chapter 33

This chapter will be in narrative style.Ryan says bye to Angel and she leaves too and he goes to the courtyard.He stood there for few minutes until someone came and hugged him from back and was startled.It was Mia.“Hey Ryan! Sorry for coming late. And thanks for waiting for me” she said while blushing.“Uh…no problem…it’s just… I wanted to talk to you.” Said Ryan.‘OMG he is finally going to ask me out to be his girlfriend, yaaaaaaaaaayyyyy’ thought Mia.Little do people know that how destiny and fate changes the whole game, and that is what would happen over here too.“Go on ask me” said Mia.‘Ask her? Oh gooooodddness…. This is going to be more difficult than I thought.’ Thought Ryan.Ryan takes a deep sigh and continues to speak, “Uh Mia… I do have something to ask you and that is your forgiveness for what I say now.”“Forgiveness? What is it? I’m confused.” Mia asks.Ryan looks down and speaks, “To be honest this is very difficult for me to say this as I know how it feels to love someone and if it turns out to be one sided it hurts even more.”Mia just looks at him and keeps looking at him. She knows what is coming on her way now. Yet she stands there listening to him.Ryan continues, “You told me the other day that we should do more couple things and to be honest I was shaken after that. I knew you had feelings towards me but I didn’t know that they were getting stronger day by day, even when I had mentioned us just being friends.”“No matter what happens I just want to tell you that….that…” he takes a deep sigh and stops his sentence for a minute while yet looking down. She sees him distressed and didn’t speak a word yet.The usually bubbly and happy Mia and the person who was most excited a few minutes before had tears in her eyes which she made an excellent attempt in hiding.He then finally continues and says it, “I’m sorry Mia, you deserve a much better person who loves you and who you love… and I don’t know if you know it or not but I do that I don’t deserve you. I may be lucky enough to have your love but I don’t want you to suffer because of me. It is best for us now to not engage in activities that result in you growing fonder of me making you fall for me more. It would hurt me to see you in pain be it now or later. But it’s best that you be hurt now that suffer later. I don’t know if you know about me enough. But since we are talking and since we have become good friends over these few weeks and been out too, I guess you need to know that I don’t have any feelings towards you the way you do towards me.”“All I can do now is ask for your forgiveness and also whenever you feel you’re ready we can still be friends, only if you’re okay with it.” Said Ryan.There were few moments of silence.Ryan was still looking down and didn’t dare to look her in the eyes. Whereas Mia just kept looking at him.After few moments of silence, “You said that we shouldn’t do things that make me fall for you and yet you saying this straight forwardly made me fall for you even more.” Said Mia with a smile on her face.Ryan had a tear in his eyes, he didn’t expect such a response from Mia. He truly adored her for her gracefulness to accept this.“You can look up to me, friends speak freely remember. And yes I do know about you and Angel. It’s just that I thought it may not be true and maybe I had a chance. I was kind of prepared for it but tried every situation to avoid it. I guess we both knew we weren’t meant for each other… it’s just that you accepted it but it will take some time for me to accept it.” Said Mia.Ryan looked up to her and smiled at her.She had no tears now, she was smiling just like Ryan.“I’m sorry” said Ryan“You don’t have to be. I will always treasure this friendship and whatever had happened and will happen, even though if we aren’t together and yes we are friends no matter what.” Said Mia.They both hug each other and Ryan says, “Let’s go, I will drop you home.”“No, I actually had to meet someone for some class related stuff and they would meet me here so you carry on, I will see you later.” Said Mia.“Oh ok, bye Mia” said Ryan“Bye Ryan” said Mia.Ryan turned and left.Mia went and sat near the fountain and started crying.She kept on crying and crying, her all emotions that seemed to be in full control were now out of control and she couldn’t keep it in anymore.“I’m crazy to have believed all through this while that I could make Ryan fall for me. How could I be this stupid? I knew he likes someone else but yet I falling for him was the most stupid thing I have ever done.” Thought and said Mia out loudly as no one was around her.“He and I went out to the movies and had a great time, he tutored me and he asked me out for dinner and it was the most wonderful thing I have ever felt. Yet…. Yet…UUGGGHHHHGGHG” said Mia infuriatingly while hitting the seat with her fist.“I so wish this wouldn’t have happened…” said Mia.She looks down and covers her face with her hand.Her tears still kept flowing and she couldn’t control it.She had lost all the strength to fight against her own heart and mind.She was tired and it had been half an hour. Her eyes were puffy and her mind was blank.She sat there while the cool breeze was touching her hand and a bit on her cheeks. It was about to rain too as the clouds had gathered to pour down as to calm the inner burns Mia was feeling.Meanwhile,Ryan said goodbye to Mia and left to go towards his car.He sits in the car and wonders and thinks as to how his conversation with Mia went and how she maturely handled the situation.