When Kelly returned to the Collins family, only Brenda was at home. She was reading the contract in the study.

When she heard that Kelly had returned, a trace of light flashed across her calm eyes.

“No.” Kelly leaned on Brenda’s shoulder. “Grandpa dotes on me a lot. No one bullies me.”

“That’s good.” Brenda nodded and heaved a sigh of relief. Then, she asked, “When are you going back? Will you stay for dinner? Or do you have to leave in the afternoon?”

Kelly was stunned.

Why did it feel like Brenda was chasing her away?

“Brenda.” Kelly turned to her and pouted. “Why are you chasing me away? Don’t you want me to stay?”

“You’re staying?” Brenda couldn’t control her emotions this time. She was very surprised and asked, “Aren’t you going back to Grandpa’s place?”

Kelly nodded. “Yeah, I’m not going back. I’ll stay at home for the night. I have to be on set tomorrow for the film. The scene this time is a closed shoot, and I might not be able to come out for a few months, so I’m back today.”

A thoughtful look flashed across Brenda’s eyes. “Is Mr. Walter still at the old residence?”

“He left.” Kelly did not understand why Brenda suddenly asked about lan, but she still answered truthfully.

“I didn’t expect her to be abandoned in such a short period of time,”

“Brenda!” Dylan reminded her and said, “Watch your words. Don’t give yourself away. Even if Mr.

Walter gives up on Kelly, she’s still your sister.”
