Chapter 59

She Belongs To The Billionaire ✔

Kara’s POV

*

“Where else do you want to see Kara?” Stephano asked immediately we got into the car. The teasing glint in his eyes did not go unnoticed by me. I heaved a contented sigh and leaned up to wrap my hands around his neck and place a kiss there.

“We’ve been to the art galleries and toured the beautiful, busy streets. Where else could we possibly visit nearby?”

I leaned back into my seat and looked out of the car, at the various passersby.

We had arrived in Paris two days ago and Stephano had taken me to several places alone today, just like we had done yesterday. We’d been to The Louvre Museum early this morning and I finally saw famous artworks and masterpieces I had often heard about. I made sure to fawn over the famous Mona Lisa piece by Leonardo Da Vinci and painting of the Wedding Feast at Cana by Veronese.

We’d been to Club Barriere Paris and I loved the Casino. Their visitors aren’t allowed to dress inappropriately, the restaurant is very nice with great and delicious delicacies that’ll make the visitors come back for more and their bar is cool as well. I didn’t play, but Stephano joined to play poker and their other games.

“Today is all yours. This week, in fact. Just name the place and I’ll take you there.” He proudly told me. I stared right into his amazing orbs, conflicted for a second.

“That’s the thing Stephano. I didn’t do any research about tourist centers here because I was busy with creating resumes and sending out job applications to several companies.”

His eyes hardened. “I told you not do that. There are available slots-”

“In your company. I’m not going to apply for a job at your workplace, Mr. Stephano Alfonsi.”

“What’s wrong with that?” He looked beyond confused, it was interesting to watch.

“I don’t feel I should.”

He heaved a sigh and looked out, putting on his glasses that made him look even more attractive than I knew him to be.

“That is not a valid reason.” His voice was calmer now. Distant.

I eyed him warily, remembering Adrian’s advice about how I sometimes exaggerated and needed to explain myself instead of being adamant about certain issues.

“Stephano, look at me.”

He ignored me. Rolling my eyes, I leaned up and went over the console. I put my right hand into his black jacket, trailing it over his chiseled abs.

“Baby?” I whispered into his ear and slowly bit the tip of it. I rolled my tongue around his pinna and grazed my teeth against the skin softly, purring in delight when I felt him adjust a bit.

“What?” He rasped and cleared his throat, taking off his glasses.

“I’ll explain.” I sighed. “Just don’t look away from me, I love staring into your sea blue orbs as they shine with love for me.”

He chuckled but faced me so I leaned back into my seat once again. “When did you become a poet?” I stuck out my tongue at him childishly but then sobered up.

“The thing is-” I was saying when my stomach rumbled.

“Let’s go up for a bit and order room service. You better have a good reason for this job application stunt you’re pulling because I’m not going to let you off the hook.” He puckered his lips but all I felt like doing was squishing his cheeks and calling him adorable.

“I’ll tell you when we get into the elevator.” I promised.

I took in the elegance of the hotel were lodged as we walked in, the iconic Plaza Athénée. Even after seeing it repeatedly since we arrived, I couldn’t get enough of the artistic beauty identified with it. It was one of the biggest hotels in Paris and it sure measured up to the worth and popularity that came with it.

From our room, we could get a great view of the Eiffel Tower, with all its luxury and extravagance. Our room also has balcony view that offers the best view of the beautiful city. Lastly, their restaurant is exclusive.

Then we got to the elevator. Immediately Stephano pressed the floor we were heading, I began my story. “All my life, I’ve never really done much for me or for others. Your parents oversaw my schooling...then when I got to college, you started taking care of that. You’ve bought me clothes and I eat whatever is purchased from the supermarket...with your money. It’s always been you and your family.”

“What are you insinuating?” He asked with a confused expression.

“I’m not done Stephano. My first phone and the other three I got after that, you got them for me- though mama didn’t allow me use the first one. I don’t know what it feels like to do something for someone because-”

“You’ve done something for me. You gave me your heart.” He looked at me like I’d just insulted him, prompting an eye roll from me.

I narrowed my eyes at him. “That’s not what I mean. I want my own money. I want to work and earn. It felt blissful the first time I babysat for Adrian and she gave me some of the pay. It wasn’t about the money Stephano, no, it was more because I could do something for myself and earn for it. The feeling was out of this world.”

