Chapter 32
Fucking Perfect GxG (Jenlisa Adoption)
"You sure you don't want something to eat?"
"Hmm...what do you have?"
In response, Lisa started shuffling through her fridge and cabinets while Jennie sat in the living room. Lisa's house, though older, had an open design, so she was able to talk to the brunette from the kitchen.
Lisa was still trying to settle down from the little incident at the front door that just happened.
She was an uncomfortable mix of embarrassed and aroused, so she was having some trouble looking Jennie in the eye.
What had she been thinking? Jennie was obviously new to all this stuff, but here Lisa was, bringing it on strong and trying to fuck it all up. She was extremely relieved that Jennie hadn't rejected her - she was even more into it than Lisa could've imagined. Surely Jennie would've stopped her advances eventually...right?
Was she just going along with things to make Lisa happy? The thought made Lisa's mouth run dry, but it was too unlike Jennie to really believe. Sure, the honour student was a suck up to the adults, but she'd never been one to give into Lisa just for the sake of it.
Still, it was almost just as hard to believe that Jennie wanted her in the same way that she wanted Jennie.
Regardless, Lisa's instincts had taken complete control of her after missing the other girl for two weeks. Not to mention her own sexual frustration which had been going on before the two of them even started dating. Lisa would have to keep a tighter rein on her emotions if she didn't want to drive Jennie away from her.
Still, that was easier said than done. Normally, Lisa was sort of insecure with leading these sorts of things. Her ex-girlfriend, the only other person she'd ever dated, had taken all the initiative. Lisa thought about how much more clumsy her own approach had been; her ex had been very deliberate and controlled whereas Lisa was impulsive and almost animalistic.
Well, the bitch did have more experience, after all...
"I can't say we have a ton of food," Lisa called out to Jennie, scanning the half-empty shelves of her pantry.
"Unless you want some snack cakes."
"I'll pass," Jennie replied flatly.
"Then do you want something to drink? We've got tea, coffee, water...that's about it."
Figures. Lisa's mom was usually too busy to do grocery shopping - she just gave Lisa some money each week and told her to buy whatever if she was hungry. At least when Jieun lived at home, she'd usually take the initiative in the kitchen. If Lisa missed anything about her older sister, it was her cooking
"I'm surprised you have tea," Jennie remarked, a bit sarcastically
"Seems a bit refined for your taste."
Lisa picked out a box of tea from the pantry, sensing that Jennie wanted some of it. "I think my mom likes to drink it at night sometimes. Is jasmine alright?"
"Yes, thank you."
Lisa boiled some water before pouring some into a couple of mugs and placing a tea bag inside each of them. She carried them over to the living room where Jennie was sitting, placing one in front of Jennie on the coffee table. Lisa put her own down and sat next to the honour student.
"I'm sorry again about earlier," Lisa said, rubbing the back of her neck nervously. She was having trouble getting it out of her mind.
"I don't know why you keep apologizing," Jennie said, taking a sip of her tea. "It's not like it doesn't take two of us to...you know...do that."
Lisa was not entirely reassured, but she opted to drop it and ask a question that had been on her mind for a while. "So, are you, like, into girls then?"
"Obviously I am since I'm dating you." Jennie flashed her an annoyed look. "And as far as I know, you are a girl."
Lisa cracked a smile. "Hey, you don't know that for sure."
"Well, I guess I'll never know for sure, since I'm not going to go out of my way and check." Lisa was a bit surprised by the boldness of her statement, but it must've been unintentional because Jennie blushed after saying it, holding her tea close to her chin and averting her eyes.
Lisa smirked a little. "Never?"
"Pervert."
Lisa laughed a little. This manner of speaking reminded her of how they used to always bicker. Not that the banter had completely subsided - it just always seemed a lot more flirtatious now.
"Uh, but anyway, back to your original question." Jennie stared into her mug as she seemed to try and find the right words. "I don't really know for sure about my sexuality. My mom died around the time where people start thinking about that stuff, so I didn't exactly have a normal experience with puberty."
Lisa looked at her understandingly. "I can imagine. No kid should have to deal with something so heavy."
Jennie nodded. "I 'dated' a boy in 8th grade, if you could even call it that. But I wasn't all that interested in him. I was just kinda lonely and curious."
"Well, it's okay to not understand exactly what you're into," Lisa offered, "Obviously just let me know if you're uncomfortable. I worry about that all the time."
Jennie raised an eyebrow. "Really? You always seem super confident."
Lisa blushed a little and scratched her cheek. "Nah, not around you."
Jennie smiled, blushed a bit, and looked down. The cuteness of the action caused Lisa's heart to throb.
"What about you?" Jennie asked suddenly. "When did you figure out you were...a lesbian?"
