Chapter 31 - The scent of rose

Hurricane

Rose's POV

"You will have a new one with my sister. Don't worry." I said nonchalantly, trying to control my voice, hiding the sadness I felt.

"What?! Are you out of your mind?! Do you hear what the hell you are talking?! I will not let you separate me from my son again!" He shouted, frustrated.

"Again? I didn't separate you from him." I declared angrily. "I tried to find you, but as you can guess I didn't find you."

He heaved a deep breath, closing his eyes, and stated, determined. "Rose, I don't want to fight with you. I will not give up on my son... nor you." Then he stormed out without letting me say anything.

I sighed, closing my eyes, and leaned against the desk. Everything was a mess, and I didn't know how I would handle this.

However, no matter what happens, I will protect my son at all costs.

I would not let anyone hurt him. I hoped Troy would keep my son out of the drama. I was sure my father would be furious when he found out about it. On the other hand, my sister... I sighed, ruffling my hair, depressed.

A few minutes later, someone knocked on the door and opened it; my assistant walked in hurriedly, holding the newspaper in her hand.

"Ms. Allen, you have to see it." She extended the newspaper towards me.

I grabbed it, giving her a questioning look and looked at the newspaper. "Fuck!"

There was my photo with Alec while playing at the park.

The Hidden Son

The daughter of the well-known attorney, Steven Allen, Rosalie Allen has a four years old son. The famous designer has managed to keep her son a secret till now. But who is the baby daddy?

Troy's POV

I threw the newspaper onto the passenger seat, cursing under my breath. I ruffled my hair, leaning against the headrest. I had to talk to Alec before he found out about it from someone else.

I heaved a sign and started the car after sending a message to Rose informing her that I was coming to the mansion.

I looked at the rear view mirror, ignoring Rose's call as I noticed someone was following me.

As much as I tried to find out who the driver was, I couldn't see him properly because of his large black sunglasses and cap. I accelerated while keeping an eye on the black car which was following me. At first opportunity, I turned the right and increased the speed again.

As I finally understood that no one was following me anymore, I drove to Rose's mansion.

Today Steven called me to talk about the contract we asked of him and mentioned that he was attending an event this evening. So it was a good opportunity to talk to Alec without being disturbed.

I parked my car in front of the mansion and got out of it, grabbing my phone.

The maid greeted me and informed me that Rose and Alec were in their room.

After offering me something to drink, she went to Rose's room to call her.

I was pacing back and forth in the living room nervously, my hand in my pockets. My heart was pounding. I had never been anxious this much. I hoped Alec would not hate me after he found out the truth.

When I lifted my head, I noticed Alec staring at me.

"Hey." I gave him a bright smile. He stared at me without saying anything. I looked at him in confusion and approached him. "Are you okay, buddy?" I asked, worried, looking into his blue eyes as I bent down in front of him.

"Are you my daddy?" Alec asked, catching me off guard. My eyes widened in shock.

"Umm..." I mumbled nervously. Before coming here, I practiced how I would tell him in my head several times, but now my mind went blank.

"I saw your photo with Mommy kissing each other. Once I asked Aunt Ann how parents make babies, she told me when a mommy and daddy kiss, they make babies." Alec said innocently.

"Umm...Yes. But I didn't know about you. I have recently found out that you are my son. If I knew about your existence before, I would never let your mommy leave." I confessed honestly and stroked his cheek affectionately. "Mommy misunderstood something and thought I lied to her, but it was just a misunderstanding. I never lied to her about my feelings." I added, looking into his eyes. "Are you sad about me being your daddy?" I asked nervously.

"No, I love you, daddy." He beamed at me. "I am so happy that you are my father." He added happily.

Tears shimmered in my eyes as I hugged my son in my arms tightly, breathing in his scent.

"I love you so much, my boy." I stroked his hair gently as I pulled back slightly and kissed his cheeks while wrapping my arm around him.

"Don't cry, Daddy." He said and wiped my tears off my cheeks with his little hand. I smiled at him tenderly and placed a soft kiss on his palm. "But Mommy told me my father's name is Hector." He furrowed his eyes in confusion.

I nodded and gave him a warm smile. "It is a long story, but Mommy thought my name was Hector, but I am Troy."

"I like the name Troy more." He said softly. I smiled and hugged him tightly, kissing his hair.

When I lifted my head up, I saw Rose watching us while crying.

"But Daddy, why will you marry my aunt, not my mother? Don't you love Mommy anymore?" He asked, puzzled.

I bit my lower lip uncomfortably as I ran my hand through my hair and looked at Rose. She looked at me sadly and wiped her tears off her cheeks with the back of her hand, averting her gaze.

"I love your mommy so much." I confessed, looking at Rose. She bit her lower lip while looking at me with teary eyes. I sighed and looked at Alec. "Umm... It is a long story. Sometimes adults do opposites of how they feel." I added sadly.

"Hmm... Adults are so difficult." He commented, furrowing his eyebrows, and sighed.

I chuckled in amusement and kissed his cheek. "Yeah." I nodded and hugged him in my arms tightly.

"Are we going to live with you?" Alec asked hopefully.

"Umm..." I looked at Rose. She pursed her lips, averting her gaze. I traveled my gaze from her to my son and sighed. "Unfortunately not, but for now." I winked at him and gave him a wicked grin. Then I looked at Rose and stated. "Soon we will leave together. You, Mommy and I."

"Troy!" Rose warned me in a low tone, giving me a death glare.

"But firstly, Daddy has to convince your mommy." I confirmed and winked at him playfully. I noticed Rose rolling her eyes.

"Okay. But be quick!" Alec demanded firmly.

I chuckled and nodded. "Fine!" I said and looked at Rose, smirking devilishly.

"Umm...Alec..." Rose approached us and bent down beside me. "But you have to keep it a secret for a while. Don't tell anyone about it. Think it is a game between us: you, your father and me. Our secret." She said softly and stroked Alec's hair tenderly.

He nodded, smiling, and hugged both of us. I smiled happily and wrapped my arms around Alec and Rose.

***

I placed my phone on the centre table after sending a message to Kate and leaned against the couch, closing my eyes. I asked her when she was coming back and told her we had to talk. She informed me that she was going to come in two days because the problem took much longer than she thought.

I stood up in excitement as the elevator doors opened and Alec rushed towards me happily. I grinned as I hugged him and took him in my arms, kissing his cheeks gently.

We planned to spend this weekend together. I asked Rose to join us as well, but she refused. However, Alec managed to convince her to join us today. We were going to have lunch in my penthouse; then, we were going to the park.

I put Alec down and greeted Rose, placing a soft kiss on her cheek. I closed my eyes, breathing in her scent before pulling back. I was addicted to her mind-blowing scent.

She greeted me back as her cheeks blushed slightly, and she looked around while I was staring at the most beautiful woman in this world who owned my heart. She looked gorgeous in her midi violet halter dress.
