Chapter 619
Billionaire’s Missing Darling
Ian could not control himself at all. His heart was beating fast, and his wrist was trembling. He had to clench his fingers tightly to barely control himself.
âNo, I canât do this!â he thought.
lan forcefully turned his head around, his eyes turning cold.
âMr. Walter, youâre here,â Dylan said happily. âQuick, find a seat for Mr. Walter.â
Penelope sat next to Ian and looked up with a charming expression. âMr. Walter, what do you think about breakfast today?â
She covered her mouth and giggled, her eyes sparkling. âLet me tell you a secret. I prepared breakfast today. Try it and see if you like it.â
Ian sat elegantly on the chair. His eyes were sparkling, and his side profile was as exquisite as if it had been carefully created by God.
He forked a piece of pastry and took a bite of it. âIt tastes good,â he said with a nod.
âIâm glad you like it.â Penelope was a little proud.
When Cyril saw this, he immediately praised Penelope and said, âMiss Penelope is really capable. I didnât expect your culinary skills to be so good.â
Seeing that Penelopeâs relationship with Ian was getting closer, Millie became anxious and interrupted, saying, âThis is nothing. Women from the Hushe Republic all know some culinary skills. We canât be considered capable.â
Dylan also chuckled and said, âYour culinary skills are all good.â
Upon hearing this, Cyril looked at Kelly, who was dozing off, and deliberately asked, âI wonder what Miss Kelly is good at?â
Kelly was still dreaming when she suddenly heard someone call her name. She was so shocked that she almost fell off her chair.
She looked extremely embarrassed!
Everyone could not help but cover their mouths and snicker.
Kelly felt very awkward. She quietly held her chair in place and nodded at everyone. âIâm sorry. I didnât sleep well last night.â
âMr. Walter, look!â When Cyril saw this, he immediately leaned to lanâs ears, wanting to criticize Kelly.
However, before he could say anything, lan shot him a cold gaze.
Jan could barely suppress his anger and said, âYouâre too rash! You scared her, you know!â
His voice was extremely low, so no one else could hear him. However, Cyril could feel the extreme anger contained in his low voice.
Cyril was completely stunned by Ianâs reprimand.
âMr. Walter, donât you want to be pickyâ¦â
lan frowned. âI told you to be picky, but I didnât ask you to scare her!â
Cyril was rendered speechless.
It was too difficult for him!
Amid the conversation between lan and Cyril, no one noticed that Penelope was still making things difficult for Kelly. âKelly, Mr. Cyril is asking you what youâre good at.â
How could Kelly know how to cook? She only knew how to eat.
She looked up at Penelope and said calmly, âI donât like to cook. I prefer to taste delicious food.â
Penelope sneered, and Millie also covered her mouth quietly.
It seemed that they had won again.
They thought, âKelly didnât even know how to cook. Didnât she see that Mr. Walter was frowning? He must be disgusted!
Penelopeâs gaze secretly swept across lanâs cold and slightly furrowed brows. Confidence grew in her heart.
She thought, âMr. Walter must be disgusted with Kelly.
Looks like Kelly isnât always that hard to deal with. Sometimes sheâs full of tricks, and sometimes sheâs just plain stupid.ââ
Millie was not as happy as Penelope. That was because she had never treated Kelly as an opponent at all. Her opponent had always been Penelope.
âKelly was stupid. She didnât even know how to praise herself and honestly said that she didnât know how to cook. Mr. Walter definitely wouldnât like her,â thought Millie.
Ian left after breakfast. During this period of time, his brows were tightly knitted, and his expression was very cold. Everyone was so frightened that they did not dare to speak to him.
After leaving the dining room, Cyril asked timidly, âMr. Walter, are you in a bad mood? Is breakfast not to your liking?â
Ian sighed. The frown between his brows deepened, and depression welled up in his eyes.
âI didnât expect Kelly to have the same hobby as me. This way, itâll be even harder to hate her!â said Ian.
âWhat the hell? The same hobby?â wondered Cyril.
Cyril was stunned. âMr. Walter, what hobby are you talking about?â
âTasting delicious food!â Ian glanced at Cyril coldly. âDidnât you hear that? Kelly said that she likes to taste delicious food. Her hobby is the same as mine.â
Cyril did not know what to say.
âWell, Kelly clearly meant that she didnât know how to cook. The last sentence about tasting delicious food isnât really the point, is it? Mr. Walter, are you focusing on the wrong thing? thought he.
Cyril reminded Jan and said, âMr. Walter, what Miss Kelly means is that she doesnât know how to cook.
Donât you think thatâs a disadvantage?â
Ian sneered and said, âWhy would she do something that a chef can do?â
At this point, Jan lectured Cyril earnestly, saying, âWhy are you so chauvinistic? How can you define a woman by her cooking skills?â
Cyril was speechless.