"Ah, I figured I was like that from when I was a kid," Lisa said. "I was pretty sure of it, but I kind of suppressed it a little since I was raised a little more traditionally."
"Wow, from a kid?"
"Yep! Never thought about boys at all."
"I feel like everything's so simple with you," Jennie remarked. "Sometimes it makes me feel like I'm always overthinking things."
Lisa smiled at her, leaning towards her a bit.
"There's nothing wrong with thinking things through. To tell you the truth, I've been overthinking a lot recently."
Jennie leaned towards her as well, lowering her voice a bit. "And why's that?"
Lisa reached up to cup her cheek, inching her face closer.
"Take a guess"
And with that, their lips connected. While the kiss from earlier was passionate and desperate, this one was rather slow and savouring. Lisa's entire body felt like it was on fire from all this physical contact following a few weeks of hardly even getting to talk to each other. Her heart ached at the thought of having to go however many more weeks like that.
It was somewhat starting to scare Lisa how much she liked the other girl - her feelings only seemed to grow stronger when they couldn't see each other, and every time they did meet, Lisa felt herself falling deeper and deeper. She was afraid of getting hurt like last time - she would really be in terrible shape if this relationship went badly. Still, Lisa couldn't resist continuing forward. Like a moth to a flame...
They weren't watching the time to see when sixth period was starting, but Lisa found herself unable to care. She wanted to make this moment last as long as she could, and Jennie seemed to be having the same idea (rather surprising coming from a straight A student).
But unfortunately, all moments have to end, and theirs' did when Lisa picked up the sound of a key fumbling into a lock. They instantly broke apart, just in time for the front door to swing open.
What the hell? There's no way Mom's off work this early!
However, it wasn't her mother who stepped into the house, but her older sister. The blonde shut the door behind her and seemed to start a bit when she saw the two of them over in the living room.
"Jieun?" Lisa called, a little flustered. "What are you doing here?"
"I could ask you the same thing." Jieun replied coolly, shaking off her initial surprise. She walked further inside, her eyes flickering between the two of them almost suspiciously.
"Are you two skipping school?"
"We just stopped by for lunch," Lisa answered, annoyed. She didn't need her sister's judgement she could just keep her weird looks to herself.
"Well, I hope I wasn't interrupting anything," Jieun said, further irritating her younger sister.
"I left my watch here and finally got the time to stop by and get it."
Meaning she was also trying to find a time when Mom wouldn't be around.
"Well don't let us stop you," Lisa muttered sarcastically.
Jieun flashed her a look before running upstairs to her old bedroom. When she was out of sight, Jennie glanced at Lisa worriedly.
"Is she suspicious of us?" she asked.
Lisa hadn't told her about how Jieun confronted her about their relationship two weeks ago. She figured it would just cause Jennie to worry, and she already had plenty to worry about.
"Ah, don't mind her," Lisa dismissed. "She just always comes off like that."
Jennie nodded, but she seemed a bit unconvinced.
Jieun, after only a few seconds, appeared once more, heading down the stairs with her watch in her hand. However, once she reached the bottom step, a muffled ringtone began playing from her purse. The blonde dug it out of her bag and answered before really even looking at the screen.
"Hello?" she said in a monotone voice.
However, once the other person started speaking, Jieun's face immediately went red. Lisa was actually stunned by that reaction - she hadn't seen her sister get flustered since she went through a shy phase back when they were kids.
"What? Why'd you do that? Urgh, no! Don't wait for me!"
She hung up abruptly, glaring at her phone. After putting it back in her purse, she noticed Lisa staring at her.
"What?" she asked, her tone a bit shifty, as if she'd been caught red handed with something.
"Nothing, nothing," Lisa said, turning around on the couch.
She heard Jieun grab her coat and walked towards the front door. "Make sure you get to class on time."
And with that, she headed outside, shutting the door rather loudly behind her.
"Whoa," Lisa uttered as if she was releasing a breath she'd been holding.
"What is it?" Jennie asked.
"I've never seen my sister act like that," Lisa said suddenly very curious. "I wonder who was calling her."
"Does she have a boyfriend or something?"
"I don't know, but if she does, that couldn't have been him," Lisa explained. "Jieun's always been super cold around her boyfriends. That's why she gets dumped all the time."
Jennie offered a half smile. "Maybe she found someone special this time."
Lisa shook her head, unable to even imagine it.
Jieun never really took an interest in anyone - she couldn't imagine her sister being in love. It was, like, contrary to her entire personality.
Jennie pulled out her own phone and looked at the time. "Well, it looks like we're not going to make it to class on time after all."
Lisa smirked. "Wanna ditch?"
Jennie gave her the side eye and folded her arms across her chest.
"You're really a bad influence.
And Lisa just laughed.
