears off his face, feeling like crying even more. His revenge plan had completely backfired.
