Friends, please go and read Hired Fiance as it is one book which is different from all my books till now. IÂ took 2 to 3 times of the usual time I take to write every chapter. It has mystery, second chance, betrayal... It is romantic, sensuous, hot steamy.
And you can read it for free. What are you waiting for??

Roohi's POV
Next week, One of the seniors threw a party to celebrate finishing finals, and Vihan insisted we all go.
âCome on, Roohi. Live a little,â he said, dragging me away from my textbooks.
The party was loud and chaotic, and Vihan immediately disappeared into the crowd. I found Mihir, who was having a mojito and rolling his eyes.
âLet me guessâheâs flirting with someone,â Mihir said, nodding toward Vihan, who was chatting with a girl in a red dress.
I tried to act indifferent. âHeâs just being friendly.â
âFriendly? Heâs practically reciting poetry to her,â Mihir deadpanned.
I watched as Vihan leaned closer to the girl, laughing at something she said. My stomach churned, but I forced a smile.
âYou okay?â Mihir asked, his voice softer.
âYeah,â I lied.
When Vihan finally returned, I pretended I hadnât noticed his absence.
âHaving fun?â he asked, handing me a drink.
âLoads,â I said sarcastically.
âGood,â he said, tracing a quick circle on my shoulder. âI wouldnât want my favorite girl to be bored.â
As if he cared...
But no matter how many girls came into his life, my heart stubbornly refused to let him go. And sometimes I hated myself for that. But I was stuck on him.

I wandered through more lanes and recalled other things.
Getting into medical school was a dream come true, but it also brought its own set of challenges.
When we all got into the same medical college, I thought things might change. The four of usâVihan, Gauravi, Mihir, and I-- were still inseparable, navigating the challenges of college life together.
Things changed, yet somehow stayed the same. Vihan had grown into an even bigger flirt, his easy charm now captivating not just classmates but also nurses and interns. Meanwhile, I tried to focus on my studies, convincing myself that my feelings didnât matter. But the truth was undeniable: I loved him.
I loved him when he teased me about my obsessive note-taking. I loved him during our late-night study sessions, where heâd lean over my shoulder, close enough that I could feel the warmth of his breath. I loved him when he traced circles on my back absentmindedly.
But to Vihan, I was still just Roohi. His best friend, the one he could always count on. And as much as it hurt, I never wanted to lose that. Because even if he didnât love me, being by his side was enough. Or at least, thatâs what I told myself.
Loving Vihan was like carrying a secret melody in my heart, a song only I could hear. It was beautiful and painful all at once, a bittersweet reminder of what could never be. And yet, I couldnât stop. Because no matter how much it hurt, he was still the boy who made me laugh when I wanted to cry.
And at that moment, that was enough.
Some things never change.

On my 22nd birthday, I decided to leap. Gauravi helped me pick out a red dress, Vihanâs favorite color, and for once, I let her do my makeup. When Vihan saw me, he froze for a moment before breaking into his signature grin.
âWow, Roohi,â he said, visibly impressed. âYou are looking nice!â
My heart soared.
And then, he added, âYouâre looking so all grown up all of a sudden like Vidya looked when she tried a formal evening gown. I always thought of her as a child till then.â
Vidhya? His sister? The words hit me like a punch to the gut. I wanted to scream, to tell him I wasnât his little anything. But I just smiled weakly and moved on, burying my disappointment as I always did.
"She reminds you of Vidhya? Vidhya?Like seriously? Think before you speak. " Gauravi said.
" What is so offending about it? My sister is very Isn't she? " He was confused.
" Well, Vidhya is very pretty indeed. But we are talking about Roohi at the moment; she already has 6 brothers/cousins, and she doesn't want you... Or any more brothers... She is our best friend, and IÂ don't know where it came from, she has nothing in common with your sister... " Mihir said in a sharp tone.
" Okay!! I meant to say, she looked pretty like that. "
" Just shut up! " Both Mihir and Gauravi said in unison. He looked confused and I... Well, my birthday was spoiled.

Then there were some cute moments like the one in the morgue during our first dissection. I was already nervous, the sterile smell making my stomach churn. Vihan, of course, decided it was the perfect time to mess with me.
âDonât faint, Roohi,â he whispered, smirking as he nudged my arm.
âIâm fine,â I snapped, though I wasnât sure I believed it.
When I leaned over to inspect the cadaver, Vihan gave my elbow a little push, causing me to drop my tools and stumble back. He burst out laughing, doubling over in amusement.
âVihan!â I yelled, glaring at him.
âSorry, sorry,â he said between chuckles, his hand tracing a familiar circle on my back in apology. âYouâre just too fun to mess with.â
I wanted to be furious, but my heart betrayed me.
Vihan had fully embraced his playboy persona by then, flirting with anyone and everyone who crossed his path. And yet, he remained maddeningly protective of me.
