Chapter 347
Billionaire’s Missing Darling
In the room, Olivia was bent over the table, holding a pencil and sketching something on the drawing board.
Daniel came over with the milk and said gently, âHave some milk, and youâll have a good nightâs sleep.â
Olivia took the milk obediently when Daniel leaned over to see the prototype she outlined on the drawing board.
âWhatâs this?â he asked.
Olivia held the glass and said, âItâs the draft for the drawing competition.â Due to time constraints, the competitors did not draw on the spot during the competition. Instead, they outlined and painted the drafts they brought with them.
Olivia had almost completed her manuscript. She only needed to add a few minor details.
Daniel nodded and looked down to admire her work. Then, the more he looked at it, the more he felt that it was beautiful. It was simply too beautiful. He could not help but praise, âItâs so beautiful. You deserve to be the best in the world, Olivia.â
Olivia was having the milk when she suddenly heard this and almost choked.
She raised her hand and punched him. âKeep your voice down. Itâs so embarrassing.â
âHow could it be embarrassing?â Daniel did not think so at all. âYouâre just too humble.â
Olivia was speechless.
Daniel moved the drawing board to the studio on the fourth floor. Coincidentally, Ellis, who could not sleep, saw him and immediately went forward. âLet me do it, Mr. Sullivan.â
Daniel dodged him. âStay away from me. Donât break it.â
Ellis reacted extremely fast. When he saw that he could not move the drawing board, he immediately ran to the front and pressed the elevator button. He blocked the elevator door with one arm and turned sideways to let Daniel in. âEasy, Mr. Sullivan.â
After entering the elevator, Ellis walked around the drawing board and asked curiously, âMr. Sullivan, is this the draft Mrs. Sullivan has prepared for the drawing competition?â
Ellis did not know much about drawing on the drawing board wings and could not understand the draft. He only felt that the Daniel nodded and smiled smugly.
quite nice.
âItâs really beautiful,â Ellis praised. Then, he was a little worried. âDo you think Mrs. Sullivan can win such a professional drawing competition? I heard that there are many young painters in this competition who have been famous for a long time.â
Ellis was really worried. After all, Olivia was an amateur painter and did not spend much time and effort on drawing.
To be frank, Ellis felt a little uncertain.
Daniel glanced at Ellis and felt that it was meaningless for him to worry about this. Daniel thought, âWhat does he mean by if she can win?
âOf course, she can! She will definitely win!
âOlivia is so powerful. Why will she fail?â
âDonât worry.â Daniel looked confident. âOliviaâs work is amazing.â
Ellis nodded. âI know Mrs. Sullivanâs work is amazing, but art is a very subjective thing. What if the judges think that other peopleâs paintings are better than Mrs. Sullivanâs?â
Danielâs tone was determined. âIf the judges think so, it must be because they are not good enough.â
He then continued, âHowever, what you said makes sense.â Daniel frowned. His expression was gloomy and solemn. âI canât let the Manson family dominate the competition.â
He called out, âEllis, I need to sponsor this competition. Make it happen.â âShould I do it in the companyâs name?â Ellis naked.
Daniel shook his head. âItâs easter to use my personal nameâ
Ellis understood. âHow much are you going to sponsor? 2 million dollars?â
He gave a number that was quite big.
Daniel frowned. âThat will be too stingy. Make It 10 million dollars.â
Ellis didnât know what to say, Fine. Since youâre rich, you have the final say âBy the way,â Daniel remembered something and asked Ellis, âhave you gotten the black card I asked you to get?â
âItâs done.â Ellis nodded repeatedly, However, he was a little hesitant. âBoss, thereâs no limit on this card. Are you sure that you will give it to Mrs. Sullivan? In my opinion, itâs better to get her a supplementary card. Thatâs how others do it.â
He was thinking, âThat way, Mr. Sullivan will know every expense Mrs. Sullivan makes very well. Things will not be in his control if he gives her the black card directly. Moreover, thereâs no limit on the black card.
What it Mrs. Sullivan buys something worth tens of billions with that card all of a sudden⦠The consequences will be too severe.
Daniel was displeased. âHow can you compare the relationship between me and Olivia with othersâ?
Weâre different from other people. I earn money so that Olivia can spend it. Otherwise, why would I earn so much money?â
Spending money on Olivia was the happiest thing for Daniel.
Back at the bottom of the cliff, when Daniel saw Olivia get her necessities from the village market, he felt sorry for her.
He didnât want her to buy the stuff at street stalls. He wanted to buy her branded goods, the most expensive and best things in the world. He would earn a lot of money and give it all to Livy and let her spend as she pleased.
Ellis muttered, âBut there should be a limit. What if Mrs. Sullivan doesnât control her spending and spends a lot? What if she uses up the money on the card?â
âIf she uses up the money, it will mean that Iâm not earning enough. What does it have to do with Olivia spending too much money?â As Daniel spoke, he glanced sideways at Ellis, as if it was the first time he had met him. His eyes were filled with disdain.
He looked as if he was saying, âHow could a man who doesnât earn enough money have the cheek to blame a woman for spending money recklessly?â
Ellis instantly felt ashamed.
After sending the drawing board to the studio, Daniel clapped his hands and heaved a sigh of relief. He felt that he had completed an important mission.
He turned around and was about to walk back when he saw Ellis from the corner of his eye. Suddenly, he had an idea.
Daniel asked a question. âWhat do you think of my performance at the auction today, Ellis?â
Ellis didnât know what to say.
He thought, âIt was totally weird!
âIf not for the fact that Mr. Sullivan were my boss, I would definitely complain about his strange behavior online. It was simply unbelievable for him to righteously say that he was living off a woman.
However, Ellis did not dare to speak his mind.
After pondering for a moment, Ellis asked, âWhat do you mean exactly, Mr. Sullivan?â
He wondered, âOh my god, could it be that he is competing with Alexander?â Although he really felt that his boss was much more handsome than Alexander, Danielâs performance today was really not good.
Not only did he claim righteously that he was living off a woman, but he also showed the affection between him and Olivia in public.
Everyone present was probably shocked by what Daniel did.
Daniel thought, âWhat do I mean exactly?â
Daniel pondered for a moment. âBetween me and Alexander, who do you think Olivia cares more about?â âYou, of course! Mr. Sullivan has already stood up for you,â Ellis immediately said.
However, as a professional secretary, he still had the responsibility of advising. Hence, he said, âI think that you should pay more attention to your image, Mr. Sullivan. Your performance tonight will cause the public to misunderstand you and have other opinions of you.â
Hearing this, Daniel did not care. His expression was indifferent and arrogant. âTheyâre not Olivia. Why should I care about their opinions?â
He thought that people could look at him however they wanted. He had shown enough respect, yet they still dared to have opinions about him.
Daniel did not care about what others thought. He only cared about Olivia.
