Chapter 51

Previously, at the Resort Hotel, Daniel’s plan did not succeed. After knowing that Olivia had left early, his face darkened with anger for a day. The secretary and assistant were so frightened that they trembled and did not dare to speak loudly.

After sulking for the entire day, Daniel returned home at night and went straight into Andrew’s room.

Andrew was sitting on the ground playing Lego. When he saw Daniel coming in, he waved his little hands happily. “Daddy, come play with me.” Looking at happy Andrew, Daniel suddenly felt a surge of sadness. It was the sadness of a man who had no wife and was raising a child alone.

He worked hard to take care of Andrew. But his mother was leisurely. She would go overseas one moment and enjoy the hot spring the next. She did not care about them at all.

This son was useless!

Daniel could not help but vent his anger. Andrew did not know how to help at all.

He sat in front of Andrew and played Lego with him for a while. About five minutes later, he ran out of patience and reminded Andrew, “Didn’t I teach you to be grateful?”

Andrew had always been serious about Daniel’s words. Upon hearing this, he thought about it seriously for a moment before shaking his head. “No, you didn’t…”

Daniel was speechless.

His damned memory was just like his mother’s. It was very good. A child who was only a few years old had such a good memory and remembered everything clearly.

“Didn’t I teach you?” Daniel changed his tone. “Then I’ll teach you now.”

“Okay.” Andrew sat down obediently. He was trying his best to be a well–behaved child who studied hard.

Daniel briefly explained the meaning of gratitude, which was to thank others for their help.

After saying that, he gave an example. “Previously at the Resort Hotel, that beautiful sister, Olivia, took care of you and coaxed you to sleep. Shouldn’t you thank her?”

Andrew was smart and quick–witted. He immediately nodded. “I understand. This is called gratitude, but…” He was a little conflicted.

“What’s wrong?” Daniel asked.

Andrew voiced out his dilemma. “I want to be grateful and thank Olivia. However, she is an adult now. I can’t coax her to sleep as she did to me…” At this point, Andrew was a little unhappy. He felt that he was useless. “You don’t have to coax her to sleep to thank her,” Daniel said patiently. “You can call her to thank her. You can also give her a gift and treat her to dinner.”

The more Andrew listened, the brighter his eyes became. He sat up was about to run out.

“Where are you going?” Daniel frowned and grabbed the back of Andrew’s collar.

Andrew stretched out his fair wrist. “Get my smartwatch and call Olivia!” His smartwatch was taken off by Zoe and placed on the coffee table in the living room.

“No need.” Daniel took out his phone. “Use mine.”

Andrew took Daniel’s phone with both hands and watched as he skillfully found a number to make a call.

“Why do you have Olivia’s number?” Andrew asked as he stared at the name stored in the address book.

He already knew some words. But he couldn’t tell the word on Daniel’s phone.

Andrew could speak English, but he did not know how to write. He only knew some simple words.

“What does this mean?” Andrew pointed at the words on it with his finger.

Daniel glanced at the word “Honey” and ignored Andrew’s question. He reminded him, “The call is connected.”

Hearing this, Andrew quickly picked up his phone.

But before he could pick up the phone, Olivia’s voice came from the other end of the phone. It was very loud.

Andrew blinked in surprise and found it strange. “When did Daniel put it on speaker?” he thought.

However, he could not care about that now because Olivia’s voice had already come through.

“Olivia.” Andrew greeted her happily. “Last time, you accompanied me and coaxed me to sleep. I want to thank you, Olivia.”

Olivia was bored in Emma’s room when she received a call from Andrew.

Her originally boring mood instantly brightened. She waved at Ethan and Emma before leaving and returning to her room.

Olivia realized that she really liked this little guy more and more. It had only been two days since they last met, and she was already missing him.

The two of them talked a lot on the phone.

Andrew said that he wanted to thank Olivia and give her a gift.

Olivia talked about her work and the Taylor family’s matter.

Andrew knew about Stars Bay. He had gone there to play.

“Today.”
