Chapter 26 - Runaway prince
Hurricane
Troy's POV
I cursed under my breath as I couldn't see Liam's car anymore. I had been searching for his car for almost an hour. I decided to drive straight while checking the cars in front of me.
Damn it!
I breathed deeply in annoyance as I couldn't find his car. I pulled my car over and rubbed my chin, thinking.
Where did he disappear?! Maybe, it is our hotel where he is going to. It is one of three hotels near here. And Liam often used our hotel.
I sighed and started the car again. I was grabbing the steering wheel tightly while driving faster. I gritted my teeth as I thought that they were alone in that damn hotel room.
As soon as I parked my car in front of the hotel, I rushed inside.
"Which room did Liam book?" I asked the receptionist as soon as I approached her.
"Mr. Anderson, I can't give this information to you." She replied nervously.
I frowned, closing my eyes. Yes, having professional employees was good, but not in my case.
"Tell the room number now! I order you as your boss!" I stated in an authoritative tone, looking into her eyes.
She bit her lower lip anxiously and nodded. As soon as she gave me the room number which Liam had booked, I rushed towards the elevator.
I knocked on the door furiously while gritting my teeth.
Open this fucking door now, Liam!
A few minutes later, the door opened. I clenched my fist as I saw Liam, just a towel around his waist. Meanwhile, he was looking at me, confused.
"Where is she?" I asked in frustration as I pushed him back and walked into the room.
"Troy! What are you doing?!" Liam shouted, puzzled, rushing behind me.
The girl in the bed screamed in panic and wrapped the cover around her tightly. I looked at her in surprise. It wasn't Rose, but the only reason for my surprise wasn't it. She was holding the cover tightly as her cheeks turned crimson red.
"Mr. Anderson..." She mumbled, embarrassed.
"I am sorry." I muttered as I turned around quickly.
"What the fuck, Troy?!" Liam snapped furiously and clenched his fist. "What is going on between you two?" He added in frustration, clenching his fist as he traveled his gaze from me to the girl.
"Of course nothing." The girl replied instantly while I noticed anger in her voice.
"I am sorry. It is a misunderstanding. I thought she was someone else." I explained, giving him an apologetic look. "I am leaving." I added and left quickly.
"We will talk about it later." Liam shouted behind me angrily and slammed the door.

I was examining my paperwork when Liam barged in, slamming the door behind him angrily.
"What the fuck did get into you that you barged in my suite?!" He snarled in frustration.
I sighed, placing the paperwork down on the desk, and entwined my hands. "It is a misunderstanding. I apologize." I gave him a sincere look.
"What?! You can't get rid of me with just misunderstanding shit!" Liam stated furiously.
"I can't tell. I am sorry." I said, giving him an apologetic look. "Umm... By the way, does my mother know about you...and...her?" I asked.
He breathed deeply as he sat down on a vacant seat beside my desk. He bit his lower lip, rubbing his neck nervously, and shook his head as he mumbled. "No, she doesn't." I frowned. "And she will not. You will not tell her anything. I swear if you tell her, I will kill you." He threatened me.
"Fine, but if she knows, she won't let you play with her feelings." I stated, giving him a knowing look.
"I don't. She is...different." He mumbled without looking at me. He breathed deeply and added. "I want my mother to find out about us from me. But now I cannot tell her anything when I don't know what is going on between us. It is complicated. I need some time." He sighed sadly. He shook his head and looked at me. "Now tell me the truth. Why did you come to the hotel? You looked furious. Who did you think was with me?" He asked firmly, looking into my eyes.
He took a deep breath and confessed. "I thought she was Rose."
"What? Rose Allen? Kate's sister?" He asked, puzzled.
"Yes." I nodded, looking into the space.
"What the hell? She is like a sister to me. Rose was one of a few girls who didn't try to seduce me when we did that campaign with the fashion house she worked at." He said, narrowing his eyes, and shook his head in disbelief.
"I am sorry." I mumbled, feeling embarrassed.
"And if it was her, it didn't give you any rights to barge in my suite. Do you try to protect your dear sister-in-law?" He asked mockingly.
"No." I mumbled and sighed. "Let's forget it."
"Not before you tell me everything. Because of you, she got pissed off at how I thought she had a relationship with both of us. I barely have solved the problem between us before you came; then after you, she got mad and left without letting me say anything. So you owe me it." He inhaled, shaking his head. "Why did you visit me so suddenly thinking it was Rose?" He added firmly, emphasizing the word visit, and rolled his eyes.
I pursed my lips together, looking at my entwined hands, and took a deep breath before telling him about Rose and me.
He looked at me in shock, his mouth agape. "Umm...What are you going to do?" He asked, bewildered and ran his hand through his hair. "Hold on... Is Alec...he...." He muttered with wide eyes.
"I think so. But she doesn't accept." I sighed, running my hand through my hair.
"Holy shit!" Liam exclaimed in shock.
"Did you hear anything about his father when you were working together with Rose?" I asked hopefully.
"Not much. Just Ann, her friend, told me he was an asshole who lied to Rose. He cheated on her or something like this. I don't remember properly." He replied, thinking.
"When I asked Rose why she left me, she accused me of something like this. Rose told me I had another girlfriend while dating her." I confirmed and breathed deeply, holding my head in my hands.
"From your expression, I think I am an uncle. And that asshole is you." He commented, amused and winked at me playfully.
I gave him a dirty look and clarified firmly. "I didn't lie to her nor cheat." I sighed and added. "But I cannot do anything with just presumptions. I have to be sure."
"Then do a DNA test, but I don't think you need it. Moreover, you also know it." He gave me a knowing look. "But why are you afraid? I don't know maybe of Steven." He added and smirked at the last part.
I rolled my eyes and exhaled, depressed. "No, from disappointment. I want him to be my son." I admitted honestly.
He looked at me in surprise and asked with wide eyes. "You still love her?" I bit my lower lip without saying anything. "Uh-oh. You are in trouble. Good luck!" He said mockingly. I sighed, rubbing my neck, lost in my thoughts. He grinned, shaking his head, and stood up. "I need to go. I have a photoshoot, but now I really have. See you." He informed and winked at me.
"See you, and I am sorry for today. Please give my apologies to her too." I said, giving him an apologetic look. He nodded and left.

After the meeting ended, my father and I went to my office to discuss the details of the shopping center project.
A few seconds later, someone knocked on the door.
"Come in." I said firmly as I placed the file in my hand on the desk.
The door opened, and my secretary came in. I gave her a questioning look because I told her not to disturb us.
"Sir, I am sorry, but you have a visitor. You asked me not to disturb. However, I think you would like to be informed." She said, giving me an apologetic look, and pursed her lips, trying to hold her smile. I looked at her in confusion.
"Troy!" Alec rushed towards me, giving me his cheeky grin. I looked at him in surprise.
My secretary smiled and left, closing the door behind her.
"Hey." I beamed happily as I bent down and hugged him tightly.
"I missed you." He confessed as he pulled back.
I smiled, stroking his hair gently and asked, resting my hands on his arms while my father was watching us in amusement, his hand in his pocket. "Who brought you here? Mommy?"
"No, I came alone. I heard my aunt talking about your company. Then I took a taxi and told him to drop me off at your company." He replied proudly.
"Umm... Does your mommy know that you came here? Or grandma?" I asked, worried.
