Epilogue

4 years later.

Brooklyn, New York.

I stared at myself in the long and wide body mirror as I looked over me, my body and my outfit..

I had on a light beat of makeup and natural looking lashes, the dark bottom mascara on my eyes making my light brown eyes pop. I had on a dark red silk thin strapped dress on and red heels as I also had on many gold jewelry with a gold purse to complete the look. I had a middle part sew in that had layers and light curls. My medium gold charmed french tip nails holding the bump of my belly.

I looked some more in the mirror before smiling. I felt beautiful. Something I hadn't felt in some time since I've been pregnant.

I was 7 months pregnant and it's been one hell of a ride. I've been gaining weight and my face was starting to puff up...I just didn't feel like myself.

I missed my skinnier body and face and prayed that after I give birth, it would snap back.

I run over my belly before looking over at the New York City from the tall window of my room. Me and Kiari moved to newyork after he got drafted because it was closer to his games. The day that he got drafted was one of the best days. He was so happy and I felt so proud of him. He graduated college then right after, he got drafted.

I heard a buzz come from my phone making me grab it and saw it was a text from Kiari. He was telling me to come outside making me smile. I don't know what Kiari had planned today but it had to be special. I haven't had my hair, nails, and makeup done in months because I just didn't have the energy to but earlier this morning, he randomly told me that he booked all of that and got me a dress and heels.

I was happy though. At first I didn't want to do all of that especially without him telling me why I just went through with it and I'm glad that I did because I felt beautiful for the first time in a while.

I walked out of the room and my body guard, Marcus came over to me. "Do you need help?" He asks and I nod so he helps me down the steps.

He opens the door for me and I saw a large black limo infront of the house making me smile. What in the hell do he got planned now...

Marcus opens the car door for me and once I got in I saw a big heart dark red shaped venusetfluer roses and a note making me smile. He gets me so much flowers that I literally have a whole room in the penthouse with just flowers because most of them be just because flowers and i thought it was just so sweet because I lovedd flowers.

I took a few pictures with the roses.

About ten minutes later, we arrived and I was a little confused because what the little to what I could see from the black tinted windows, it looked like a plain building in the city of newyork.

The door suddenly opened and there Kiari stood with his freshly retwisted and hair cute dreads. He had two strand twist in but took them out so now they were curly. He had on a long sleeve black button up shirt with black dress pants. A gold chain on his neck, gold rings, and a Rolex on his wrist. He looked so good. He was just aging to look even finer as the days passed by.

"You so beautiful baby." Kiari smiled as he gently took my hand to get out of the car. His eyes "shimmered" as he look me from to bottom like I was the most beautiful woman he's ever saw.

I giggle. "Thank you handsome." I hug him, smelling his cologne.

"Now what are you doing? You just booking all this stuff and I'm as confused as ever."

"It's a surprise ma. Just come on." He held my hand and took me inside the building before turning to me.

"You got to close your eyes though." He grinned.

"Close my eyes? I have a fresh set on, boo." I mugged him making him chuckle.

He just stood behind me and put his hands over my eyes but not on my lashes, as we stepped in an elevator.

"You gone really cover my eyes while we're in an elevator?" I huff and he just ignores me but I could feel his smile behind me.

The door then opened and we carefully stepped out before he uncovered my eyes and I immediately widened my eyes once I saw my family and Kiaris making me immediately go to hug them. I haven't seen any of them in monthssss because it's been hard since we're so far away and then our work, so it's just been a lot.

Reece was there, Anna who was now ninteen, my mom, my dad, Jenny, my niece who was now five, Kam, Isaiah, Amir and than Kiari mom was all here and I just felt overjoyed as everyone hugged me.

Just then they started recording making my face turn to confusion and I finally turned around and my eyes widened as I saw all of the decor that I somehow missed when I saw my family and friends.

"Oh my gosh..." I trail off as I slowly walked over to Kiari and him with a smile, got on one knee.

"It's been four years too long and we been through a lot together. You held me down and never left my side. Even when things got shaky with me getting drafted and our time together started to fade away with not seeing eachother from all the games, our agruments..and everything else your still here with me. So..Riani Nalani Brown..will you marry me." He opened the box to one of the most beautiful rings I've ever saw.

"Oh my gosh...yes, yes of course." I smile so wide and he smiles as well and slides the ring on my finger as everyone started clapping and congratulating us. He stood up and gave me one of the biggest hugs.

"I love you so much baby." he whispered to me and I felt just tears immediately running down my face.

"Oh my, bestie your makeup." Kam immediately starts wiping my tears with a tissue making us laugh.

I saw a photography crew that Kiari hired, taking pictures as they must of been taking pictures the whole time.

"Oh my..he's kicking." I hold my belly and Kiari smiles and rubs my tummy. "Guess he's happy to, ain't that right Rakai." Kiari starts talking to my tummy making me laugh.

I loved his name because I thought it was the closets to both me and Kiaris name together, without the name looking a hot ass mess.

We were now eating as Kiari also rented out the whole damn restaurant. He proposed on the rooftop of it.

"These are really so cute on you." I gush to Anna as she had some pretty but small Alicia key braids and they were long with boho. These were the braids that I wanted for my labor and Anna looked beautiful in them.

"Thank you. I really love your whole outfit though. Like you look tea, let me take a picture." She immediately takes her phone out and starts taking pictures of me making me laugh.

"Congratulations." Anna's boyfriend came up to me making me smile. Anna and Her boyfriend indeed did last which was so cute to me. They were highschool sweethearts as they were now in there first year of college and going strong.

"I didn't even know you were here. Thank you." I stood up to hug him.

"No problem." He gave a sweet smile before sitting next to Anna.

I waddle over to where Kiari was talking to my parents and his parents.

"Awn look at you. Pregnancy looks so beautiful on you." Kiaris mom said and they all agreed making me smile.

"I tell her that everyday. Pregnancy has my wife glowing." Kiari said making us laugh.

"Thank you guys. I really appreciate it." I said to them.

I then went back over to the tables and talked with Kam, Isaiah and them. It felt nice to talk to them in person then over the phone all of the time.

"So how long are y'all staying for?" I asked.

"Ask Kiari." Kam shrugged and just then he walked over to us.

"Ask me what?" Kiari said sitting down then pulling me on his lap by my waist. I didn't even like sitting on his lap anymore because I felt heavy then I use to. I gained weight so I thought Kiari thinks I'm heavy now. I looked over at him and he didn't show it. His hands were over my pregnant tummy and his head in my shoulder like normal. He's probably just faking it.

This pregnancy just really had me in my feelings a lot and overthinking so much for what?

"How long we all staying for." Kam said.

"However long y'all want. It don't matter, I'll book yall plane back whenever yall feel like it." Kiari shrugs and pulls me closer to him.

One thing after we started dating was that Kiari gotten realll clingy. He acted like he had to be in my skin every single day and if he not then he does the most.

Like right now..he's secretly kissing on my neck since every where was in their own conversation and paying us no mind.

"Kiari." I laughed, pushing him away making him smile.

"I love you." He mumbled making me smile. "I love you too." I kiss him.
