The whispers in the morning...

I weaved my hands through his hair, slowly planting my lips on his forehead as I stared. Every inch of his face was perfect, every little, even the least obvious spot. My lips hunger for his, to make sweet love to them and take them to the world beyond. I never knew self restraint was going to be this hard... Oh, how I yearn...

Of lovers sleeping tight...

My hands itched, my body yearned to have him closer...closer...and even closer, just at his innocent gesture of arms wrapping protectively over me.

Are rolling by like thunder now...

It's only snow outside. Still..the thunders beats in my heart...

As I look in your eyes...

His eyes had fluttered close a long time ago. Yet, yet I still felt as if I was staring into them. Because the eyes are windows to your soul, and Stephano had willingly opened his for me. Not to peek, no, to intrude and stare all day,

I hold on to your whole body...

And accept the feeling of protection and assurance that you'll always be here. Even when, when I'm being a brat.

And feel each move you make...

Your taut, perfectly sculpted body against mine...perfect gestures screaming out the love and compassion you don't express in words.

Your voice is warm and tender...

Even when your eyes are the only ones conversing the message of your love.

Or is it love?

I do not know, for I think I love but have no idea what exactly people feel when they say they've fallen in-love.

I've not fallen.

I'm flying.

I never want to fall, for, what if you can't catch me? What if my heart indeed bleeds if you per adventure cease loving and don't catch me eventually?

Will you leave like my papa left? Will you leave like every other sappy romance, where mama never told me what happened to the heartbroken woman or man even after their lover returned? Did they really live happily ever after?

Aren't they mere tales?

Will I ever know that?

A love that I could not forsake...

Still, even with all unanswered questions, maybe it isn't so bad to give this feeling a chance.

What do you think?

Stephano’s POV

*

I straightened and picked my phone, mind still reeling from the kiss as I climbed down the stairs.  Even though it was almost thirty minutes ago, my lips were still tingling from the mouthwatering kiss we had shared earlier.

Kara was with her friend already and they were whispering and giggling. As if sensing my presence, Kara composed herself and covered her lovely exposed thighs from my hungry view, probably noticing my eyes on those sexy legs.

My breath hitched dramatically as I settled my eyes on her, taking in every inch of her body.

She was wearing a short sea blue dress, simple and elegant. I caught sight of the sparkling object on her ears and a small smile tugged at my lips. Was she trying to impress me by wearing the earrings I gave her as birthday presents earlier this year? A part of me knew Kara would never go to any length to impress anyone. She only wore whatever she would feel comfortable in.

Her raven dark hair was let down to cascade over her shoulders and her lips were coated in lipstick. Red. I loved seeing her in red, it drove me wild. Still... I did an eye roll. I didn’t understand women.

What was the need for wearing a lipstick when my tongue would be stuck down your throat the moment I get and I would be close to eating her full lips? I silently hoped she kept the lipstick container or whatever women called it inside her purse. Because I would be getting that lipstick off her the first moment I get a chance.

“Hello Mr. Stephano.” Kara’s best friend, Adrian greeted with a beam wider than my room. “Fancy seeing you again.”

I left the edge of the stairs where I was standing and moved into my large sitting room, trying my best not to slice her into two with my glares. She clutched Kara’s hand tightly as if she was restraining from doing something else and giggled at something Kara mumbled.

“Hello...” I eyed her, noticing Kara give me a look that said ‘tone it down with the laser beam’. “Merry Christmas.”

“Of course, Compliment of the season, Mr. Stephano! How is work?” Her smile widened.

“Fine, fine.” I gave her a small smile.

Work was going just well and I was about getting my reward for the hard work I’ve been actively involved in all morning before you interrupted us with your presence!

I pinched the bridge of my nose and brought out my phone to check on notifications. I knew Kara was waiting for Diego to send his address. She had told me after attending to her friend and telling me she needed to have another shower.

We could have showered together though... A billionaire has to save too sometimes. Save water, for instance.

My eyes slowly darted to Kara as I watched her with hooded eyes. What we would be doing now if not for her giggling, hyperactive friend though. She threw her head back and laughed freely at some stupid thing her friend had said, responding to it. Her neck was clear for my view, whispering to me like the voice of a witch; a seductive witch.

Calling out to me to come and lick it, eat it, bite on it and slowly caress it.

And I was entranced by the sight, my eyes slowly moving down to the valley of her full breasts — just enough for my large hands to cup and tweak. My eyes zoned on them. I should stop with these thoughts. They were slowly getting into my head.

“Can you stop calling him names?” Kara asked her friend.

“No. He’s a baboon butt.” She giggled and wiggled her brows.

Kara frowned. “It’s not funny.”

I didn’t really care what they were talking about but my driver was on his way home, so we were killing time by waiting for him to arrive though we would leave if they didn’t return on time. He had taken Natalie and Mimi out for shopping and Natalie would still be stopping at her friend, Geoffrey’s place. Kara would have followed them, but I had my ways of convincing Natalie that Kara was monitoring me for my doze completion.

