Chapter 104
Billionaire’s Missing Darling
Henry didnât accompany Olivia to Danielâs residence. Instead, he returned to the small apartment outside the school.
It was Oliviaâs request.
Henry was a bit puzzled. He wondered why she came here. Did she quarrel with her husband?
As he was grappling with confusion, they arrived at the apartment.
He parked the car and stepped out to open the car door for Olivia.
However, she calmly remained seated in the back without any intention of getting out.
Confused, Henry couldnât help but ask, âMiss Olivia, arenât you getting out of the car?â
Olivia lowered her gaze, her expression cold, tinged with a hint of weariness. âNo, itâs too troublesome.
Iâll have to go back up in a while.â
Troublesome?
Henry was even more baffled. Why was getting out of the car troublesome? Just as he was scratching his head in confusion, he suddenly saw a familiar Bentley approaching ahead.
Wasnât this Isabellaâs car? Why was it here?
Henry became even more bewildered.
The black Bentley glided to a slow stop before them, and the person stepping out from inside was a familiar face to Henry. It was Joe, the Sullivan familyâs driver.
âJoe!â Henryâs eyes widened. âWhy are you here?â
Joe had something urgent to attend to, so he didnât exchange pleasantries with Henry. He nodded and said in a low voice, âIâm picking someone up.â Then, he ran to the back door and opened it. A man in his forties.
came out.
The man was wearing a tuxedo, not the traditional kind but a modified, looseâfitting version. It gave him an elegant appearance.
âMr. Smith, is this the right place?â Joe pointed to the apartment in front. of them.
The man nodded and said, âWait here. Iâll go up and take a look.â
homeâs Missing Darling Joe complied respectfully and stood downstairs, watching as the man went upstairs.
Joeâs attitude was very respectful. He was not only the driver for Isabella but also an esteemed elder within the Sullivan family. It was the first time. Henry had seen him this deferential. He was so shocked that he dared not utter a word.
After the man went upstairs, he approached Joe and asked curiously, âWho is that? What are you doing here?â
Joe furrowed his brows slightly. âThatâs Yanis. Heâs Isaacâs junior. Heâs here to pick up the renowned doctorâs granddaughter.â
The renowned doctor? Henry widened his eyes. âHeâs actually here? Did Ms. Yvonne invited him here?â
Joe nodded.
Seeing this, Henry glanced at Olivia sitting in the car and couldnât help but feel sympathy for her. He thought to himself, âMs. Yvonne is really. formidable. She can easily overshadow Miss Olivia. Could Miss Olivia compete with her?â
Instantly, Henryâs face fell. He began to think that Olivia probably had little hope left.
At this moment, Daniel emerged from the apartment entrance. Joe quickly went up to him. Seeing Yanisâ tightly knitted brows, he felt his heart skipped a beat. Did he not find her, or was the renowned doctorâs granddaughter unwilling to come with them?
He asked anxiously, âWhat happened? Didnât you find her?â
Yanis nodded with a grave expression. âMiss Olivia is not here.â As he spoke, he took out his phone and was about to make a call. However, as his gaze shifted, he suddenly caught sight of a familiar figure in the car window across the way.
Yanis was stupefied!
He stood rooted to the ground. Following his gaze, Henry and Joe looked over to see Olivia inside the car.
Henry was confused. Did Yanis know Olivia? Why was he so surprised?
Unlike Henry, Joe did not have a good impression of Olivia, Feeling disgruntled, he immediately frowned. What was she doing here? Why did she seem to be everywhere?
He grew irritated and found Olivia to be a nuisance. Just as he was about Billionaireâs Missing Darling to open his mouth to scold her, Henry, who was at the side, seemed to have suddenly realized something. He exclaimed, âMiss Olivia also lives here. She might know the renowned doctorâs granddaughter.â
He turned to Yanis in excitement. âMr. Smith, whatâs the renowned doctorâs granddaughterâs name?
Why donât you ask Miss Olivia? She might know her.â
Beside them, Joe frowned in surprise. What a coincidence! Olivia lived here, too!
Joe took a step forward and approached Olivia with an air of arrogance. âMiss Olivia, do you happen to know a young woman with the surname Smith?â
Olivia looked up coldly and calmly met his gaze. Her eyes flickered, yet she didnât utter a word.
Joe thought she might be unwilling to share the information, and he grew displeased. He looked at Olivia with a disdainful expression and said sternly, âMs. Taylor, you should be more generous. Since you aspire to enter the Sullivan family, you should understand what is appropriate and what is not.
Donât do anything that might displease Mrs. Sullivan. This concerns her health. I hope you can be rational and not create unnecessary trouble. Tell me where Ms. Smith is as soon as possible.â
Oliviaâs eyes curved upwards, and her gaze turned cold. She said, âYour attitude might be why Miss Smith wonât show up.â
âWhat did you say?â Joe erupted in anger. He raised his hand and was about to open Oliviaâs door.
However, before his hand could even touch the handle and open the door, another strong hand firmly pressed him against the car door with a loud thud.
Joe was stunned, his eyes wide. He turned around and realized that the person restraining him was Yanis.
âWhy?â He couldnât understand.
Unsure how to react, Henry also stood there dazed.
With a look of disgust, Yanis glanced at Joe and effortlessly tossed him aside. He then turned his gaze gently toward Olivia with an anxious expression. âMs. Taylor, I hope I didnât startle you.â
His words landed like thunderclaps, echoing with deafening roars over Joe and Henryâs heads.
Rullionaireâs Missing Darling Joeâs eyes widened. His eyes were bloodshot and filled with disbelief. He muttered to himself, âHow could this be? How could this be?â
Henry was equally dazed, his arms trembling. It took him a long while to regain his senses.
Olivia looked at Yanis and nodded slightly. She then addressed him affectionately. âMr. Yanis.â
Upon hearing this, Yanis visibly relaxed He quickly explained the situation to Olivia. âMs. Taylor, Mr.
Liam Taylor instructed me to pick you up and bring you there to treat someone.â
He paused momentarily, casting a disdainful look at Joe. Then, his tone changed drastically. âHowever, your wishes come first. Ms. Taylor, if you donât wish to go, you donât have to!â
No way! Joeâs face turned pale. He subconsciously wanted to object, but catching sight of the icy glare from Yanis, he swallowed his words, too scared to speak up.
Olivia paid no mind to Joeâs reaction. She did not even spare him a glance. Instead, she addressed Yanis, âUncle Yanis, please get in the car.â
Then, she looked at Henry coldly.
Henry immediately understood what Olivia meant. He swiftly moved over, slipped into the driverâs seat, and started the car.
In the back, Joe watched the car drive away. The scalding exhaust fumes made him jump as if he had been burned. He quickly got into his own car.
Yanis sat in the front passenger seat, and Olivia occupied the back seat. She seemed tired. Leaning against the back, she closed her eyes as she rested.
As Henry drove, he stole a glance at Olivia through the rearview mirror. He finally realized the meaning behind the two statements she had made earlier.
âThe Sullivan family will send someone to bring me back.â
âNo, itâs too troublesome. Iâll have to go back up in a while.â My goodness, this was ridiculous!
