Chapter 219
Harry Potter: A Certain Ancient Rune Professor of Hogwarts (TL)
âLetâs find the right magic rune quickly,â Hermione reminded them, âthis lesson is very important, if you can find the one that suits you, I will tutor you â¦â
âYou have mastered all these magic runes? And this isnât theoretical magic runes, but a practical one!â Ron said in surprise.
âDonât say silly things, how can I know all of them.â Hermione said, âBut I certainly learn faster than you!â
Next, Harry and Ronâs approach became much more enthusiastic. Not only the two of them, but also the other young wizards, were interested in this new and exciting way of teaching.
Daphne Greengrass glanced at a dark green, slim, dexterous magic rune, âI think itâs talking to me, but I canât hear it.ân/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
âThatâs more than enough to tell,â said an annoyed Gryffindor next to her, who hadnât got half as far as she had. âDo me a favour and give me your spot.â
Neville reached out his round hand to probe a fiery red magic rune, âGet out of the way, Longbottom.â Draco said, accompanied by his two followers. He gazed covetously at the magic rune, which appeared to be the brightest of all the runes.
Neville flinched and took a step back, then persisted and stayed where he is, âI came first.â He muttered.
âWhat did you say, I didnât hear you, maybe you want another taste of the Leg-Locker Curse?â Draco whispered threateningly.
âWhat happened?â Felix appeared out of nowhere, heâd been keeping an eye on Neville.
âNothing, Professor.â Draco gave a reserved smile, â Longbottom probably didnât do well in Potions class, so heâs just wiping his tears.â
Neville clenched his fist and said stubbornly, âIâm not wiping my tears.â Tears welled up in his eyes.
âMalfoy, you come with me.â Felix said, âThe rest of you go on, oh Longbottom, I think that rustic magic rune on the left side of your hand would suit you well, you can try it.â
He led Draco outside the classroom.
âProfessor Hap,â Draco said with some panic, he isnât afraid of losing points, but he is afraid of copying two more large thick books, the lesson from last year is still fresh in his mind.
But he heard Professor Hap ask him calmly, âMalfoy, tell me, does bullying the weak give you pleasure?â
âI, I â¦â
â Well, I can see that you havenât said that word since your last detention, right?â
Draco tried to be tough, but he felt like his thoughts had been seen through long ago. âNo.â So he said in a low voice.
The word is âmudbloodâ.
âIsnât that great, I always thought you are a bright student, I knew it when you came up with the idea of dragging black magic items around in a scarf.â
Felix said, âI think you can do much more than that, Malfoy, prove it.â
When Draco returned to the classroom, Pansy Parkinson immediately came up to him, âDraco, did you get your points deducted, or were you detained?â
âNo,â Draco said blankly, âThe professor complimented me.â
In the afternoon of the same day, the Magic Rune Club recruitment posters that had been hanging on the bulletin board for weeks were finally replaced with a long list of names.
âThere are only seven people in the first slot.â
A small wizard muttered, âHermione Granger, Fred Weasley, George Weasley, 3 from Gryffindor alone.â
âItâs normal, Granger is an assistant of the Ancient Runes class, it is said that she is proficient in more than one practical magic runes, the rough mastery in more than a hundred, and she can easily break the armrest of a solid wood chair, and the twins, couple mirror have you heard of it?â His friend said.
âHey â how to say, I have already booked it, but have to wait until Halloween to get it in my hands.â
âIt started so fast, and I am still hesitating!â
âFirst come, first served.â
âWho are the rest of them?â
âHufflepuff got one, Cedric Diggory, and he really is the best. Other than that, Ravenclaw got two and Slytherin got one â itâs the Head boy named Geoffrey, the one whoâs usually quite condescending.â
On the second-floor stairs of the castle, Felix is talking to a young girl with tousled blonde hair, her wand stuck behind her left ear.
Luna Lovegood handed him two pieces of parchment.
âWhatâs this?â Felix took them.
âItâs my essay, but Iâve only written two feet, and thatâs not enough words.â
âYou want me to help you slip by? Youâre not old enough.â Felix chuckled.
âNo, I was worried that you would be sad if you couldnât recruit enough people, so I wrote something casually. I visited the day of the test, and there were so many people that I didnât go in.â Luna said as she shook her hair. âI also recommended Ravenclaw students to sign up.â
Felix said with an odd look on his face, âI once heard from more than one Ravenclaw student that there was a crazy ⦠a second-year going from student to student advertising the Magic Rune Club to them.â
âYes, thatâs one of my nicknames, Crazy Girl, Loony, and I donât think itâs too bad.â
âThank you so much, Miss Lovegood.â
âWeâre friends, arenât we?â She gave him a look as if to confirm.
âThatâs right, Luna.â
Luna smiled, âBy the way, thereâs something else I really want to ask you about â¦â
Felix looked at her, â As long as I know.â
âI ran into a professor the other day who has been inviting me to be her assistant.â
Felix suspected he had heard her wrong, how is this tactic seems so familiar, which professor had learned from him and wanted to slack off too?
âWho invited you?â He asked.
âI donât know either, I havenât seen her before.â She shook her head and said.
âThen you can describe how she looked like, right?â
âWith a beautiful pair of glasses, a shiny transparent shawl, and she has more bracelets on her wrists than I do,â she described seriously, while saying with deliberate emphasis, âA lot more!â
Felix listened to these descriptions, how so similar to Sybill Trelawney? But the Trelawney in Lunaâs mouth is much more embellished, I should be honest, both of them worthy of being a Ravenclaw right? â¦
He looked at Luna seriously and asked probingly, âHow did you run into each other?â
Luna Lovegood is only a second year, and by all rights, she couldnât have come into contact with Sybill Trelawney.
âI came out of classroom seven the other day and thought there is nothing to do, so I wandered around the castle and met a very interesting portrait of a knight on the seventh floor â he was looking for a lost horse, and we talked a bit, and he told me there is a free show to see in the north tower room with the flappy doors. â
âThe person youâre talking about is Trelawney? How come I didnât know she has a hobby of performing?â Felix looked a little incredulous, but Trelawneyâs place is indeed at the top of the North Tower, attached to her divination classroom.
Luna first nodded, then she put on a terrified expression, âYes, itâs not clear ⦠dear, donât force me, I canât tell you!â Then she said thoughtfully, âItâs this kind of performance, and frankly, Iâm not very skilled at it.â
Felix said with a wooden expression, âAnd then what, what happened then, she couldnât have picked you out instantly because you peeked at her black history ⦠her performance, could she?â
âNo, I guess, except that she seemed a little excited â probably because I interrupted her state, but then she said I might have some kind of Inner Eye and invited me to become her assistant.â
Felix asked, âHave you ever heard of a divination class?â
âYeah,â Luna blinked her light-colored eyes, âyeah, one of the third-year electives, but I wasnât going to take Divination.â
âWhy?â
âI prefer to look at the stars, and a centaur friend of mine taught me astrology and gave me some rattle and aromatic mallow, and by scorching it, it would attract a swarm of smoke-like creatures that would make prophecies by twisting themselves into various shapes,â Luna said.
Itâs actually observing smoke shapes, right? Felix guessed.
â-And Iâve already decided to take Ancient Runes and Care of Magical Creatures class next year, the time may conflict for other classes.â