And I had thought we would be alone for an hour or two, my lips with her more intimate ones. Bringing her the pleasure while she’d writhe and moan above me as I brought her to heights she never knew were in existence yet. Bringing her the pleasure she deserved. If only... I thought sourly.

Had Adrian waited for just another thirty minutes or one hour before making her arrival, I would have had my dessert by now. But she just had to interrupt us by coming just at the time I was pleasuring Kara in my room.

“—He’s trying to wreck my ship. I love hunky and you together.” Adrian rambled on. What was hunky? Never mind. Maybe she was talking about a game or makeup. It couldn’t be a story, since Kara didn’t like reading books much— especially novels.

As if Kara knew I was glaring at her friend, she looked my way and our eyes met. She gave me a pleading look, to stop glaring so much. A scowl replaced the glare, to show my disapproval at the turn of events. I’m so immature sometimes.

She pouted. Shit. Didn’t she know the effect that pout had on me?!

I looked away and adjusted in my seat while she looked back at Adrian. Why couldn’t she go to the meet up spot on her own and wait till we also got there before talking to Kara? I just couldn’t let it go, as childish as it seemed. Kara’s phone finally pinged.

“Stephano, I’ve gotten the address. Let’s go.” She got up and moved closer to me, adjusting the nonexistent ruffle on my shirt.

Her scent gave me this weird, calming effect. My nose enlarged for a second as I inhaled her scent greedily and not in the mood to caution my hands or actions, they wrapped around her waist firmly. Her friend was almost drooling as she watched us.

“Baby...” She stretched the word in a soft murmur, looking up at me. My heart did a sizzling jolt that had desire pulsing through my veins but I schooled my expression. “Please be nice, it was no one’s fault we got interrupted. I invited her myself.” She softly told me.

“Hmmm.” I grunted.

“Besides...” She opinionated but trailed off. She couldn’t meet my eyes.

I wanted to hear what she had to say, so I nudged my chin forward. “Say it.” My voice was an octave lower.

“We have tonight, tomorrow, this year, next year...” Her cheeks inflamed and she avoided my eyes once again, her breathing going a bit louder while I restrained myself from moving my hands lower to grab her butt cheeks and grind her against my suddenly hot, pulsing hardness.

My lips hungered so much for hers, it was shocking. Especially when I could see the line at the middle of her breasts from the V-neck dress as she exhaled slowly. Her chest rose and fell.

Those breasts were calling onto me to grab them and play with them but I knew I couldn’t. We were dressed to go out. Also we had company. I dragged my eyes back to her face. Her cheeks were now the shades of a tomato!

Was she having obscene thoughts of us being so intimate? The thought pleased me. Knowing she desired me just as much as I did her.  Before I could control it, a grin slipped onto my features. I was sure it was blinding.

“Okay.’ I finally mumbled. She didn’t need to know how excited I was at her statement.

Discomfort gripped me as I looked straight behind her, at her friend but it seemed she was in a trance; just looking ahead, a large grin on her face. She wasn’t looking at us but at me in particular. Her eyes were dreamy, as if her deepest wishes were being fulfilled. Does she like me? The question popped up in my head, disorienting my system for a second. Without thinking, my eyes narrowed into slits as I glared suspiciously at her again. Or maybe she was just lost in her own thoughts, since her eyes looked like they were glazed over.

Kara pulled out of my hold. “Let’s go. “Her friend went before us, the smile still present. My hand slowly moved to Kara’s butt and I grabbed one cheek. The softness of her backside would never not surprise me.

I kneaded it slowly, getting lost in the wicked act while her oblivious friend went before us. She slapped my hand away with narrowed eyes.

“Behave.” She scolded with a frown. I scowled but didn’t try that again even though those cheeks were soft and I wanted to knead them like dough.

Dough kneaded out of my love.

“Hey Kara, you came.”

“Yes. Merry Christmas and happy birthday.” Diego side hugged Kara with a beaming face and greeted me with a firm handshake. “Thank you Kara. I’m honored.” He spoke softly. Her friend waved a little at him, but they didn’t exchange any words.

“Follow me, our table is not on this floor.” He stated and we wordlessly did.

He engaged Kara in conversations till we got to the table. My eyes did a quick glance over the eatery. It was one of the biggest in town and their services must cost a bit of change. Still, I was glad he had invited Kara to a place that had class.

He called the waiter and had them take our orders. I ordered wine and a plate of chicken, for myself and Kara. She gave me a grateful smile at that.

The remaining two ordered as well. I didn’t miss the gesture Kara’s friend made and Kara hid her cheeks between her hands before dropping them and schooling her expressions.

“So, how is Lucas and Paul?” Diego asked Adrian who had been typing on her phone and giggling at it.

“They’re okay. Paul is in Scotland till the end of January while Lucas is at home. Waiting for me.” She smiled a little, sincerely. Kara wiggled her eyebrows this time. I just guessed Lucas would be her boyfriend while remembering Paul since he’d been to our place before.

“Uh, how’s work, boss?” He asked me with a small smile.

“Same old, same.” Surprisingly enough, he started asking me some questions about branding and tech companies, also talking about expansion. He shared experiences he gained from working with his father for several years and meeting so many famous business moguls.

