chapter 9

Ryan's POVAs I rushed upstairs, I saw that Angel had already opened the door of my room. I stood behind her and saw nothing. Phew! Felt relieved a bit. She went inside and scanned the room.She looked at me with her one eyebrow raised and asked “What’s wrong? Why are you looking tensed? What is over here that you didn’t want me to come up?”I stuttered “N-N-Nothing. Just….”Angel was looking at me with question mark on her face. She said “Just?? It was like if I come up here I would catch something…”I replied with an awkward laugh “Catch something?? HAHA, there is no funny business going on here.”Angel's face told me that she was not convinced by my answer. I was praying silently inside to help me. She then asked “Really? Are you sure?”I replied with hesitation “Yes. I am very sure”. I was sweating, I just hope she doesn't find ZachAngel shrugged and said  “Alright! Then I shall use your bathroom.”I got all more panicked and then screamed “NOOO!!!”Angel turned back and looked at me with confused face. She asked : “Why?”I said quietly “Just DON’T.”Angel then looked at me and smirked. She said “What is the matter Ryan? Something or someone special in that even I cannot go? You wait here, now I’m going to find out your little secret.” She winked at me and opened the washroom door and entered. I closed my eyes in fear of her catching Zach. After few seconds of silence she looks at me with a shocked face. I knew it was time and I was silently praying. Then she called out to me and started laughing. I was confused at the moment then she said “I found your secret”. I peeked inside to look and saw her laughing at the tub filled with bubbles and rose petals. I almost forgot that I did it in order to have a nice bath for an hour. But still it was a secret no one knew until Angel found out. I felt embarrassed and little red blush came on my cheeks.Angel laughed and said “Your bath tub full of essential oils, candles, rose petals and bubbles??? You should have told me you were going to do a bubble bath, I wouldn’t have disturbed you, I promise. ” She was still laughing and I laughed along.I laughed and said “Yeah! Nothing to scream and tell out loud I assume.”She was laughing a lot and I felt even more embarrassed. I stuttered and said "Heheh. U-U-H Please don't tell anyone. I-I feel relaxed like this."She laughed and said "Sure your secret is safe with me." and winked. I laughed along with her.As I walked in towards her I tripped on the mat outside the bathroom and onto her. Luckily, she held me in her arms while I was looking at her. Gosh she is so beautiful in the close up. I was wishing hoping we would kiss right now. Her blue eyes were shining in the light, her pink lips looking kissable. Not that I am a creep but she looks damn beautiful.  I looked towards her and she snapped me from my trance and laughed. Gosh her laugh is like a music I want to hear every single day. The music I want for the rest of my life. Only if she were mine. Angel laughed out loud and said “Shouldn’t this be the other way round when the girl trips and the guy holds her?” I started laughing too with her seeing the situation we are in. I quickly scanned the bathroom to check if Zach wasn’t here, but he wasn't so I felt relieved from inside.She pushed me up and I brushed my clothes. Angel looked at me with a grin and she smirked at me. I was feeling something strange inside me. The urge to hold her and kiss her. But I controlled myself. She smirked again and said “Hmm. For a second I thought you hid a girlfriend of yours in there and wanted to hide it from me.”After she said that it broke my heart. The girl I wanted to be with was right in front of me, we laugh and talk but I cannot hold her by my arms. I cannot kiss her. I cannot have her in the way I want. On top I’m here like an idiot helping her boyfriend to get the perfect gift for her. The boyfriend who doesn't even remember her birthday. She loves him and not me. Why can't she look at me like how she looks at Zach. I sighed and stared at the floors down. I guess Max and Rhea are right maybe once I should just tell her…NO! My mind says. My subconscious mind tells me not to tell her since she will be hurt. I shut my thoughts and gave a small chuckle at her. She smiled back at me. Gosh I will die like this. Her smile is the prettiest thing on her face. She looks even more beautiful with her smile.Before I could say anything, my phone buzzed I took it from my pocket and saw a message. It was from Zach – “Hey man!! Get her out of here. I’m still in the closet.” I read the message and said to Angel.