“Stop being a spoilt brat and quit complaining.”

“I am not being a spoilt brat. All I’m saying is that I need to get a job without your influence. Everything always comes from you and I need to prove to myself that I can do something so big like this on my own without anyone’s influence.”

He raised a brow. “You’re still not getting the point. So many people would be glad they had this opportunity....”

“I’m not so many people, young man!” I snapped. Why was he being so unreasonable despite the fact that I was desperately trying to explain things? He covered the distance between us, his eyes narrowed down at me.

“Did you just call me young man?” He clenched his jaws, one arm already going to grab my waist. I yelped in surprise, and then giggled to further irk him.

“Oops, my bad, old man.” I chuckled. His eyes darkened and his face turned blacker than the bottom of a pot.

“Oh no baby, you didn’t just call me old man. I’ll show you how old I can be.” He was already holding me at the nape of my neck.

Pressing his hot lips to mine, he sucked on them and moved one knee between my legs. I kissed him back and opened my mouth when his tongue pushed for entrance. Thank goodness I was wearing a black jumpsuit so I could easily part my legs open.

“Old man huh? Would he affect you like I do?” He looked down into my cleavage, eyes narrowed though I could see the obvious lust in them.

I licked my lower lip, still breathing hard due to his delicious assault. “I meant-”

“Zip it baby. I’m this close to losing it and taking you right here.” He clamped my mouth shut as he resumed his torturous kisses on my lips. I pulled back, panting for air.

“Stephano, were having a...ahn, heated argument...yes, there...” I panted, enjoying the sloppy kisses he dragged down my neck.

“I simply can’t get enough of you, baby.” He pressed the hold button and the elevator came to a halt. Pulling me closer to him, he brought one leg to one side of his waist and the other followed.

“This flimsy material is covering me from your beauty.” He groaned and rocked his hardness against my butt while my hands played with the soft hair on his head.

“Stephano...ahn…” I panted shamelessly. One hand slowly moved up my left breast.

Why did my man love boobies so much? All he needed was just a push in his direction and he’d be ready to suck on it or fondle me there.

“Come work for me baby.”

“You’ll always distract me, just like you’re doing now. You’re not playing fair.”

“We won’t see each other often, if you’re worried about that and I’ll maintain my policy of not allowing affairs between the employees, at least at the office.” His hand slowly fondled my nipple, his breath fanning my neck as he pressed me against the metal walls of the elevator. I gasped and arched my back.

“I just want you so close to me, to never let go of you. Haven’t I tried after waiting all these years? Fuck baby, answer me.”

I nodded. “You’ve have.”

“Then let me in. Let me have all of you and stop fighting me each time I try to. I know you’ve never had a man and I’m willing to be there all along the way. Lean on me baby, trust me. I’ll take care of you Kara, I promise.”

“I’ll think about it.” I bit on my lower lip. Noticing this, he reached up and pulled it from between my teeth with his right thumb then pulled the lip into his own mouth, sucking on it. I moaned at the erotic act, watching his every movement.

“I’m the only one allowed to suck on these lips.” He reached between my legs. “And the lower lips as well.” He smirked.

I blushed furiously and nodded, giggling to fight the shyness.

He put me down and adjusted my jumpsuit at the cleavage. It was from a thin strapped jumpsuit collection that Danielle recently sent to congratulate me on my graduation because she couldn’t make it. I and Adrian had the matching jumpsuits.

“We don’t want any man seeing this beauty exposed.” He winked after attentively dabbing a hand over my cleavage to prove his point. He pressed the button again and in no time, we were at our room.

“Have this water baby, then go take a shower.” He told me a few minutes after we settled in, moving away from the fridge. I thanked him and drank it up. The time read past one so I decided to read a book he had gotten for me and munch on the leftover fries we had this morning while he made a few calls.

I settled for a fantasy novel titled Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J. K. Rowling and I was beginning to love it. After Stephano told me he had read the Great Gatsby, I was intrigued that such a man with a busy schedule could find time to read and said I would try reading too and he immediately lent me the copies of his favorite book series, which was this Harry Potter collection.

