Chapter 597

Kelly had prepared gifts for the Collins family. She asked Brenda for advice on what to buy.

“It’s alright. Whether the ‘gifts are expensive or not, it’s the thought that counts,” Brenda helped Kelly choose a few gifts that were not high in value but very thoughtful.

Finally, everything was ready, and Kelly changed into a lady–like dress. Looking at her sweet and docile appearance in the mirror, she almost could not recognize herself. She did not expect that one day, she would dress up as a conservative lady.

Upon arriving at the Collins family’s old residence, as soon as they got out of the car, Brenda covered her chest and said, “It hurts.”

“Are you having a heart attack?” Seth and Nina panicked. “Quick, let’s go to the hospital.”

Seth, remaining calm and rational, spoke up. “Okay. Here’s what we’ll do. I’ll take Kelly to see Dad.

Brenda, you and your mom can go to the hospital.”

After everything was arranged, Seth was still distracted with worry for Brenda. Kelly was also concerned about her sister, so she suggested, “Dad, how about we go to the hospital?”

“No.” Seth frowned. He looked worried but spoke with determination. “Your grandfather and the others have been waiting for a long time. We have to meet them. Go in first, and I’ll call your mother to ask about the situation.”

The Collins family’s old residence was quite large. After Seth left a moment, Kelly was left alone.

Penelope’s gaze shifted to the gift bag in Kelly’s hand, and she raised an eyebrow, asking, “Is that for Grandpa?”

Kelly nodded. The helpers had already/brought in the other gifts. This tie was for Grandpa, so she carried it herself.

“A niche tie?” Penelope glanced at it and sneered. “Please don’t look like a cheesy sandwich. Can you not be so petty? Grandpa’s ties are all from Bosman. Don’t take out such an unpresentable gifi.”

She then displayed the jade Buddha in her hand. “Do you see this? It’s a jade Buddha worth three hundred thousand dollars. Only such a gift can be presented to Grandpa. Don’t blame me for not warning you. The Collins clan is a huge family, and if you present this gift, you’ll definitely be ridiculed.”

After saying that, Penelope ignored Kelly and walked forward quickly.