My brows slightly furrowed in confusion. He had a great business sense and was smart. What was he doing in Italy, working under a departmental head in the tech department when he had a father who owned such a big company? He’d even mentioned the name twice, while lost in the conversation.

Olive-sources Company. They even had two branches here in Italy.

“What’s taking them so long?” Kara’s friend suddenly growled lowly.

“We came here to chat and celebrate with Diego. Not just stuff our noses with food and leave.” Kara glowered.

“Well, Princess Kara, sit your thick ass here while I go check on that hot shot that took our order. I’ll be back.” Kara didn’t have a thick ass. It was soft. The side of my lips quirked up in a smirk as I remembered fondling it.

Kara hissed. “Stop being so grumpy. The order will arrive anytime now.”

“I’m not grumpy, stupid.” She glared back at Kara and got up to leave. Just then, the attendant came with our orders. It hadn’t taken up to ten minutes since the attendant left so I didn’t know why she was upset. Then again she had been like that since we got here, compared to her chatty self in the car.

Even Kara didn’t talk to her much since. It was none of my business, but Kara’s countenance had also slipped into an irritated one, which displeased me. I checked my phone and sent her a message.

Stephano:~ *why is your friend cranky?*

Kara:~ *I don’t know. But don’t worry about it.* She gave me an assured look to prove her point. I shrugged.

I ate in silence. Kara was beside me and I occasionally helped her cut her chicken and fed her slowly, even though I knew she could handle it. After eating, the guy engaged us in talk about his old neighbor who always gave him cookies and some friends he just made from Kara’s university, since he sometimes went there to just hang out.

He then promised to pay us a visit before New Year, which was just a few days away. He had a smile on his face throughout, and his eyes never left Kara's for too long before he would look at her again.

“I have something to tell you Kara.” He finally said when we got out of the eatery.

Kara’s lips formed into an ‘o’ shape. “What’s that?”

“Uh, in private.”

“Oh. Okay. Stephano and Adrian, I’ll be with you guys in a while.” Kara pecked my chin and nodded at Diego but I sent her a look that had her halting before me.

“Can’t you tell her what it is here?” I demanded. I had slipped into my bossy and no-shit mode but I didn’t care. Seeing him look down at her so fondly made my blood boil at a low temperature and I didn’t care if I had made small talks with him or not.

“I don’t think you should take her anywhere.” I spoke, my voice void of any emotion, shutting out the rational part of me that reminded me that Kara wasn’t an object and she could very well take care of herself.

Kara placed a hand on my chest and laughed softly. “We’ll be out here, maybe standing behind his car.” She gave me a reassuring smile and I returned it with my own tight one.

“Pussy whipped.” Her friend coughed beside me. I smiled at her obvious declaration, yes. If it was Kara’s delicious pussy, then I would gladly be whipped. Only hers.

They stood there and spoke for some time while I and her friend decided to wait in my car. Adrian immediately got busy on her phone. Growing impatient because I had some files to go through this noon, I got out of my car and made for the spot they were standing.  My blood boiled at the sight.

Kara was slapping his shoulder and giggling at the guy while he was looking at her with that same fondness. He was fondling the beady stuff on his wrist, a boyish and careless smile dancing on his lips— probably trying to look sexy.

“I’ll go with your advise baby girl.” He finally said and nodded. Baby girl? Such a stupid endearment! I suddenly didn’t want her anywhere around him. Didn’t Kara see that this Diego guy liked her? What advice was she giving the motherfu- forget it.

“Kara.” I breathed in a needy tone which I loved using whenever I wanted her attention only on me. Selfish, yeah I know. My arm went around her waist immediately, already craving her warmth against my skin. She leaned into my touch, still cackling a bit. What did he say that was so funny? I bet it was a stupid, lame joke. I could do better.

Seriously? You’re jealous over a joke? My subconscious sneered at me. I shook the thought away, admitting to jealousy. Does she even slap my arm or shoulder playfully when I say something funny? I had to start saying funny things if she would laugh that much. The sound was refreshing.

“We’re done. Thank you Kara, your words were like a soothing balm to my wounds.” Diego’s face turned warm as he gave her a smile while I just stared at him in utter annoyance.

“You’re welcome. We’ll chat later.” They hugged shoulder to shoulder and he nodded at me. Adrian huffed behind us, having gotten out of the car a while ago. Kara had wanted to sit at the back with her when we were leaving home but I told her to stay by my side. Adrian was all too happy to sit alone at the back.

“Finally. I can go home to my baby.” She drawled.

“You could have left since, you know.” Kara replied with exaggerated nonchalance.

“I was not talking to you. I was talking to Hunk— Mr. Stephano.” I laughed a bit, enjoying their banter.

I ignited the engine and began driving, patting Kara’s left thigh a little and moving my hand back to the steering wheel. “Just call me Stephano.” I told Adrian.

Adrian’s eyes lit up. “Sure, Stephano.” I nodded at her through the rear mirror.

It was time to head back home. Home was where my heart was.

With my Kara, entangled in our love.
