"Like, you're being really weird." I said to Kiari as he was in his car and we were on facetime.

"Like, how am I being weird?" He was trying to mock me making me mug him.

"You haven't talked to me all day then you suddenly called talking about some you're picking me so we can go to my sister's birthday..like that's weird." I said to him.

Today was my sister birthday and really I just been out all day, running errands than picking up her gifts and Kiari was also going because she invited him as well but I figured he wasn't going anymore because he barely spoke to me today other than a goodmorning text.

"Because I been busy..doing something. But I'll be at your house in ten Riani, bye." He hangs up making me roll my eyes.

I finished straightening my hair and I was wearing a cute gray skims dress with some gray and white christian dior slides with the matching purse.

We weren't staying for too long for real, I just also wanted to see my family. She was going to have a little party at our house with family and her friends then after that, our family was going to leave and she was going to have a slumber party with her friends. I thought it was cute.

I throw on a cardigan just cause it was a little chilly but it's coming off when I get to my parent's house.

I got a text from Kiari of him saying he was outside so i make my way outside.

I see him in his car so I get in trying to act like I had an attitude. I didn't forreal but I just wanted to mess with him.

"What you mad bout now Riani." He says as I just scrolled on my phone.

"I did something? What I do?" He asked.

"Nigga you barely talked to me today and ignored my texts."

"Ohh. You missed me?" He smirks and I roll my eyes.

"Im kidding. I know I did and I'm sorry for that." He apologizes.

"So why you did it then." I raise my brow.

"Because I been trying to do something for you and I'm about to show you, but you got to kill your attitude." He says making me skeptically look at him.

"Please? I want you to be happy when I show you." He kisses my lips making me smile.

"Ok fine. It better be good too." I said and he smiles.

"Close your eyes beautiful." He says and I put my hands over my eyes then I hear some shuffling.

"Open." He says and he was holding a big bouquet of pink Venus et fleur flowers, a black box and a Dior bag.

"Awnnn. These are so pretty." I take the flowers from him even though I was confused.

"I'm confused though. Why you buy me these expensive ass flowers and Dior? I didn't do anything." I asked confused.

"Open the box." He hands me it and I glance over at him but open the box.

I widened my eyes as I read what was inside before looking up at him and he was holding a pretty double heart shaped ring as one heart was a little smaller than the other one. I read the note that was in his hand, next to the ring.

"A special gift for my favorite girl. This is me promising to be by your side for every moment, good and bad and obstacle there is with you forever. Will you finally be my girlfriend until I make you my finance?"

The note read and my mouth just dropped.

"So, will you be my girlfriend beautiful? I tried to wait because I didn't know if I was moving to fast or to slow..but I also didn't want to wait for to long because..yeah" He just starts rambling and I just nod with a wide smile on my face.

"Yes, yes, and yes." I jump on him hugging him making him laugh.

"Good. Let me put the ring on you." He takes my finger and slides the ring on there.

"Where did you get it from?" I ask, hoping it wasn't too expensive.

"My jeweler made it. You don't see your name engraved on the inside?" He asked and I shook my head before looking.

"This is so sweet of you oh my..you didn't even have to spend that type of money on me." I start kissing him and he kisses me back.

When he pulls back I grab my phone and start taking pictures of me with my ring and my flowers and he was just staring at me smiling.

"Be in my picture." I sat the flowers aside and he nods taking pictures with me.

"Send me them." He says as I show him them.

"Can I post them?" He then asks me since we never posted each other.

"You can if I can post mines." I shrug.

"Now what's in this dior bag." I smile opening the bag up making him laugh.

"You were on me about being nervous to meet your mom but you look nervous there yourself." I looked over at him as I was about to knock on the door to my house but I stopped to make sure he was good.

"I'm not nervous? I'm coolin." He shrugged and I slowly nodded and knocked on the door.

"You sure they chill peoples though?" He immediately said after making me huff and look over at him.

"I told you that there chill- Rianiii." My sister opened the door and immediately hugged me.

"Hey girl. Happy birthday." I laughed, hugging her back.

"Wassup, happy birthday." Kiari greets my sister than hands her the present that he brought her.

"Thanks guyss, now come in it's chilly." She rushes us to come in so we did and I hung my cardigan up before walking further in and instantly getting hit with the smell of fried chicken, baked chicken, ribs, baked Mac and cheese, garlic mashed potatoes, and a whole lot of other stuff and it damn sure smelt good as hell.

One thing about my family is that they can COOK! Just don't ask me to make shit cause I very much can't.

Walking further in, I saw my family and also some of Anna's friends.

The house was decorated nicely in baby pink and white decor. The dining room area was also set up nicely as it had the rack where her and her friends matching pjs were at and her cake and stuff.

"Hey mom." I immediately hugged my mom once I saw her.

"Hey baby." My mom smiled hugging me back.

Once I let go she saw Kiari awkwardly standing next to me as he was just looking around with his hands in his pockets.

"And you must be Riani's boyfriend right? I heard a lot about you." She smiles at him making me look away because she may or may not already know that he's my boyfriend because I maybe been telling her that he was when he wasn't at the time but anyway..

Kiari glances over at me before smiling back at my mom and shaking her hand. "Yes and I hope it was good things." He said making her laugh.

