Chapter 414
Billionaire’s Missing Darling
Olivia was not a reckless person. She had made thorough preparations for this trip to Ritchfield. She brought a lot of things, and she had researched a lot of information. The number of guards was also sufficient. Not only were there personal guards accompanying her, but there were also plainclothes guards around. There were people ready to provide support or assistance at every location along the way.
Every route was carefully planned.
The Grant family was not at the end of their rope yet. They would act cautiously out of consideration for their identity and the election. They might resort to underhanded tactics, but they would not dare to create a major disturbance. Therefore, Oliviaâs trip was dangerous, but it was not as serious as Daniel had imagined.
After two days of preparation, they set off on the third day.
Olivia woke up early. She went downstairs, wanting to take a taxi to the airport. As soon as she arrived at the living room, she saw Elena panicking. âOh no, Miss Taylor,â she said. âAnna suddenly has leg pain, and she canât walk.â
Letâs go take a look.â Olivia said. She hurriedly went to the guest room on the second floor with Elena.
In the room. Annaâs face was pale. She was covered in sweat from the pain. Wesley sat beside her, looking at her worriedly.
Wesley, donât worry about me.â Anna said as she bit her lower lip and endured the pain. âGo ahead and set off with Mr. Sullivan and others. Donât let me hold things up.â
Olivia carefully examined Annaâs complexion. She then frowned and said, âWe have to send her to the hospital right away.â
Wesley grabbed Annaâs hand and said, âIâll send you there.â
1. o. Anna said, shaking her head. âDonât worry about me. Donât hold Sullivan up. Hurry up and set off.â
What about you?â Wesley said. âIâm worried. He was in a dilemma.
Elena spoke up at this moment. âIâll send Anna to the hospital,â she said. âIâll stay to look after her.â
Annaâs eyes lit up, but she quickly concealed it. She frowned and said hesitantly, âIs it okay? Elena, donât let me hold you up just because Iâm not well.â
Wesley also turned to look at Elena, wanting to say something but hesitating. Itâs okay. Elena said. Her tone was gentle, but her expression was incredibly resolute. âIâll stay to take care of Anna.â
Tiltsames Missing Darling âElena.â Anna said, tears welling up in her eyes, âsorry for being a burden and holding you up.â
Olivia stood at the side and quietly watched this little drama. She felt that Anna had a bit of cleverness.
Instead of joining along to keep an eye on Wesley and Elena by going through the hardships of longâ
distance journeys, Anna thought it was better to pretend to be unwell so that she could keep Elena by her side, effectively keeping Elena and Wesley apart.
Unfortunately, Olivia could not let Elena stay.
âI have medical skills,â Olivia said as she extended her hand. âLet me take a look at your leg.â
Upon hearing that, Annaâs pupils contracted, and her body instinctively tensed for a moment.
Wesley looked at Olivia and was pleasantly surprised. âMs. Taylor, you have medical skills?â he asked.
âOf course,â Elena said proudly. âMiss Taylor is the head of the Smith family. Do you know about Smith Hospital in Layfield? Thatâs hers.â
Seeing that Oliviaâs hand was about to touch her leg, Annaâs eyes briefly showed a change in expression. She suddenly asked, âMs. Taylor, do you have a medical license?
Î There was a pause in Oliviaâs hand movement. She turned her eyes to look at Anna.
Anna smiled and said, âMs. Taylor, donât misunderstand. Itâs not that Iâm looking down on you, but my leg condition is very unique. I have high expectations when. it comes to the experience that a doctor has. It is ideal that Iâm examined by my regular attending physician. Only the attending physician can have a comprehensive understanding of my condition and prescribe the right treatment.â At this point, Anna sighed with a sad expression. She continued, âThis leg has brought me too much pain. Iâm really afraid. No offense. Other than my attending physician, I do not want to be attended by anyone else.â
âOh,â Olivia replied as she raised her gaze and looked at Anna appraisingly in at calm manner. Her amberâcolored eyes were clear and pure, as if they could see through peopleâs minds.
