Chapter 391 * Merciless *

Derek looked at Aiden, he also thought the same, but it's dangerous for

David walked toward the door. While everyone thought he would stop

there, he didn't and walked out of the room like a stranger. He didn't

walked and stopped before ICU, where they put Kate on life support.

"Can I see her? He asked; Aiden nodded, David walked inside.

“Come with me,” David called Aiden inside.

Aiden went inside. Everyone waited outside; only two people were

allowed inside, so they could only wait outside.

Inside the ICU,

David looked at the girl lying on the hospital bed with an oxygen mask

on her face and these pipes. David never thought such a day would

come in his life where he would see her body connected with these

pipes. His heart split with each sound of the device.

David walked to her and sat next to her on the sickbed; he touched her

soft little hand and face. Everything looks too real.

David finally believes she is not awake; she will not laugh cutely, talk to

him, and won't ask to coax her. She suddenly became too silent.

He leaned over and planted a few kisses over her forehead, but his lips

barely touched her because he was afraid to hurt her or disturb her.

She was like a baby who is sleeping in a deep sleep.

“How much?” he asked Aiden, keeping his eyes on Kate.

“10 percent” Aiden felt if he could, he would turn 10% percent to 100%,

but unfortunately, he can’t; no one can.

David's heart chilled as Aiden’s words hit him hard. That means she

has only a 10% chance, even if it's only for 48 hours.

Aiden was thinking about every danger they have to face if they

continue to stay here.

David's eyes suddenly changed; this time, his eyes turned dangerous;

someone’s help? David asked,

Aiden shook his head. “I only need my assistant,” he firmly answered.

“Then get ready, no need to alarm everyone, I am going to handle this

alone " David kissed her forehead once again and stood up to leave the

room.

“Are you not going to ask about the baby? Aiden’s words put chains on

David's legs. Suddenly he felt his legs weighed 100 tons; he couldn't

raise his feet to take another step.

stay with her as long as I can keep her, or leave with her when she

gives up” David's bitter voice frightened Aiden.

“The babies are already three months old, and they are likely strong

like their father and mother, but I don't know how long they would stay

in this world.

It depends on how long their mother’s body could keep them” Aiden hid

nothing; he made everything clear.

David didn't know if he should be happy or sad because he might leave

him with their babies, so he pulled his hair. Why god became so

merciless to him?

“If I take her away, will they be in danger? David asked.

“It's going to be risky for them, but if we keep them here, it's going to be

more dangerous. Our enemy is here, and I'm sure they are going to

attack soon” Aiden felt the same as David.

They heard a desperate knock on the door; David opened the door,

Alex's pale face came into view.
