David squatted down. He wanted to check to see her wound. When he

raised the dress up to her knees, as he thought, she got hurt on her

knees.

“ah,” someone shrieked loudly. David thought it hurt her when he

stroked her knees, so he raised his head to look at Kate's face,

requiring her to ask if she was in pain.

As he raised his head, David's breath stopped at that moment. Not only

his breathing, but his entire world also stopped.

“Sister in law,” Robert shrieked in shock, and his expression changed.

His face turned pale.

Everyone became alert because Kate's pink wedding dress turned red

with blood. Kate looked down; before she could realize what happened

to her.

She felt everything in front of her turned blurry. Darkness captivated

her. She fell, leaving her unspoken words in her throat.

No one could imagine what David felt at that moment, like a black-and-

white picture. David grabbed her before she fell. “Kate,” he finally got

his senses back as he screamed in her name.

But the woman in his arms turned pale; her face turned blue. David felt

his heart burst out. “Wifey,” he called her again. He touched her chest

with his shaking hand, and he felt fresh blood coming out uninterrupted.

“What happened to her? Even though he already could predict, David

asked in terror, but his heart and brain were not giving him the bravery.

“Someone shot my sister-in-law” Robert felt his shaking body; fear

grabbed his heart, David froze like ice in the Ocean.

David's face turned paler than her “Wifey,” David screamed because

Kate was closing her eyes.

“Wifey, look at me,” David asked her again and again until she was

forced to open her eyes, but it added more horror to the situation. Kate

vomited blood, and David's half body was covered with her blood.

He stopped seeing things, only her blood color printed in his eyes.

David desperately wiped her mouth as if he was trying to stop

everything in that second; his mind was filled with one thing, Kate.

“Wifey,” David called her again; Kate felt tired. She wants to sleep, but

she can't because she could hear David's fearful voice; Kate tried to

open her eyes, she felt fear.

She raised her hand and kept them on her belly as if she was checking

was okay with her baby or not.

“Dar-darling,” Kate uttered a word with difficulty. She wanted to say she

was okay, but her heart was in pain, and she didn't have any power in

her body.

Kate's mind right now is fighting between staying conscious and

slipping into unconsciousness. One was happening, and another she

doesn't want to let happen.

“Kate, please open your eyes darling, for me, for our baby, please stay

with me,” David cried in a weak voice; he was trying to hold on to the

slipping hope; his mind was not working while his heart was in endless

pain.

Robert knew David was not in his right mind, so he connected with his

group. “Big brother, someone shot my sister-in-law,” he screamed on

the phone.

“Fuck” two sounds came at the same time.

“Where? One of them asked,

“On her chest,” Robert said

“Shit,” both of the curses, they know how dangerous it's for kate.

will die” Robert looked down at David and said in a serious tone,

mother, sister's pain, friend, life battle,

much David was suffering.

Robert's man run around, few of them crowd around Kate and David,
