chapter 5

Ryan's POVI was writing down my notes in Economics class when the bell rang which meant it was time to go home. I packed my bag and was heading out with Rhea who was in same class as me. We walked out of the class where we saw Max running towards us. He came and hugged Rhea and me.I was walking towards my locker when I saw Angel. She was laughing with Leah. Gosh she looks so adorable like a teddy bear. I was just smiling and looking at her when I was snapped into reality when Max smacked my head and he said "Don't act like a creep. It will draw her away." I sighed and nodded and closed my locker and we headed towards the parking lot.We were walking towards our car when I heard a sweet voice calling me. I turned around saw it was Angel. Her red hair was shining under the sun and her face was glowing which made her look more beautiful. I was jumping from inside but was calm from outside. I smiled at her and waved her.She too waved and came and handed me & Rhea a piece of paper. I opened and saw it was an invitation to her 18th birthday. She said "Ryan please do come and stay for longer. Also Rhea ensure that he doesn't leave early."I & Rhea laughed and said "Sure I will. After-all my best-friend is turning 18 and I wouldn't want to miss it." and winked at her. Rhea smacked my hand saying "Brother I will cage you this time if you try to leave the party early!" I glared at Rhea and Rhea started laughing. Angel started laughing too and smacked my hand and said "Rhea is right. If not her then I will cage you." I laughed and said "Alright I will stay for long."She was happy and started jumping around. I laughed at her and she came and hugged me. I felt a spark. The spark was so good that I wanted more of it but I had to control. I am her best-friend and I cannot ruin our friendship. I hugged her back but not too tight. I don't want her to have a wrong impression on me.She said "See you then Ryan and Rhea!"We both said "Bye Angel." and sat in the Rolls Royce.On our way home Rhea asked me "Brother, what gift will you be buying for her?" I said "I thought of surprising her with her favorite book and a private concert with Justin Bieber as you know we are friends with Justin and he is her favorite singer." I saw her looking at me in a love way which means I am gone.She said "Awww how cute! My baby brother has grown. And I wouldn't miss it. Aww how adorable it was." She pulled my cheeks and I groaned. I said "Anything to see her smile." Her face brightened up and had that look which means shopping time. Ugh I hate it when she shops for me. Rhea is a fashionista which means her clothes are up to fashion. I had no other choice but to let her choose clothes for me. I hated it but to be honest her choice is always good. I groaned and nodded and we reached home.We both went up towards our rooms and I went for a shower. After I was in my shorts and t shirt and I went down for lunch. I sat down on the dining table and my maid came up to me and served me lunch. I was eating when I saw Rhea going out.I asked "Where are you going?" She said "I am going with Angel and Leah for shopping. Do you want to come? And don't act like our dad with me."I looked at her with disappointment and said "I want you to be safe and no I don't want to come in girly shopping." She rolled her eyes and walked away. I sighed and continued to eat my lunch. After I ate I went up and did my homework. After that I went to my art room which was next to my room and started my painting.Today I wanted to paint my sweet Angel. I closed my eyes and saw her image. She was smiling while wearing a white gown which was her wedding dress. I saw her walking towards the aisle with her dad and I was waiting for her. We both said our vows and we kissed. While I was closing my eyes smiling I noticed rain when I opened my eyes and saw water had fallen on my t shirt. I sighed and got back to my painting.I was done with the painting. I looked at it and she was so beautiful. Her blue eyes were mesmerizing. The eye shadow made her blue eyes pop out. Her red hair was looking as beautiful as ever. Her skin so delicate that it would break once someone touches. Her red lips making it kissable. I painted leaves and few fruits to make her face pop out from painting. I said to her "I LOVE YOU."(Author :- THIS IS WHAT I FEEL THE PAINTING WOULD LOOK LIKE.)While I said it, Rhea & Max came and they both whistled that made me jump and drop my stuff. I shouted "At least knock or inform when you are inside." They both laughed and Max said "It is not our fault that we caught you talking to the painting." I blushed considering I was embarrassed and they both were laughing. Rhea said "You are so obsessed with her that even you have painted her and said I LOVE YOU." I sighed and started packing my things.While packing Rhea noticed my painting and her jaw dropped. She said "Brother this is amazing. You should gift this to her." I looked at her with sad face and said "She will think of me as creep." Rhea got shocked and smacked my head and said "You are not a creep. What is wrong when a best-friend paints other best-friend's pic for her birthday?"Max jumped in and said "I agree with Rhea, you should give her this. Also, please DO NOT help Zach this year for her birthday. By now he should remember her birthday and should have made a surprise."Rhea nodded and said "I agree with Max. Zach should plan something himself this year and not ask you for help. You always give the gifts you buy for her with heart and in end Zach gives it. How many times will you do this? And what if she finds out? She will be heartbroken."I sighed and said "I hope he would have planned something for her. Of course you both are right. Eventually she will find out but it's alright. I feel Zach will plan himself this time." and continued to pack the painting and kept it aside.Yes Max & Rhea were right, every year I help Zach to plan Angel's birthday and make it look like he did it which makes Angel love him. Yes, I do feel jealous and always wished to tell her that I did it but I stop myself since there will be two bad results: - 1. She will hate Zach and it would break her heart. I cannot see her heart breaking. I cannot see a single tear drop from her eye. 2. She would hate me for lying to her and it would make her distant from me forever and I cannot bear that. Plus I smile when I see her smiling face too. Her happiness is my happiness.But I do hope Zach has it planned out. I trust him and he would not fail this time. But one thing I don't understand is that if you do love a person you should remember all small details. I don't understand why Zach keeps on forgetting her birthday. Why does he run to me and ask for birthday plans? Why can't he do it himself as it is the responsibility of a boyfriend to keep his girlfriend happy and should remember all small things she likes & dislikes? I always had a feeling that Zach does not love her and doubted on him but the way I see it he does love her truly. He cares for her and those doubts I had fades away.  I always wished it was me with Angel but they say some wishes don't come true right.I was lost in thoughts when I heard a sound and saw it was Rhea. Rhea was snapping her fingers to bring me out from my thoughts and she said "Are you done zoning out? Let's go down." I sighed and left the art room with Max & Rhea.Rest of day went with talking to Max and Rhea. We had dinner and Max was preparing to leave for his home. He kissed Rhea and hugged me and left. It was night time which means tomorrow is school. I went to my room and packed my books according to the schedule. I set up my alarm and changed into my tracks.
