Chapter 570 - I never needed...!!!

“You knew I would die without you, yet you tried to be a dragon queen

and follow them at your will. Where was your care and love for me,

then?"

David ran his fingers through his hair and said impatiently.

Kate's mouth twisted, so her man was resentful again.

Kate clutched his neck. David didn't hug her back this time; he kept

holding her with an expressionless face. Kate felt a little hurt.

But not because of his reaction. Instead, she felt hurt for him. She felt

like she had hurt him really badly.

“Darling, I know I did something wrong, but if they took Daniel without

me, we don't know if you could've taken him back or not.

We would have lived in guilt if that had happened. I didn't want that to

happen but believe me, you stayed and will stay in my heart before

anyone, even our children.”

Kate knew how she would coax the big boy if she became angry like

him.

David felt his heart melt, but he kept silent because sometimes, some

pain was too painful that no one could easily overcome.

Even though David was not angry or hurt because of her actions, the

separation from her caused him great hurt that could only heal from

love and time.

And what he needs now is both.

It just took 20 minutes before they entered the city. David brought her to

the secret villa where he stayed these days,

Kate looked around. She was not happy to be there; she just wanted to

leave for their home as soon as possible.

"Darling, why are we here? Kate asked David, carrying her in his arms.

Even though she tried to get down, he didn't let her be, even rolling his

eyes at her.

Kate was speechless, so she decided to be a cute bunny and do as he

wanted.

"We'll stay here for now," David whispered. Even though he was

sulking, he didn't even have any impatience toward her.

Otherwise, besides his childish behavior, he was barely holding himself

back from loving her madly.

Kate knew that he was staring at her as if he would put her in his mouth

anytime and eat her immediately.

“No, I want to go home. I miss Devin and Destiny. I miss our home; I

miss our bed." Kate didn't know this would cause her to suffer greatly

when the time came.

David looked at her with an instance of glare. "You miss everything but

didn't say you miss me?" David asked her as if she dared to say she

didn't. He would punish her on the spot.

Kate let out an awkward smile. She was already with him. She could

look at him all she wanted, but she didn't see Devin and Destiny for

months. How could she not miss them?

But she was not brave enough to say this, "Darling, I miss you as much

as the sea has water in it. I miss you more than the earth has oxygen."

Kate said with a sincere smile. When David heard her heart-melting

words, his heart warmed up; he missed her even more.

He couldn't help but lower his head and kiss her sexy cherry lips. He

kissed her again and again until he was satisfied with his art.

Kate smiled sweetly after getting such a reaction from him, but who

knew happiness would last for a second?

"don't be too happy; I feel like kissing your lips. What does it have to do

with you?" David said with no expression. Kate was speechless.

David walked inside the villa; he put her on the couch and took Daniel

from her.

He sat beside her and hugged his son. Finally, the little boy looked at

his father and bubbled something in his unknown language.

David's heart was in his throat, and Kate leaned against him and

hugged his waist.

David kept looking at his son. He couldn't get over the guilt he was

feeling for his son and his wife. They had to suffer because he couldn't

protect them.

Looking closely, David saw something on Daniel's face. "What

happened to his face?"

David saw his son's flawless face was now filled with fading scars.

Rage rose in his heart. His little moon now had marks on him. How

could he not be angry and feel pain?

Kate cringed when she heard him. Tears fell when she remembered

how much her son had suffered when he was not with her.

"someone pinched his face. I tried to find out, but it seems that man

tried to protect that person, so he lied to me." Kate whispered, almost

gritting her teeth angrily.

When David heard it, he turned his face and looked at her face. "Do

you know who he is? David asked, feeling sour even in his lungs.

When Kate heard this question, she shook her head. "I don't know him,

but I feel familiar with the scar on his face,” Kate said after a thoughtful

second.

David sneered in his heart. Did she dare to think about this?

"Wow, I really can't believe my own eyes. I really didn't believe it when

Adam informed me. Now I do." A person entered full speed as if the

world had gone in the opposite direction.

When Kate heard a familiar voice, she turned her face and saw Robert.

She smiled. "Brother Robert." She called him.

Robert felt his eyes turn red. He was not like Adam, who would tear up

quickly, but at that moment, he couldn't stop his tears anymore.

He used to believe in love, but since Ashley left him in the past, he

never felt this so-called love word because he used to think this word

was too cheap.

But since the day he had seen how much David missed Kate and

suffered for her, he knew love was never cheap, but it has to be with

the right person.

“I thought you would return once we put our brother in a co..."

Robert couldn't help but stop midway because he found this too painful.

He tried to hide his tears when he saw David looking at him with a full

warning.

David knew he would surely spout nonsense if he opened his mouth

again.

David didn't want her to know the suffering he had all the time without

her. He didn't want her to know about his illness.

Robert stopped; he looked at Daniel, who was looking at his dad and

smiling sweetly, "Wow, my nephew."

Robert knew his limit. David would never allow anyone to show over

emotions toward Kate; he would be jealous, but showing love for Daniel

was okay.

David saw the chance and threw Daniel at him. "Call the doctor; let him

check on Daniel," David said to Robert.

He just wanted to ensure that Daniel was not shocked by the whole

process.

Robert nodded, but he was confused. But before he could ask, David

had already carried Kate and walked away from there. So Robert didn't

need to ask. He already got the answer.

David walked to the bedroom he had never used since the first day; all

the time, he was either in the meeting room or in the study room.

Most of the night he had spent in the medical room if he was out of

sense after vomiting blood.

Adam would send him to the emergency room since they had no

treatment for him, but they could do nothing about this.

Kate looked around. The room was too tidy to know that no one lived in

that room. "You never came to this room." Kate hugged his neck and

whispered in his ear.

David looked at her with a smile. "I never did because I never needed

to." David smiled bitterly; he never slept without the injection, so what

could he do to be here?

Kate looked into his eyes. "Darling, are you okay?" Kate asked

suddenly. She knew he was not okay, but something else was wrong

with him.
