Chapter 409 * Frightened *

mother, I will love you all; if not, I'm going to throw you, all,” David

showed love but didn't forget to scare the babies. Poor babies.

David was tired. After all, it's been five months. He had last slept in

peace, so hugging her, he fell asleep. In the evening, Kate woke up

She finished her business; she was washing her hands, when she

heard a scream from the bedroom, she almost lost her steps, she tried

to reach the bedroom as soon as possible.

Outside the bedroom, David had a dream. First, he felt someone

touching his face and his hair. He was feeling good, but after a minute,

suddenly he felt something was not right.

His eyes snapped open. His heart had stopped beating immediately

when he felt his empty hand.

He looked around, and no one was around. He jumped off the bed; he

tripped on the bedsheet and fell; he felt nothing, but when he failed to

see Kate around, he screamed while taking her name.

He stood up and wanted to run outside the bedroom to search for Kate;

he was too busy with his negative thoughts; he forgot to check the

bathroom.

His hand froze on the door handle when he heard her soft voice.

“Darling, what happened? Kate was frightened too much by his scream.

Her body was shaking. The first thing she remembered was Aiden's

words, David's unspecified illness.

When David heard her voice from behind, he abruptly turned behind

and looked at her. Kate was standing, holding the bathroom door. She

looked scared.

He ran to her and swiped her off the ground, and hugged her in his

embrace tightly. Kate was stunned. What happened? She was

confused, but when she felt his extraordinary heartbeat speed, she

understood his worry.

She could feel his tense and shaking body against her soft body. The

last time she had seen this side of David, when Alina kidnapped her,

and when she was shot.

This fool man was overthinking again. Suddenly David coughed, and

he was not prepared when he coughed, and blood flowed out with his

cough. Even though he turned his face and the blood fell to the ground,

Kate was frightened seeing this.

Her face turned pale. David was trying to take a breath, but Kate could

tell he was having difficulty breathing.

“Darling, let me down; you're not okay,” Kate told him, but he shook his

head. He was not willing to part with her. She suddenly felt helpless

with his stubborn character.

“Okay, you don’t need to let me go, let's sit there” she pointed toward

the couch; David went there with his stumble legs and sat on the sofa.

Kate was still on his lap; Kate tried to get off,

But he tightened his grip on her. Kate was crying already “I'm not going

anywhere, I will just call someone from the door, please,” she pleaded

with her teary eyes. David nodded; finally, he loosened his hold from

her.

Kate tried her best to stay calm, but she was so scared that she felt her

breathing stuck in her throat “someone here,” she called them. She

didn't dare to go out of the room, she yelled.

David arranged a unique system in the whole villa when Kate called so

loudly, Aiden was talking in video call with Derek and Robert, heard the

scream, and ran without caring for the people on the video call. Derek

and Robert wanted to strangle him; this was the second time Aiden left

halfway.

Aiden reached there in no time when she looked at Kate's helpless

face. He understood it’s about David. He ran inside. His assistant also

followed him inside.

They saw David was leaning against the sofa and his breathing speed

abnormally high; when he saw David's closed eyes, Aiden thought

David fainted. Still, he touched David, he snapped open his eyes and

looked at him “she is not well, bring her here,” David said in a low

voice.

Aiden nodded; he went back to Kate and held her arms; Kate walked to

David with Aiden’s help and sat beside David; she stroked his chest

and looked at Aiden. “he vomited blood, what's going on here? She

screamed at Aiden; she looked fierce.

Aiden sighed helplessly “not again, Second brother, now what? She

already with you, see she is talking and walking around, so what

triggered your emotional breakdown” Aiden was not asking; he

indirectly scolded David.

David glared at him “give me some water” David tried to sound calm;

Aiden’s assistant poured water on the glass and handed him the glass;

they thought he was thirsty and needed water.