"Mmm it sure was. You are a very handsome young man it's great to see you in person. What is your name?"

"Thank you and my name is Kiari." He said back.

"Well I am Adrianna. It was good meeting you." She said.

"Where's dad at?" I ask because I already know his Jamaican ass gone do the most.

"He's outside with your grandad. He should be coming in...oh welp." My mom shrugs as he was walking up to us.

"Hey princess." My dad smiles hugging me and I hug him back.

"Hey dad." I said and just then he saw Kiari making him raise a brow.

"Aye, who's this?" My asks making me side eye him cause he knows damn well who he is.

"I'm Riani's boyfriend, Kiari." He tries to dab my dad up and he looks at his hand before slowly nodding and shaking his hand.

"How long y'all been together? What you do for work? How old are you? And What are your intentions with my daughter?" My dad immediately says making Kiari slightly widen his eyes, catching him off guard but me and my mom already saw it coming.

"Dad he is not about to answer all of tha- we just got together but I'm planning on being with her forever, I run my own business and planning on graduating, I'm twenty one, and my intentions with your daughter is to treat her right, always be by her side, and to marry her when we are of age." Kiari cuts me off.

My dad leans on the counter and looks him up and down before nodding. "My name is Reid. Nice to meet you." My dad said making Kiari smile. "Nice to meet you too." He said back.

Me and my mom just looked at each other before shaking our head.

My sister then walked up to us with a smile. "Dad can you pleaseeee let my boyfriend come over. He doesn't even have to stay for the sleepover just please let him come over for a few hours." My sister asks and my dad raised a brow.

"First of all you don't have a boyfriend, you like ten. And second you're not even allowed to have a boyfriend. Riani isn't even allowed to have a boyfriend so what is going on?" My dad makes a genuinely confused face making me look at him with a confused look as well cause baby I'm grown.

"Dad I'm literally in highschool, pleaseee." She asks but my dad just walks off making me try not to laugh.

"Mom. Can he please come over for just a few hours." Riani asks our mom.

"Now you know I don't care. But if you get in trouble by your father then that's on you." My mom shrugs making her smile and immediately start calling him.

It's been a few hours and everything been going great. We ate, Kiari is getting along great with my parents as he was even talking and laughing with my dad right now as we speak while eating the cake that was cut.

Anna opened her presents and i had got her some lulu pieces, shoes, jewelry and money and Kiari even got her some cute pink rick owen shoes and a pretty gold pandora bracelet and ring. I thought it was nice of him because he really doesn't even have to spend that type of money on us but does anyway.

Riani and her friends were now changed in there matching pjs as they were getting ready for the sleepover part and everyone was starting to head out. But Riani was showing me her birthday pictures that she posted earlier and she looked real cute with her middle part sewin with blonde highlights.

"You looked real cute." I smile, swiping through the pictures.

"Yes like at first I thought I would to childish with my pigtails but it's actually cute." Anna said and I nodded in agreement.

Just then, Reece came over to us with his keys in his hand. "Riani, do you mind riding with me somewhere real quick? We'll be back in like ten." He said making me look over at Kiari who Riani was now showing her birthday pictures to.

Everyone was gone and the only people who was here was just her friends, and my mom and dad who were upstairs.

"You mind if I leave?" I stood up, grabbing my purse.

"Don't worry, Kiari is in good hands." Riani smiled making Kiari raise a brow.

"Me in good hands? I'm the adult so you're the one in good hands." Kiari said to her and she just waved him off making me laugh.

"I'll be back yall, bye." I said and then I got in the car with Reece and I immediately side eyed him.

"I still don't even like you so were we going?" I said making him smack his teeth as he pulls off.

He ignored me so the car went quiet for some time as I just scrolled and then he finally said something.

"I hope you know I really am sorry for lying to you." Reece said. He apologized so many times and I did forgive him, I just still like messing with him over it.

"I been forgave you, but book me a hair appointment and I'll forgive you even more." I winked at him making him laugh and he looked over at me.

"Bra your hair good. It look fresh too."

"Ok? A month in advance appointment duh." I said making him chuckle.

"Ok Riani. But I also wanted to talk to you about you and Kiari, just being the big brother that I am." He shrugged.

"How long yall been together?" Reece asks.

"We been talking for like a month now but we just got together though. But I really like him. Even though he be doing some dumb shit ass shit, it still doesn't change my feelings for him." I said honestly and Reece nodded.

"Both yall niggas just sound in love." Reece shook his head making me laugh.

"Why people keep saying that? If I just told you that we just got together then why you talking about love already? We didn't get that far now." I said making Reece side eye me.

"It took me less than a month to tell Jenny that I loved her, but aye yall still young so Ian gone speak for yall. But I just wanted to say that I like yall little relationship. I see the way he talks about you and the way you talk about him and I just hope nothing comes between yall relationship." Reece said making me smile.

"Now Anna ass? I found out about her little "relationship" cause why his ass pulled up to the house and I had to run that nigga away? Who Anna think she is." Reece had a genuinely confused look on his face making me laugh.

"It's her first year of highschool, yall need to let that girl liveee. Yall know she never once told us about a boy so that means she really likes him. And it's not like Anna is fast with no boys either so just let her enjoy her little relationship." I shrugged.

"She can enjoy that relationship far way from me." Reece said.