I stripped out of my clothes and took a quick bath, eager to get my lazy butt into bed. Two pages into the book and I was out like a feather.

Stephano’s POV

*

“Are you sure she’ll love it?” I asked with a wide grin. My phone was raised up and Diego was accessing the doughnuts as I arranged them into the white carton.

My hands shook as I placed each and every one of them in the box, frowning when I realized I would have to carry it up to the room. I already contacted the hotel’s security team and asked them to record everything that would be taking place in a few minutes from now, though my heart was furiously beating in my chest. Would she like it? What would be her response? Was the placement of each doughnut okay?

“Yes, I’m very sure.” He assured me. I had called him on Facetime after making the doughnuts with the chef; just to be sure I was doing great.

“She better like it. If not, I’m going to kill you because you said it was good.” I told him playfully but blinked when I realized I actually meant every word.

“Chill man. Welcome to the family and you must take care of her, if not, I’ll come for you.” Diego told me with a bright smile but...was that tears I was seeing at the corner of his eyes?

“I’ll let you know how things go.”

“Make sure you record it. Adrian will kill me for not telling her.” He frowned.

“You can tell her. Or, shit no. What if she tells Kara?”

“I’ll tell her not to.” He replied thoughtfully and licked his lower lip.

I didn’t need to know how he was going to convince Adrian not to tell Kara of my plans but with the way he was looking at me, I wasn’t sure I wanted to know either.

“Later.” I ended the call and turned to face the Chef who had come to this city per my request and guided me in making the doughnut. “Thanks man. I have to go...my woman will be awake anytime now.”

He was a very famous chef in France and I had secretly ordered for his service. I took off the chef’s apron. He nodded, his eyes twinkling. “Good luck. I hope she says yes.”

I gave him a firm and confident handshake. “She will.”

I wasn’t sure myself but that didn’t mean I was going go doubt myself or Kara’s love for me. Kara was mine, had always been and will always be.

As I got into the hotel premises, most women were ogling me. They probably thought I was a hot delivery boy, their loss. Kara had me already. The thought filled me with familiar warmth. Kara, my love. She was my sun, she makes me shine brighter than the brightest stars. She completes me.

With her, I couldn’t feel any sort of doubt because I knew she had eyes only for me. The thought of her creamy legs wrapped around my waist had me tightening in my pants but I pushed that thought away.

I was proud of her, of myself, and of our relationship. We had come a long way. Throughout the elevator ride, I kept a smile on my face. When I faced the metal wall, I realized the smile was more of a contorted expression because I’d been smiling for so long and it now looked unattractive and forced. I looked like I was constipated so I let the smile slip.

My phone started ringing but I ignored it. Quickly, I set it on vibration mode when I saw I had ignored and missed fifteen calls from my mom, sister and Giuliano; then one from my dad. The phone had been ringing incessantly but I didn’t know that because I reduced the volume. I glared at the device. Only one person would have called and told them. Only him knew what I was about to do today. Benito.

“Son of a gun.” I muttered under my breath. I had called him to ask if he had any proposal ideas but when I thought about Kara and her personality, I realized I didn’t have to take her to any fancy diner or propose in a jet like he suggested. I felt for the small case at my back pocket and sighed. The ring was still there.

Unlocking the door, I looked around. “Stephano? Is that you?” Kara’s soft and beautiful voice called from the bathroom.

“Yes baby. I’m back.”

She hurried out just as I was placing the box on the table, a large pink robe around her. Her face was wet, so were her legs, meaning she’d just showered.

“Where were you? I woke up twenty minutes ago and found out I was alone. How long was I asleep? It’s four PM now.” She pouted.

Staring at her, my breath hitched. She looked breath taking. Then I grinned. Fuck, I full blown grinned at Kara. “I was uh...was out for a while.”

“Where?” She reached for the box but I found myself stopping her with an outstretched arm. “Uh...Stephano, are you okay?”

“Yes. I got us doughnut...just come here.” I cleared my throat. I pulled her towards the wardrobe where she hung our clothes. Picking a large shirt of mine, I tossed it at her. “Wear this.”

