Proposal!
It had been almost a week since the hickey incident and I was still on non talking terms with Aaron, not that I wanted to, but I needed to in order to let him know how serious I was about my loyalty and honesty. His cute acts made me want to melt right away and there's no denying that I was getting more and more attracted to him each passing day, especially when he tried to apologise and make amends with me.
As promised, today would be the last day of the silent treatment and I can't wait to talk to him, I missed talking to him, but if I wouldn't stay strong now then there was no meaning of showing my disappointment. I was sitting on my chair in my cabin, finishing off the last bit of the paperwork and some filing. It would hardly take me about thirty minutes to complete everything and then I was done for the day.
Aaron had been trying to talk to me all week, trying to sneak in some kisses here and there, but I was adamant this time. He did not call me once in his office today and the intercom also buzzed just twice to thrice for important matters and work purposes, quite strange if you ask me, but meh.
"Ms. Collins?" I heard the voice of the most dazzling man I have met in my whole entire life who was my whole entire life as well.
"Sir?" I responded to which he rolled his eyes dramatically making me chuckle inwardly.
"Done for the day?" He asked leaning against the doorframe.
"Yes."
"Let's go then." I looked up at him with my eyebrows slightly raised. He never left this early, he always left an hour or two after everyone was gone
Surprising.
"Don't give me that look, we have to be somewhere at eight, so I need to leave early."
Understandable.
"Where do we have to be?" I asked as we walk side by side towards the elevator.
"A restaurant."
"Is there a meeting I was not informed about?" I asked while pressing the ground button.
"Something like that."
"Weird, but okay." The elevator tinged signalling that we had reached our destined floor. Getting out of the elevator, I saw a few people sneaking up on us, trying to act casual about it, but failing miserably. The fact that I had tied Aaron down was something some of the girls and even boys of our company couldn't comprehend, but I was starting to get hang of it. It bothered me a few weeks back, but I was trying to not let their stares bother me.
I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't realise when the engine of the car died down, I turned towards Aaron to bid him goodbye when I realised I wasn't at my apartment, but rather his.
"You know we have a meeting to attend, I need to get dressed." I said.
"You have clothes here."
True.
"My good professional ones." I argued to which he raised his left brow, "You have an entire closet filled with professional clothes, stop fucking lying."
I rolled my eyes at him and was about to argue some more when he shut me up by saying, "I have already bought a dress for you, so just tag along."
"Fine."
Sam was spending time with his grandparents today, so I was not worried about him and Matt on the other hand was spending more and more time with Alyssa to which I was really happy about. She made him happy and that made me the happiest person on planet earth. She was just the perfect match for her not to forget extremely kind hearted and such a sweet soul, a pure angel, unlike Matt who was a reincarnation of devil himself.
After about an hour, I was done getting ready. Aaron had bought me a silk material beige dress that touched the floor with a reasonable slit on the left leg. The best part was that it was full sleeved, something about full sleeves just makes me feel really comfortable and happy on this inside. It made me look super royal paired with a diamond necklace, earrings and some nude heels.
For the makeup, I kept it neutral and trendy, which wasâ no foundation, some concealer, a nude eyeshadow with a classic wing, light blush, nude brown lipstick with a go to gloss and girls' favourite: high volume mascara. For the hair, I tied a simple ponytail with a few strands hanging out, nothing too fancy and if we are talking opinions then I'd say I looked perfect.
And beautiful.
"You look absolutely stunning, my love." A blush creeped up on my cheeks and I muttered a small 'thank you'.
"You look handsome as always." I complimented him because why not? Plus men needs pampering every now and then as well.
"Ah, you just complimented me! Does that mean you are talking to me?" He asked, placing his hands on my waist and pulling me closer.
"Yes." I managed to utter before his lips met mine in an urgency, but as much as I wanted to kiss him back, I had to pull away.
"What now?" He groaned and pouted his lips like a baby, a sight for the sore eyes.
"My gloss." I pointed towards my lips.
"Are you fucking serious?! You don't talk to me or let me kiss you the entire week and now that I have got you, you don't kiss me because of a fucking gloss?" He growled out angrily making me chuckle at his behaviour.
"Priorities, my love. Priorities." With that said, I walked out of the house making him mutter profanities inside his breath which was enough to make me laugh.
Twenty minutes later, we were standing outside a fancy restaurant that I have never been toâ no surprise there. He held me by the waist as we started walking towards the restaurant amidst the crowd of the media journalists throwing mics and cameras before our faces, but thanks to Aaron and his bodyguards, we made it quick and sound inside the restaurant.
Apparently, the dinner was held at terrace, but as soon as we reached the top, what I saw made me want to do a retake. The terrace was decorated beautifully with red and pink roses everywhere and petals were thrown all over the floor. There were some dried up flowers as well making everything look super aesthetic, but that was not the surprising part. The surprising part was that there was no one here. No dealer, no investor, no friends, nothing, nada.
I gave him a confusing look to which he passed me a dazzling smile and took me to the centre of the floor while holding my hand. My mind was still in daze and my brain had already stopped functioning. I didn't know what to think. Was it a date? If yes then why did he lie to me about the dinner? Tonnes of questions were circulating in my mind, but the last thing on my mind was a freaking proposal.
"Sienna, my love, my darling, the mother to our son and a treasure to my life, it's no rocket science that I love you and I love you like nothing else in this huge ass world. You know I am a very selfish person and last week when I saw you with fake hickeys, I knew then and there that I would not have you share your love with anyone else. I want you and only you, you are a necessity in my life and I can't imagine my life without you. I might sound crazy, but I want to spend the rest of my life with you because the thought of not being with you makes me fucking crazy." I took a deep breath trying to process everything in as he rested his forehead against mine.
Is it for real?
Was he actually going to do what I think he was going to do?
Oh my God!
"Ms. Collins, you made me a sucker for you and now you are the only thing I want to taste till my last fucking breath. Let me make you the mother of more Sams, please make me the happiest man on earth by saying yes to my next question."
And then he did the classicâ he bend down on one knee, took out an expensive black box from the inside of his jacket and took out the most beautiful looking diamond ring I have ever seen.
"Marry me?"
Damn it! Why was I crying?
This was so embarrassing, but I couldn't stop the tears from rolling down my cheeks. This was so sweet, he was so sweet.
"Yes." I brought the hand forward and he slid the ring in my third finger and I still couldn't believe this was all happening, everything feels so surreal, like a dream, like I would wake up at any moment and the dream would pop away like a bubble, but it was not a dream, it was reality, the tears still rolling down my cheeks were the proof, his thumbs rubbing away my tears were the proof, his feather like kisses on my forehead and cheeks were the proof, he was the proof.
"You make me so happy. I love you." I sniffled and he pressed his lips against my crown.
"Permission to kiss you? I don't want you to not talk to me for another week for messing up your gloss." I let a small laugh and pecked his lips.
"Mess it up."
He didn't need to be told twice.