“I’m so sorry Mia, I wish that you would have not fallen for me or I wouldn’t have fallen for Angel… it breaks my heart to see you in pain. I know you did say you’re fine and all but we too have been friends for few weeks and I could see how you were holding back your tears. To be honest, I wish I could do something about it, I wish you get someone who loves you enough as much as you deserve and you love him too.”He continues speaking to himself while driving, “I so wish for you to be fine… I didn’t want to hurt you Mia and I’m so sorry for that but its best for both of us to not indulge in something like this… where I continue to have feelings for someone else while you have feelings for me.”“That would kind of result in a bad relationship and I do not wish for that.” said Ryan.He continues about Mia for few minutes and in the end says, “I wish Mia to get the person who would be madly in love with her and she falls for him too.”That is when a lightning struck.“I guess it’s going to rain soon” said Ryan.After few minutes rain had begun and the few moments of silence in the car, was filled with pitter patter raindrops and the sound of wipers.When finally Ryan broke the silence by taking a deep sigh and saying, “Finally I’m forced to accept the truth, no matter what I say, I’m not over you…”He quietly continues to drive when he gets a message on his phone. It was a signal so he opens up his phone to see who it was.Reading the messenger’s name brought a smile of his sad and tired face.He quickly opens up the text to see and the message read: “Hey Ryan! Can you please pick me up from my home?”He quickly sent a reply, “Sure, my princess. Be there in 15 minutes. Get ready”Once he sends the text, he turns his direction from his house to Angel’s house to pick Sarah up.After 20 minutes.He reaches and honks and Sarah comes out running while saying, “Bye sis, see you later” and come and hugs Ryan. As by that time Ryan had gotten out and hugged her back too.Rain had stopped in that area.They both get into the car and drove off.Unknown to them Angel was watching both of them and their bond and kept smiling and even rushed to go and meet Ryan but stood back due to her mixed emotions and the thought as to what would Ryan think.Meanwhile in the car, “Ryan lets go someplace nice.” Said Sarah.Sarah and Ryan would usually hang out often. More often than he would hang out with anyone else.Ryan really loved Sarah and vice-versa.They both reach a Chinese restaurant and order noodles and talk about everything and anything till the order comes in.Even after the order they both continue talking she talks about Angel, her plans for tomorrow, shopping and what happened at school and everything and Ryan keenly listens to her.After about an hour of eating and talking, Sarah said, “Ryan, there is something that I wanted to tell you for which I called you here.”“Go ahead my princess, you can tell me anything.” Said Ryan“It’s about Angel.” Said Sarah“What about her?” asked Ryan“On Saturday, Zach was…” Sarah hesitated to complete the sentence.“What about Zach?” questioned Ryan“Remember you and Angel both had taught me about Good touch and Bad touch?” said Sarah“Yeah! Did someone touched you in a bad way? Tell me and I won’t spare him.” Said Ryan in an angry tone.“No-No, not to me, but to Angel.” Said Sarah“WHAT? WHO? WHEN?” asked Ryan in a confused look to Sarah.“On Saturday, they both went on a date and when they came back, Zach went to her room and then I suddenly entered without knowing so Angel looked very scared and kind of pushed him to leave.” Said Sarah.“Hmm, well are you sure she didn’t want him there and pushed him? Did she say something like no? Or like stop it?” asked Ryan“Yes, she literally pushed him out and said that I wanted to talk to her and I also remember her saying something like, stop it babe.” Said Sarah.“Okay, don’t worry my princess. I will talk to her and always remember that I’m always going to be by both of yours side. No matter what, I will always protect you.” Said Ryan“Thank you and yes we both know it, that’s why she is more comfortable with you than she is with Zach.” Said Sarah.“Hmm, shall we go now?” asked Ryan“Yes, let’s go to the playground.” Said SarahRyan chuckles and nods and they both leave for the playground and after a while he drops her at her house.After that he continues to think while driving back to his car about Angel and how she behaved today could be because of Zach and what happened the other day.He thought to speak it out with her even though she said that this is between both of them.Meanwhile at school, Mia was still sitting at the courtyard near the fountain.Her tears were still pouring and her hand covered her face which was looking down when she heard a voice.“If you don’t mind, May I sit next to you?” said the voice.She looks up and nods in acceptance.Hey guys!!!“I wish Mia to get the person who would be madly in love with her and she falls for him too”Is this really going to happen? Who is the voice?