She took it and went into the en-suite, still looking at me strangely. When she came out, I already got the bottle of champagne and two glass cups out on the table beside the box.

“Come sit here baby...” I eyed her in my blue faded shirt. She looked better than I had or would ever look in that shirt, good enough to eat. The thought of us finally making love made my stomach clench with desire.

“I’m hungry.” She moaned in a rasped breath and sat on the chair, ready to eat. I eyed her with hooded eyes and swallowed. Oh I’m hungry too Kara, with desire for you. To have you panting as I take you to different worlds with each loving stroke.

I stared at her and watched every single emotion play on her beautiful face as she took a sip of her champagne drink. Fuck, I love this girl so much that it hurts. I picked the box for her, staring at her face as she leaned in opposite me.

She opened the cover. “I said where were yo-” she took a double take at the content in the white wide box. Looked at me, then looked at the box of pink flavored doughnut I had taken my time to make with the chef, then looked back at me again.

“Oh my goodness, Stephano?” She gasped. My heartbeat quickened. Inside the box, the doughnut I made was designed in a lovely way that after arranging each dough fried in bold letters, it formed: MARRY ME?

I nodded at her questioning gaze. I’d never been this anxious all my life. I was staring at her like a fool.

Then I went on one knee. “Kara, I know you probably didn’t expect things to be this way but neither did I. However, ever since I was thirteen and saw you walking down the stairs on your eighth birthday in this beautiful red gown that brought out your radiant, rosy cheeks, you flicked your long dark hair in this weird way and it just took my breath away. I was hooked. I thought about you, smiled more to the thought of you and....hell, living in the house with you around and just a few rooms away made things better. I have never loved someone as much as I love you. You make me crazy. You make me smile, you bring out the possessive and protective side I never knew I had. I don’t want to live without you baby because I can live with you, and I don’t even want to imagine me doing the former. Let me make you mine as you’ve made me yours all these years, Kara Sofia Wilson. Do me the honor of being the man you’ll spend the rest of your life with. Marry me, baby?”

I looked up at her and dropped the box of doughnut on the table. She stood up, looking sexy as hell as I fished for my ring and mentally slapped myself when I realized I should have brought it out before making the confession.

She shook her head and took a step back, her hands covering her mouth.

Puffing air out of my lips, I stared at her with wide eyes. She wasn’t going to reject me, was she? Because I wouldn’t let her ass stay an inch away from me. Sticking the ring down her finger sounded appealing, I thought, as I went into panic mode when she wasn’t speaking. But I knew it was wrong. I would get her consent or so help me God...

“Stephano...”

I looked up in disappointment, feeling my world crumble. Then she came at me and went on her knees, kissing me like her life depended on it.

“Yes! Yes! Of course I’ll marry you. Yes baby, I love you.” She started sobbing.

I caressed her hair on her back and tasted salt on my lips, blinking. I wore the ring on her fourth finger. It was a dazzling and unique square halo ring with a small diamond atop it and other tiny diamonds scattered around the band. It was small but classy, something I knew Kara would love.

In a flash, my arm tightened around her as she kept staring at the ring. “You almost gave me a heart attack baby.” I sulked.

She giggled and leaned back, looking into my eyes. “I’m sorry. I was talking but...only my lips were moving and no sound came out. I love you so damn much Stephano and I’d have said yes, regardless of my reaction. Finally.”

“Finally?” I arched a brow.

“Finally you’re all mine.” And she kissed me sweetly on the lips as I sat and stretched my two legs out. “When did you order the doughnut?”

“I made it when you were asleep. Are you impressed?” I asked cockily but she pressed her lips on mine, conveying her reaction at the thought that I made our proposal dough myself. It warmed my heart that she so much appreciated my gestures.

“I’m swooning over it.” She straddled me and held the nape of my neck, kissing me for dear life. While I wanted more than a kiss, I had to go and resolve the coverage at the security section so they would stop recording us. I pulled away and grinned from ear to ear, seeing her expression match mine. If it turned to a full on love making session, no one would be getting a view of her magnificent body except me.

Stephano Alfonsi.

The love of Kara Stephano Alfonsi’s life.

The one she was now engaged to. A smirk spread on my face as she pulled me in for another kiss.