“Anyways let’s go down.”Angel smiled and said “Ok. Let's go.”We went down and she was typing something on her phone. She then kept the phone in the purse and said “Rhea said she might be late she will catch up with me later. I better get going.” I felt sad inside. I didn't want her to go but she had to since she has to prepare for her birthday. I smiled little and said “Cool, bye.”She hugged me and “Bye!!”. I felt that spark again. I wanted more of it but my mind pulled me back. I hugged her back too.I watched her leaving and it made me feel horrible. It was like watching her leave from my life and I wished that never ever happens. I sigh and closed the door. That is when Zach comes down and says “Hey I have lost enough time in all of this. Just get the gift and I will leave.”Me: “SURE.” It made me angry yet I did what was required. I came down and gave him the gifts. He smiled while looking at the wrapped gift and said “Thanks Bro! You are the best! By the way what were you two up to in the bathroom?”I replied to him with confidence “Nothing, I just tripped and she caught me.” It was the truth though.Zach looked at me with one eyebrow raised. He asked “Hmm, you sure nothing else happened?”I replied while rolling my eyes “Yeah”.Zach sighed and said “Whatever! Next time don’t try to do what you were doing again.”I said nothing to it. But anger was developing inside me. I told him nothing happened still he said this. What does he think of himself? Some model? What an asshole! He doesn't get a gift for her and then he says this. He looked at me then burst out laughing. I was looking at him with confused face.He laughed and said "Kidding. I know you won't do anything to her." I was feeling annoyed inside. Asshole how dare he thinks of me as a jerk.I laughed too not letting him know I was angry. I said "Yep bro!"Zach said “Anyways, thanks for the gift again. Bye” He smiled at me and said "You are the best bro!"I smiled and replied to him “You’re welcome. Bye” and we fist bumped.He left and I shut the door behind him. I sighed and went upstairs. While going up I heard Rhea’s door open, I went towards her room and I freaked out. Rhea was sitting here the whole time! I was shocked and a she was giving me a death glare. I knew where this is gonna go. I was still in shock and blurted “What? Why? How?”Rhea said in an annoyed tone “I was in the room for the whole time. I lied to her saying I was out. I wanted to show Angel how Zach is. But you like an idiot didn't let me succeed my plan."I was dumbfounded by what she just said. Exposing Zach? Why would she do that?Rhea again said in annoyed tone “Are you for real? She was right there and you couldn’t tell her or at least reveal Zach?”I held my fists tight and gritted my teeth and said “Did you text her on purpose?”Rhea shouted “Did you not hear me?”I raised my voice little and said in angry tone “ I said Did you TEXT her on PURPOSE? "Rhea crossed her hands and rolled her eyes and said “Yes I did." God I wanted to yell now. She then said "Now answer me.”I yelled at her “YES YOU MAY THINK OF ME AS AN IDIOT BUT WHAT WHERE YOU FUCKING TRYING TO DO?"Rhea yelled back “FOR YOU TO TELL HER YOUR FEELINGS AND REVEALING ZACH."I yelled again “DID YOU EVEN CONSIDERED THE OUTCOME OF IT?"Rhea was shocked by it. She raised her eyebrow and said “What do you mean by that?”I shouted “What you did and what would have happened after that do you think our best-friend would be ok?”Rhea stood silent. She was about to cry but I stopped her by hugging her. She too hugged me back. I sighed  while hugging her and said “Look Rhea, as much as you want me to tell her I do too but she won’t come hugging me. She would hate me as well as Zach. I cannot live with her hating me. So it is better we don’t tell until she realizes herself. Maybe at that time she might not hate me.”Rhea was silent for the moment. I pulled her back and she was looking sad.Rhea looked down to the floor and said in concerned tone “Look I’m sorry I didn’t mean to do that. I was just looking out for you.” I smiled at her and said “I know and I love you for that but please to care about me don’t hurt the person I care about the most. I cannot see her hurt and hate us for this."Rhea smiled back and said “I won’t, I promise.” We both hugged each other and went downstairs. We enjoyed the rest of the day by fighting and teasing each other. I told her that Justin will be coming tomorrow so that she could stall Angel while I sneak him inside the hotel. She nodded and we talked the rest of the day.The package arrived in the evening and I went up to pack it. I hope she likes my surprise as well as the bracelet.