Instinctively, Anna shrank back and quickly lowered her eyes. She did not dare to look at Olivia.
Seeing this, Olivia chuckled lightly. She could not be bothered to argue with such a person. She said directly, âSince you firmly believe that only your attending physician can treat you well, let attending physician examine you then.â
your âWhat does that mean?â the three people who were present in the room thought. They were in a daze, looking puzzled.
Anna was even more bewildered. She raised her eyes and looked in the direction.
of Oliviaâs line of sight. Then, she saw a familiar figure slowly approaching.
She thought. Itâs really my regular attending physician, Robin Dawson! How, how is this even possible?â
Olivia locked at everyone quietly and said in a calm tone, âI mentioned I would make thorough preparations. Ms. Brianâs regular attending physician arrived yesterday.
As soon as Olivia finished talking, the room fell into silence.
The only noticeable activity was Robinâs careful examination.
Olivia no longer paid attention to the others. She turned around and walked toward the door. When she reached the door, she suddenly turned around and said. âMs. Brian, if you donât feel well, stay here and recuperate. Donât worry. There are lots of servants here. They will definitely take good care of you. Dr.
Dawson will also be here the whole time.â
Anna looked thoroughly displeased now.
She thought, âThis Olivia actually wants to leave me here alone!â
Suppressing her anger, Anna sat up and smiled, saying, âIâm fine. I wonât delay the departure.â
Robin, who was beside her, nodded and said, âIndeed, sheâs fine. Ms. Brianâs earlier severe pain should have been psychological distress.â
Anna thought, âPsychological distress? You might as well say Iâm pretending!â Anna gritted her teeth. In a corner where others could not see, she gave Robin a fierce glare.
After the others left, she immediately questioned Robin. âWhatâs wrong with you?â she said. âWhy didnât you help me hide it?â
In the past, Anna had pretended to be in pain many times, and Robin had helped her with logical explanations. This was why Wesley had been so concerned. He had always believed that Anna was genuinely in pain..
Robin was expressionless as he said, âMs. Brian, Iâm a person with medical ethics. When did I help you hide it? Donât make baseless accusations. You used to be genuinely in pain before, but starting today, you wonât be in pain anymore!â âWhatâs wrong with you?â Anna said as she frowned. âWhy did you become so strange?â
Robin completely ignored Anna. He immediately turned around and walked away.
Anna was so angry that she pounded on the bed. However, she had no choice but to get up. She was afraid that she would be left behind.
She thought, âThat Olivia is so darn cunning. Elena must have said something to her, which is why Olivia is acting this way.â
At the entrance of the villa, Elena looked at Olivia with admiration in her gaze Pillionaireâs Missing Daling and said. âMiss Taylor, youâre amazing. Did you anticipate that Anna would cause trouble?â
âIâm not omnipotent,â Olivia said leisurely as she lowered her eyes and glanced at Elena, âI canât anticipate all the unexpected events. I just try to be as prepared as possible and try my best to avoid unforeseen circumstances.â
Elena scratched her head and said, âMiss Taylor, why did you think of bringing Dr. Dawson here? If it were me, I might have thought of bringing a doctor along. but I wouldnât have thought of bringing Annaâs regular attending doctor.â Olivia curled her lips, and her gaze was calm as she said, âDealing with todayâs drama isnât the reason I brought Dr. Dawson along. Preventing Anna from causing trouble is not the reason either. I just wanted to understand her condition. better. After all, since I brought her out, I have to be responsible for her safety. The more I understand, the more I can provide effective help.â
âI didnât expectâ¦â Olivia chuckled, feeling that it was a case of unintentionally achieving a positive outcome..
She thought, âUnexpectedly, being kind to others, caring for others, and making thorough preparations can not only enable one to care for others better, but one can also prevent the other party from causing trouble. How interesting!â
